      Same like yours, water from the tap, put it in my bucket, put dechlorinator then run a water pump to mix the water

    This was amazing thank you so much!! I'm 7 months into a high risk pregnancy but choose to never compromise my passion, but absolutely needed a better way to do water changes other than buckets and siphons (my fish rooms down some basement stairs and in a back room nearly 50' away from the nearest sink lol).

    I use one for add water to all my tanks, I don’t have auto drain or fill, so a day before I do my water change, I fill a 55 gallon plastic barrel, treat the water and it has a heater in it, after I siphon the water out of the tanks, I fill all the tanks with the treated water in the barrel, and a pump and hose like yours.

    I ran a this same set up just with a larger pump before i had my auto water change system. Works great! I like that you down sized it as this is a great budget option for a lot of people.

      If I was using it for my 75 gallon, I'd buy a bigger pump. I would possibly even buy bigger for a 10 gallon, but this is perfect for the tiny tanks haha

    First off love your videos.
    I just recently started doing this with my 75g. I got a 400gph pump to drain to my utility sink. To reverse, I put a bucket in the utility sink with the pump in it and refill the tank from that. It has been a life saver. Before that I was only doing like 10 to 15g water changes at a time with the traditional bucket carrying method. Now, I can change the water for my flowerhorns mich easier and more frequently. All for about $30.

    My dad found one of those small ones from goodwil, wasn't sure if it would work for this but I am sooo gonna try this next time. I have a 20 gal and do about 5 gal water changes. drain with a syphon but filling and add all the minerals and conditioner and then use an old milk jug from the 5 gal bucket into the tank until I can left the bucket

    I use a Rio 2100 series pump that pumps 725gph on my 210 with a 40 gallon sump, but only after I do my sand vacuum with a Python. I try not to waste too much water, and I can get it done soooo much quicker. Great job with this video 👍.

    Question if water is horrible from the tap (has ammonia and nitrites before use water conditioner and quick start takes a while for it go away) and have keep water in buckets do serious need get muscles in pour water into the 40 gallon aquarium 🤣. Is there another way get water in there?

    • @GeneLaurentBNale
      @GeneLaurentBNale 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use water pumps like he did, im sure the bacteria in the aquarium will consume the ammonia and nitrites, also make sure to add 1ml of quickstart to replace bacteria
