That's awesome longplay, I enjoyed it a lot! If you don't mind, could you please tell me, if spells' power depends on the race of a hero? Or only on the parameter of magic power?
Thanks! I believe spell effectiveness should only depend on spell power. Some hero types have inherent skills though, for example barbarian can move fastest on poor terrain. In HOMM2 there is a visible experience based skill system, for example barbarians start with pathfinding and wizards start with wisdom required for learning higher level spells.

I'm preparing series of articles about magic and skill system for one of HoMM fan societies, but unfortunately there is lack of information about the first two parts both in the Internet and in my own experience. Would you mind giving me any of your contacts, so we to speak more efficiently?

Really cool. I liked this gameplay a lot. Couldn´t beat the last mission and still can´t. Everytime I try it they already attack me in the second week with masses of gargoyls. Like seriously. They have in wekk about 100 gargolyes and 40 wolves. And this everytime. Can´t even build an army which can beat them in this short time
