"The Internationale" or "L'Internationale" or "Интернационал" was composed by Pierre De Geyter with lyrics from Eugène Pottier. It has been a standard of the left leaning movements since the late nineteenth century, when the Second International adopted it as its official anthem. It was also the first national anthem of USSR. The lyrics have been translated to many languages.
