Also if you want a bit more improvement then add coco beans near the leaves of those trees, since their fully grown version looks a bit like coconut. All in all, it's something to enjoy looking at compared to empty ocean.

Marloe, the volcano island looks great, and I admire your dedication in building the island foundation! I agree, the jungle leaves for the palm trees have a much nicer texture. It’s a great idea to create an area just to make the scenery more alive and interesting!🌴
The volcano looks great ! I think you should put haybales under some of the campfires but not all of them. Having just some of the smoke columns be taller would look more natural I think. And great job on getting all those turtles, I had such a hard time finding them in the 1.19 world where I play !
The idea of a pristine volcanic island is really nice! I’ve heard that the soil around volcanoes is really good Hopefully it doesn’t erupt with the turtles on it!
For me the smoke coming out of the volcano's just right. Thanks for the tip of using haybales to increase the smoke particles. I didn't know that. Still, a beautiful volcano island.

The volcano really looks cool and I never seen one (in minecraft that is) of this scale but that actually looks nice, I love your mixes of darker colors like blackstone and basalt but still with the lighter tones of the stone and andesite. Really done a great job on this! Also, maybe remove some haybales so it looks better in a "life realism" way (LoL) Maybe adding some magma blocks and soul sand/soil may look cool too? Anyway, continue your great work! As I said last time I really look forward to these pirate theme builds!
Hey Marloe i think you shoul add some small kayak type boats on the shore of the island it would give a lot of character to the place and a kingdom of a backstory
I thought you were going to make some custom smoke with glass and cobwebs, but the campfire smoke was actually pretty good. Biggest problem with it, I'd say is the lack of horizontal movement that would normally be caused by air currents.
Cool idea! I think your disaffection stems from the verticality of your volcano. If you look at pics of real volcanic islands, and consider the physics of gravity, you’ll find it’s a little tall for the size of your island. I agree with others that, perhaps, a mixture of hay bales and non might give a bit of variety in the smoke levels. Idk if Minecraft smoke will travel a slope; if not, maybe some grey glass panes stemming from all-lower-bonfire-smoke could indicate wind direction. You could even use magma blocks with smoke to indicate openings in those darker areas….like the magma and fumes is what’s blackening those areas.
I just finished building this in creative entirely by pausing and copying it off what I saw in the video, it was so painstaking but def worth it! It's such a pretty volcano!

remove the outermost hay bales giving off the effect that it is the hottest in the middle, rather than consistent billowing smoke, looks great though.
I think the best idea is to remove some haybails and some campfires, that way you have some more variation!
