Great video! Any idea if there will be some sort of mode of transportation from Epic Universe to Universal studios/Islands of Adventure? Like how the Hogwarts express will take guests to and from IOA/US?
@@ThemeParkStop if this new ride coming to Epic Universe then what is going to replace Fear Factor live over at Universal Studios Florida my Idea to replace fear factor live is a dark ride attraction based on the Five Nights’s At Freddy’s game franchise
@KevonLeKevin is just Five Night’s at Freddy’s is one of these franchises that Universal need to use because Disney is well popular with Star Wars and Marvel
Absolutely wild that Universal was able to make the SCOOP vehicle for a 1999 ride. Those vehicles still feel so amazing during the two rides in Orlando.
And with the no 3D, wider viewing angle of Jurassic World Adventure, with large scale animatronics, in Beijing, they’re only now just starting to utilize it in new ways.
Considering that the upper reaches of the British Ministry Floo Hub are allegedly the main gateway to Magical Britain for the rest of the Wizarding World, and that the rest of it is to service the main venue of executive governance for Magical Britain, according to lore, it stands to reason that Wizarding Britain would regard it like a major underground station or an airport. As there are in most major airports such things as bookstores, quick service restaurants, coffee shops, duty-free stores, and even clothing venues, it would be perfectly in character for Universal Creative to put some of those in this area, too.
I noticed the behind the scenes book showed small cafes and such inside the atrium area so employees of the Ministry can pick up coffee and tea on their way to work, so they could work in a shop inside there if they wanted to. Even if not, there will be several Parisian streets at the front of the new land, leading to the rides at the back, and those will contain retails locations and dining.
I’d literally spend all day there 😅 I personally feel like the fantastic beasts side of the franchise is truly untapped potential (despite the quality of the movies/books). They wouldn’t have to settle for just an animatronic zoo either. Themed rides and trails/attractions through say, the forbidden forest would be amazing. There are forbidden forest experience trails that I’ve been to, and even though it’s obv working on a much smaller budget than the parks, it was still extremely fun and enjoyable
The trial could be a waiting room in the queue. Everyone sits in the room for the trial with actors, then when she escapes we have to evacuate using the elevators and then the ride begins.
That’s basically what the original idea was except you were already in the ride watching it. Would be sort of anticlimactic to watch the escape then have to spend 15 minutes getting everyone buckled into the ride
@@joeross6540 Depends how they do it I think. There’s some attraction with a mid scenario in the queue. This one would just be more intense. Then for the rest of the queue you have alarms sound and people running around.
I think this would be a good fit at USF because they already have the London waterfront. But I can understand that their is limited space. It just seems a bit strange to be going to the British ministry when you were in Paris. I am sure universal will ace it though and Disney’s going to actually have to compete again.
i think the only thing that will make disney step up their quality is seeing an attendance decrease. as long as they’re making money they will suffer bob chaepek and his cash grab policies. meanwhile universal will continue to out perform and gain more customers

They need to find a way to incorporate this at USF - it makes more sense when they already have an area there that's themed to London and Diagon Alley, as opposed to situating a British Ministry in another country! It would also solve the problem of Diagon Alley lacking a second attraction (and the park as a whole having a weaker slate of attractions). This could be the boost in the arm USF needs. Keep Epic Universe's Wizarding World themed to Paris and the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
Universal has probably been looking at streaming data from the pandemic and concluded that Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows Part I are much more popular than the two Fantastic Beasts movies. So they're hedging their bets in case Secrets of Dumbledore underperforms. I'd expect something like $150M domestic and $500M worldwide to be the tipping point metrics. If "Dumbledore" outperforms that, then the Scoop concept can be re-dressed as a Fantastic Beasts ride in 1920s Paris, and the theater show can focus on the resistance against Grindelwald.
Nah the Fantastic Beast movies are pretty bad and Universal is listening to the flack Disney got for making galaxy's edge based on the sequels. If it weren't for ROTR being as technically advanced and as good of a ride as it is, no one would care about galaxy's edge.
I think basing à land with the Fantastic Beast would be a mistake. They haven’t done that well at the box office and don’t have the same nostalgia factor that the original film have. In USF they should just retheme F&F to the Knight Bus and extend the Wizarding World through that.

Hopefully they’ll put two big time attractions in the same area. That way hopefully it would cut down on the wait times a little bit. Thank you for your content and your info.
If anything it'll do the opposite and turn the area into a Hogsmeade situation. Hogsmeade despite it's size is immensely crowded all of the time since there are three rides located there. Contrast that to Diagon alley, which is most of the time even in the summer not crowded and spacious with only one ride drawing crowds the surrounding area is more open and more immersive.
once these two new coasters open in disney (tron and guardians) we will know who the real boss is imo. if these coasters aren’t cool then disney has failed at making thrilling rides completely
@@ducktails1695 Rise of the Resistance, Flight of Passage, Smuggler's Run, Slinky Dog Dash, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train etc. are from 20+ years ago? This is news to me.
Not sure i would describe it as "incredible". As much as I love Universal I think they lack "incredible" theming.. especially because they are considered a theme park. There are a lot of areas that just seem halfdone and not thought out. We can see backstage areas, and visible track that has nothing to do with the story... The theme literally disappears when you can stand in the Wizarding World and see Jurassic park and a dino-rollercoaster fly by. the food offerings are hardly themed and are horrible. It often feels like an incredible amusement park, instead of a theme park. Disney is WAY better at theming: rides, food, characters, lands etc. although they are starting to disappoint in the guest experience of the parks. Pandora and Batuu are incredible, and nothing at Universal Studios can compare. Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade are great, but they are still just "buildings"... not that impressive compared to flying mountains and glowing plants. I am really hoping Epic Universe will save the Universal Parks, cause Islands of Adventure and Universal are honestly quite bad.
I wonder if Epic Universe is going to be a great and awesome theme park that Universal Orlando Resort announced back in August 2019? It's totally going to be different than the other Universal Parks around the world. This will take this to a whole other level.
i think the screen ideas would be cool but i feel a tower of terror like attraction would be crazy even though it’s highly unlikely it would definitely be one of the top attractions at universal
here's some ideas for Harry Potter rides and attractions they should consider in the future * Azkaban rollercoaster * a Quidditch simulator show where you sit in an auditorium that's supposed to look like you're sitting outside in the stands and big screen is supposed to show the Quidditch pitch * Shrieking Shack ride * Chamber of Secrets ride * Malfoy manor ride
This is crazy! I want to go back so bad but I think I’m planning to wait until 2025 when the land is opened! Yes it’s a long wait, but it gives my wife and I more than enough time to save for an extravagant universal/ epic universe vacation :)
Another great video.. I am very excited for this new park and the previous Harry Potter lands are so well done I can’t wait to see how this one turns out..
Random: I can’t believe that a quarter of their park is How To Train Your Dragon. That is already so old and not a really big deal. It doesn’t belong there and its not a very huge or timeless franchise. What were they thinking? I bet this doesn’t go through
i think it will do well mostly because dragons are cool. sorta like how Jurassic park will always be appealing simply because dinosaurs are cool. obviously jurassic park has popular movies too, but my point still stands
Would rather see the Scoop concept used for a Fantastic Beasts ride at EU, and the compact elevator concept (themed to the Order of the Phoenix battle) replacing Fear Factor at USF. That'll require Secrets of Dumbledore to Exceed Expectations though, so we'll see how that stands in about a month.
It bombed and now there are rumors of the Fantastic Beasts concept being replaced with more classic Harry Potter stuff. Kinda disappointed because while I don't like the Fantastic Beasts movies I would love to visit a 1920s-themed land
I like the elevator and the changing scenes concept, interested to see what they do with that. I'm hoping for some physical sets that can be shifted around and enhanced with projections for changing scenes, similar to the finale of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway
All that land, should of built LIFE SIZED Hogwarts castle, complete with dining hall, 1000s of talking paintings, common rooms, secret passageways, moving staircases, Forbidden forest, EVERYTHING
the issue with that is space... the fear factor live stage doesn't have a whole lot of room for a brand new area, and especially not room for an attraction like the one they're planning for Epic Universe
@@Lil_Angry_Bitch I’d love to see a different MIB attraction for the Hollywood section so that ride could be moved elsewhere to make space for a new Ministry section!
I have such a good idea for a ride. death eaters in a dark room have their wands with lumps guiding us to our seats on the ride and in a dark mystery room like maybe the prophecy room or something of the sorta and the music would be "another story" from film 5.
Here’s everything thing we think we know, have heard rumours about, hearsay, our own imagination, best guesses based on filed patents and what we think would be cool to include in this video, about the ministry of magic ride. Lol great video 😀😀😀😀
no offense, but i hope you’re wrong about it being a ride based in an elevator. that just doesn’t seem too thrilling to me. i’d much rather them have a ride that takes us on a journey through the ministry as harry and the gang trying to find sirius in the department of mysteries, only to find out they’ve been tricked. then we get to see the aurors vs death eaters and ultimately dumbledore vs voldemort!
Hmm I don't know... Your elevator pitch (pun intended) sounds a bit small for such a big ride. To me it sounds more like it could be the second smaller ride.
With Harry and Friends all grown up , I would love to see some Fantastic Beasts in the Ministry Of Magic side and adding Newt , Nifflers and a Carrusel with all different Beasts would be amazing!!
I like the lift idea, I don't see the timeline making sense, uk Ministery of Magic is not featured in Fantastic Beasts, the French one is, not so sure on the scoop vehicles, because a lot of universal rides have a simulator type motion to them, I have a feeling the ride could be more frightening than other wizarding world rides, if you got to meet an Obscurel that would be terrifyingly good.
Based on what she described, it doesn't need to be that big. The vehicle is not going to move laterally and will just go up and down between two changing screens. That means it would be a small footprint and they can add multiple theaters.
True, but since they changed ride vehicles to the Scoop since coming up with that plan, I wonder if we may see more traditional dark ride scenes as well? In either case, permits list the structure as at least 5 stories tall in one spot, so the building will at least be pretty tall for a ride building! If you include the entry hall and atrium, this will be larger than Mario Kart is footprint too.
Quick question, will the ride still exclusively move up and down just with a new vehicle or will it move around the building as well like Spider-Man or Transformers? Great job as always with the video!
I’m so sorry I accidentally pushed the dislike button instead of the like! I promise I think you do a wonderful job and am grateful you are keeping my desire to visit Orlando with my kids alive!
ok but like I know this video is supposed to be all about the new harry potter area, but I still can‘t get over the fact tHAT NO ONE WAS GONNA TELL ME THERE‘S GONNA BE A HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON AREA????? THOSE MOVIES AND BOOKS WERE MY CHILDHOOD (also yes, I don‘t stay up to date with theme park stuff so I didn‘t know about any of these plans until I watched this video)
I know that the Ministry of Magic is not an appropriate setting for them to appear, but I really want a comedy attraction that involves the Weasley twins.
i mean...disney for galaxys edge really dove head first into making scanning crates a really big and important thing...it would only make sense that universal would have a ride with the story centered around a trial in a courtroom.....lolz....
It makes no sense to have the Ministry in Epic Universe, London is in USF, so keep the ministry there, the land that would be cleared to create the ministry from Fear Factor would be plenty big enough, especially for a Tower of Terror style ride or a tall enclosed coaster, or a mixture of both. I remember seeing a prototype design a couple of years back that Universal applied a patent for, featuring a carriage on wheels that turned into a cable car, maybe this is the transport method of going between London and Epic Universe. Exciting times!
A Fantastic Beasts ride where you get to experience the Dumbledore/Grindelwald duel in all its epic glory is the attraction I hope to see. The entire movie franchise is supposed to be leading up to it anyway.
weird they had one bad go at trackless they scraped them all just seems so weird as Disney parks have done them flawlessly I haven't been to the American parks but the trackless rides I rode in Tokyo Disney were amazing trackless rides have to much more manoeuvrability that can do so many more things that a track really cant do
Something I find notably amusing about the Umbridge concept is... why would the Death Eaters even bother with her? The literal only thing that made her threatening was the fact that she was a... for lack of better terms, tyrannical bureaucratic... [expletive]. The only way in which she threatened anyone was through dinging them on her stupid, overreaching rules (though to a very malevolent effect in Deathly Hallows). She's not a capable fighter, she's just a jerk with legal power. Legal power that is almost certainly stripped after the story's events, due to her closeness with Voldemort. Why would even the Death Eaters, splintered and scattered after their lord's demise, bother rescuing what is effectively worthless to them? I'm pretty sure she's not even a proper Death Eater! Don't get me wrong, I *really* want to see Umbridge finally get her dues. It's part of the reason Fred and George's magnificent display of magical mayhem when "escaping" the school is one of my favorite scenes. I'm just amused at the idea that the Death Eaters still see value on a judge who's never gonna have a courtroom.
She is definitely not a Death Eater - her loyalty was to the Minister/Ministry, whomever they were, particularly if they were authoritarian. She wanted a bureaucrat outlet for her cruelty. But there is no canonical reason for the Death Eaters to rescue her!
Here's a theory of the second attraction. Maybe the second Harry Potter attraction is supposed to be a second E-Ticket attraction like Rise of the Resistance was and it's going to be a roller coaster themed to Grindelwald.
I'd love a Ministry of Magic trial set in a theater like Disney's old ExtraTerrorRestrial Encounter. Everything's going fine, then suddenly the lights go out and dementors are loose in the room!
I hope they make the ride closer to how rise of the resistance is. Sitting in a moving cab just from screen to screen is pathetic as heck. I can do that at home. There are so many options to make it really neat. I hope they don't screw it up.
I like to think they killed the VR idea after reading the lack of enthusiasm in Alicia's comment sections! She's THAT important! Things seem under control on the British side of things, yet still nothing about the French side. Won't it be weird if this land opens with a French theme and two British attractions? (Hey, Universal... Roller coaster in the French Ministry! Easy peasy!)
Judging by the Jurassic World ride at Beijing, SCOOP rides can do more than just looking at screens. If this new ride is similar to that, then I think it'll be a great ride. If it's the elevator concept... then yeah, I see where you're coming from.
Yeah. The original trackless concept based around the trial seemed much more impressive and lended itself to some great story beats. I’m sure the actual ride will be good but another SCOOP ride is a let down and something I would expect to see adjacent to Diagon Alley.
Rise of the Resistance is good (for a Disney ride), but it’s severely lacking a thrill factor. It’s more of an experience. I’d much rather see something thrilling for the Ministry of Magic attraction. The elevator concept gives plenty of room for that idea.

Their rides and theming recently are incredible
Disney has incredible rides? LOL The only thing they have are outdated rides created 20+yrs ago.
once these two new coasters open in disney (tron and guardians) we will know who the real boss is imo. if these coasters aren’t cool then disney has failed at making thrilling rides completely
@@ducktails1695 Rise of the Resistance, Flight of Passage, Smuggler's Run, Slinky Dog Dash, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train etc. are from 20+ years ago? This is news to me.
@@BatMaul Might as well be
Not sure i would describe it as "incredible".
And you called it two years ago! Fire!this ride is going to be NUTS
You are awesome Alesha keep up the good work
Thank you! I appreciate it!
i think the screen ideas would be cool but i feel a tower of terror like attraction would be crazy even though it’s highly unlikely it would definitely be one of the top attractions at universal
I’m excited but everything on that park map looks spaced out and isolated. Hope they find a way to make the flow and pacing of the park right
here's some ideas for Harry Potter rides and attractions they should consider in the future
* Azkaban rollercoaster
* a Quidditch simulator show where you sit in an auditorium that's supposed to look like you're sitting outside in the stands and big screen is supposed to show the Quidditch pitch
* Shrieking Shack ride
* Chamber of Secrets ride
* Malfoy manor ride
they should totally make a quidditch match show like bourne!!!
This is crazy! I want to go back so bad but I think I’m planning to wait until 2025 when the land is opened! Yes it’s a long wait, but it gives my wife and I more than enough time to save for an extravagant universal/ epic universe vacation :)
Hopefully by then Covid shouldn't be that much of an issue ...... God Willing.
Great vid! Although the background music is too loud :(
Another great video.. I am very excited for this new park and the previous Harry Potter lands are so well done I can’t wait to see how this one turns out..
I really hope they made an actual thrilling dark ride tower of terror ish would be awesome
I’d imagine those Spider-Man ride vehicles can probably spin 180 degrees, which would allow even more “hallways everywhere!” effects.
Can’t wait for this 😘❤️🏴
With a lot of people boycotting Disney it would be smart of Universal to add Johnny Depp’s character here, bringing more customers.
9:04-9:20 you're talking my language especially animatronics and sets
The Ministry should be an expansion to the existing Diagon Alley section!
the issue with that is space... the fear factor live stage doesn't have a whole lot of room for a brand new area, and especially not room for an attraction like the one they're planning for Epic Universe
@@fernisaperson They could get rid of MIB, then they would have more space.
Honestly, you can just keep showing these concept art shots and I'll keep watching.
no offense, but i hope you’re wrong about it being a ride based in an elevator. that just doesn’t seem too thrilling to me. i’d much rather them have a ride that takes us on a journey through the ministry as harry and the gang trying to find sirius in the department of mysteries, only to find out they’ve been tricked. then we get to see the aurors vs death eaters and ultimately dumbledore vs voldemort!
Hmm I don't know... Your elevator pitch (pun intended) sounds a bit small for such a big ride. To me it sounds more like it could be the second smaller ride.
I am so tired of universal Hollywood having absolutely nothing in comparison to Orlando lmao
So many possibilities!
If only the Fantastic Beasts movies were good-(maybe third times the charm)-then we could have huge animatronic creatures.
Are there any hints or possibly of transportation (other than the shuttles) to and from the Main parks/City Walk and Epic Universe.
So far, only dedicated bus lanes along the extended Kirkman Rd connecting the two resorts.
I NEEDED MY EPIC UNIVERSE THANK YOU!!!
This one aged well for storyline....
Is universal studios in LA getting something like that too?
Nope...no room. You're lucky there's room for a smaller version of Super Nintendo World.
How big is the footprint for the new ride? Is it about as big as Transformers?
Based on what she described, it doesn't need to be that big. The vehicle is not going to move laterally and will just go up and down between two changing screens. That means it would be a small footprint and they can add multiple theaters.
True, but since they changed ride vehicles to the Scoop since coming up with that plan, I wonder if we may see more traditional dark ride scenes as well? In either case, permits list the structure as at least 5 stories tall in one spot, so the building will at least be pretty tall for a ride building! If you include the entry hall and atrium, this will be larger than Mario Kart is footprint too.
What if the ride focus of time travel aka a Harry Potter and fantastic beasts crossover ride?
I like your information. I like your content. And I like your voice. Thank you for the video.
Thank you!
@@ThemeParkStop 👍🏾🙏🏾
Quick question, will the ride still exclusively move up and down just with a new vehicle or will it move around the building as well like Spider-Man or Transformers? Great job as always with the video!
an interactive harry potter or fantastic beasts ride would be amazing!!!
I’m so sorry I accidentally pushed the dislike button instead of the like! I promise I think you do a wonderful job and am grateful you are keeping my desire to visit Orlando with my kids alive!
So glad to hear you're enjoying the videos!
ok but like I know this video is supposed to be all about the new harry potter area, but I still can‘t get over the fact tHAT NO ONE WAS GONNA TELL ME THERE‘S GONNA BE A HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON AREA????? THOSE MOVIES AND BOOKS WERE MY CHILDHOOD
(also yes, I don‘t stay up to date with theme park stuff so I didn‘t know about any of these plans until I watched this video)
Check out the Epic Universe News playlist on the channel for more coverage of all the lands!
I think it would be cool if it was like tower of terror like moving fast forward and backwards and up and down
Guardians of galaxy is way better than tower of terror by far more intense drops and it drops more than just once
I feel like they need some C and D tickets. Rides look great but king of worried there won’t be enough like the disney parks.
We need an update on this!!
So basically this ride will be a hybrid between Tower of terror and transformers ride cool! 😊👍
Just occurred to me that Universal has the rights to David S. Pumpkins.
This thought did not escape me while reviewing the patent information.
Amazing! I want this: 💀🎃💀
Thanks mom for another great video
You’re welcome, son
A Fantastic Beasts ride where you get to experience the Dumbledore/Grindelwald duel in all its epic glory is the attraction I hope to see. The entire movie franchise is supposed to be leading up to it anyway.
I was not expecting an extension of the wizarding world, so chuffed about that!
I feel they need a tube train to connect Kings Cross into central London. Linking the three parks up.
Won't happen, but it would be cool!
the ride sounds sick and i love the story line!
THIS REALLY SOUNDS FANTASTIC!!! :-O
weird they had one bad go at trackless they scraped them all just seems so weird as Disney parks have done them flawlessly I haven't been to the American parks but the trackless rides I rode in Tokyo Disney were amazing trackless rides have to much more manoeuvrability that can do so many more things that a track really cant do
Universal needs more rides and activities that cater to all body types and sizes. A dark ride that’s an Omni mover would be awesome
This needs to be in Universal Hollywood
Are there any plans for Jurassic world in epic universe?
more permits talk yeeyyy!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥴🤪😁
Why would Dementors break Umbridge out? And why would Death Eaters try to protect her from Aurors?
I like to think they killed the VR idea after reading the lack of enthusiasm in Alicia's comment sections! She's THAT important!
Things seem under control on the British side of things, yet still nothing about the French side. Won't it be weird if this land opens with a French theme and two British attractions? (Hey, Universal... Roller coaster in the French Ministry! Easy peasy!)
i thought the Centaurus killed Umbridge in the forbidden forest
I hope this isn't true. They have an opportunity to build something on the level of Rise and I think they should.
Rise has terrible downtime though, they really need to think of guest counts and satisfaction when using new ride technology.
@@wesley815 thus why Universal isn’t doing trackless. I get it but it’s a disappointment.
I wish they would put in St. Mungos. I feel like people who read the books are the only ones who know about it.
How is this 2 years old 😭😭??
