    What printing settings do you used? I printed a few different ones but don’t have very vibrant colors yet or maybe it’s just me and I just want more shine 🤦🏾‍♀️

    I’m about to purchase this kind of printer. So where did you buy your eco solvent ink at?

    So how is the quality of this ink compared to stock dye Ink? Can I still swap out the dye ink and put this in?

    Is it a specific eco solvant ink that u use or even the ink that in in aliexpress can be used in ecotank printers!?

    • @rurusuniverse695
      @rurusuniverse695  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has to be water based. Not oil based. As far as the one from Aliexpress I won’t put a high recommendation on it as I tried it before and clogs easily. I’m happy with eco rush ecosolvent off Etsy and also another shop on there which is less expensive. They’re not awesome ink.

    Hi! So I’m trying to do this with my ET 2803. Do I have to wait till I run out of the ink that came with the printer to do the conversion?

    • @rurusuniverse695
      @rurusuniverse695  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can wait or you can either drain the ink with syringes. You can find some awesome videos on here on how to.

    • @rurusuniverse695

      No maintenance or clogging lately, I’ve been using it. If is sits without being use I’m sure could cause clogging like any other printer. I use the siser color easy vinyl from heat transfer warehouse. Thank you 😊

      Water-based only… the oil based will deteriorate the inside of the printer real quick .

    • @rurusuniverse695
      @rurusuniverse695  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s not printing right, could be a clog, which will requires going in to clean the ink cartridges. They are some helpful videos on TH-cam if you do a search .

    I just set my 8550 up and did everything, only the magenta and yellow are printing...I've done 5 print head cleanings and still just those 2 colors...what do I do?

    • @rurusuniverse695
      @rurusuniverse695  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would try flushing the print head with cleaning solution. There’s some good videos on here on how to. I also found that it could be the ink itself too. Here’s where I got my ink from and never had that issue again.

    It's not eco solvent ink. Eco solvent ink would melt the internals of normal Epson printers, and water and solvent doesn't mix. What it actually is, is latex ink being passed off as some new water based eco solvent ink.

    • @rurusuniverse695
      @rurusuniverse695  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes correct; It’s being referred to as water based eco solvent ink

    What is the difference between sublimation?

    • @rurusuniverse695
      @rurusuniverse695  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sublimation is ink directly to garment/material can only be done on light colored fabric that is at least 50% of higher polyester count. The higher the polyester count the brighter your image. You cannot sublimate on black. You can sublimate on materials like white glitter vinyl, subli easy and a few more but you will press those on your dark colors of 100% cotton shirts then press your sublimation image. As for ecosolvent you are printing an image directly to printable vinyl and can cut with you Cricut or silhouette, any vinyl cutter you use; then you can use transfer tape to press it directly onto your garment. The polyester or cotton count will play no factor with this method nor the color being dark or light. Each use special inks and materials. My explanation is shallow, there’s so many more info on both methods. Thank you 😊

    • @rurusuniverse695
      @rurusuniverse695  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi you will need your water based ecosolvent ink, siser color print easy viny (got mines from heat transfer warehouse). Also, clear transfer sheet for your vinyl and you can put this method on any material. You will need to have a cutting machine. I use my cameo since it cuts bigger than Cricut machine, your heat press. I hope I don’t forget anything, but these are your major.

    How are they after few washes?

  • @justcallmemom6771
    @justcallmemom6771 ปีที่แล้ว

    The ink that comes with this printer is already ecosolvent.😂

    • @calw8085
      @calw8085 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it’s not. When you use more glossy looking vinyl or with a semi gloss the ink will not stick. I used the Epson ink it comes with, it only sticks to limited types of vinyl. The easy color works from Siser that’s already precut, or the cheaper vinyl. Anything else, it washes right off. I’ve been looking up why and come to the conclusion it is the Epson ink. If you read the ink on their website it mentions nothing about being eco solvent. It’s just their inkjet ink in a bottle since the printer has a tank. 😂
