I’ll probably never pay $4000 for a guitar amplifier but this this just proves that Marshall needs to get with the times and offer more modern versions of the classic sounds we love if they want to justify charging what they do. Healthy competition is a good thing. Marshall needs to hire someone like Uwe. All that said Marshall still make my favorite amps in the world
I totally get your comment! And yes... the price is not mass-compatible. Totally respect that. I expect Marshall to come out with similar Products in 2025. Let's see what their Price-Tag will be...
@ solid point. I think for someone like Jon or a serious producer/guitarist this seems like an outstanding all arounder M style head. Yeah I agree those price tags aren’t gonna be pretty! Great work nonetheless, great to see support for boutique builders who love what they do.
Got my TWS Amp 3 years ago (one of the first ever made)... it never let me down, brilliant tone through all varieties... it's worth the money... every damn single penny! German engineering as it's best! Well done, Mario!
Really love the sounds you pull out of the Lulis, TWS really makes some great amps with inspiring sounds. Everyone seems to pull out something new and def 23:03 really loved
I checked out their website.(I do not need another amp.) their stuff looks to be really high-quality. If you don’t like the aesthetics, they will change it for you as well.(I am not buying another amp.) the thing I like the most is that you can have them design a custom amp just for you.(dammit, dammit, not another amp!) who wouldn’t wanna have an amp that’s high-quality designed just for them?
@tubeworkshop here’s a tricky one. My absolute favorite distortion comes from a plexi. It’s the bloom and the ability to clean up. I like running modulated effects. I know a plexi gets part of his character because it’s both the preamp and the power amp that create the distortion. Could you make something with two power amps? What I mean is utilizing your first stage amp for the distortion and then putting an effect loop around that into a clean power amp to keep the effects manageable.
@Vermonster23 like using a fryette ps1 to attenuate and effects with its post distortion integrated effects loop but it would be nice to have a TWS version built in
@ i’m looking for an amp that gives that bloom that you get when you die in with an old plexi. They interesting part would be how to make an effect loop that works properly. I am not an amp builder, but I imagine perhaps two power amp sections. The effect loop would have to bridge the first power section and go into the second one where it would then be mixed in to the first power amp. Perhaps that would give the bloom I’m talking about.
@@tubeworkshop The metal grill. Looks cheap/basic the way its cut. Looks like an oven or radiator or something with those straight lines. But thats just me
Definitely a marshall bite happening there, but with a modern twist! Great note articulation. I think german engineering its something that guitar world must be aware of.
Handmade hardwired in Germany, Nuff said. I have a Spawn Quickrod 100 watt Head, while it is said to be a Plexi on Steroids it does have a slightly different sound compared to my Marshall.
Killer tones, well defined. Did you use a gate or was there no hiss even with gainy tones? An amp you will quite surely never sell again I guess. It‘s great there are top notch builders like Mario who push quality as high as possible.
Cool demo bro. Thanks for bringing us brands that we may not know about. Ive certainly never heard of TubeWorkshop or Lulis either!!! Cheers from NZ 😎🎸🤘
Not ONCE through the ENTIRE demo did i think Marshall, what i did think of however was Engl and Diezel...so i have to conclude that you owned a bunch of Marshalls because of the social approval that comes from the brand not because you love the tone...this amp fits better with your style and the kinds of tones you tend to want imho though so you do you

You are disgustingly talented as a riff machine! The tones and riffage in this are off the charts
Thanks buddy, that means a lot!
That A/B!!
Yes it’s a one channel amp but we’ve built in a proper way to switch to a clean amp that you love. That’s wild and I love it.
The demo riff sounds like you’ve been listening to Leviathan era Mastodon, in a great way!
Yeah, that guitar and this amp definitely pulled some Mastodon vibes out of me :)
As someone who just went on a stroll down mastodon discography lane, definitely agree. I’ve written a mastodony riff or 3 myself - not mad atcha.
I can understand why you'd sell your Marshalls for this amp. The riffs and tones in the demo track were among the best I heard on your channel so far!
Thank you! This amp really inspired me!

Killer intro track man! And what a sick sounding amp!
I'm really liking the frequency of that mid knob.
Yeah! "Golden mids" as Uwe calls it!
Jap, that's pretty "unique"... but very cool!

This amp sounds phenomenal and I love the A/B switch really nice feature with a built in SD-1 super cool amp design. Great demo riff master Jon🤟🏻
Maaan the amp is good, but demo songs are something else! Just sat back and enjoyed listening, so cool.
Such an awesome amp!! And I can say that with first hand experience. You did that beast justice with great tones and awesome riffs!
Thanks my friend! Can't wait to see your video!
I can understand that. Unbelievable amps and sound quality from TWS. Have you tried the small wattage amps of them?
Simply wow.
Juicy and hairy tone, love this type of sound.
Crushing riffs man 🔥 love it!
The choice of the VP4 for your effects is the perfect choice, considering the ground the amp covers.
I've never listened to Mastodon, but for some reason, that band sprung to my mind when I heard the intro riff.
I am blown away bro

Gaaah, that legator is beautiful
I come for the riffs you come up with ngl 🎶
Need an Ep fron you, my man 💪
killer tones and tasty riffage here Jon 🤘 the amp's pretty good as well 😄 those mids are very nice
Thank you Paul!
That opening riff on the crunch rock demo had a lil For Those About Rock flavor. Love it.
Jon sounds great playing almost anything.
Yeah the tones are amazing but can we just talk about how 🔥 John's riffs are in this video?
Thanks so much!
Awesome!! Will there be captures of this in your shop?
Sorry Marshall! But we still love you... 😉
Thanks for this awesome video Jon!!!
With this at over 4k US dollars, I'll be sticking with my Marshalls a bit longer lol.
@TheTN24 yeah at $6136 Australian dollars makes a Mesa Boogie look cheap!😮
@@TmanUtube Hand built with the best components...that ain't cheap. But I get that doesn't fit everyone's budget....stellar amp though....

This amp sounds fantastic!
It's a great amp!
We need more high-gain amps from TWS!
Uuuuuh.... don't trigger me! 😆
That’s one badass amp
Some sick riffage too \m/
It's killer!
Someone upgraded his cameragame. Nice
Sounds fantastic!
It's an amazing amp!
Wow Jon ❤❤
The clean was impressive. I would like to hear it solely from the guitar, amp, and cab,----- no IRs and no effects.
There's a whole dedicated section on that later in the video....
I saw that but it had reverb & delay.
@ralphpezda6523 no, no effects and all through my ENGL cab
Sounds great; probably your best sounding vid. The amp is lacking in the looks department tho
Thanks! I think it looks killer tbh!
What would you change in terms of "looks"?
Would honestly be interested to hear your take on that...

Dam that thing is nasty, in a good way
Yeah, totally wild!
"it's not super cheap" It's 4 fucking thousand dollars lmao...
nice playing. But playing a guitar that looks like a Gibson, through an amp that sounds like a Marshall...It sounds great though.
I'm kinda getting tired of a quality head being $3,000+. That's just crazy.
"keeping all the Marshalls" probably would have been the cheaper option. Yikes.
