Hope you all are having an amazing Thanksgiving with your families! I wanted to post one comment to address ALL the comments. First of all, we love and appreciate all of you. Thank you for caring so much for our family. There were a lot of comments regarding parenting and I wanted to address a few things.
We make mistakes and it’s from those mistakes that we grow. This is not a “how to” parenting channel. We have never raised children before lol As much as we appreciate your comments and concerns, there were FEW of you who genuinely come from a place wanting to help…and the rest, well, just seem hurtful. Guys we get it. There are things that you would do differently when it comes to parenting. I GUARANTEE you that there are things in each of your lives that Alexa and I would not agree with. But, if our comments and suggestions don’t come from a loving place, then they shouldn’t be said at all. Before I hit send on any emails, texts, posts or comments I always ask myself “will this HURT or HELP someone”. Just because we post a portion of our lives online does not mean that we are an open firing range for criticism. I could edit these vlogs so that we seem like the “perfect family” with no issues what’s soever… but then what’s the truth in that?
At the end of the day, our goal with this channel is to encourage and inspire. We are going to make wrong decisions and sharing them is just part of the journey. I mean are we not supposed to be doing life TOGETHER?
The PenaVega’s are MESSY. Trust me. There is nothing “perfect” about the way we do life. And if the things we post on this channel offend you, we are sincerely sorry. It is never our intention to upset or “irk” anyone. We love Jesus, We love people and we are not ashamed of being BOLD in our messiness.

Im a step mom to 3 kids who are 8, 6 and three and let me tell you that is hard work I sometimes don't know what im doing I leave my boyfriend who is the dad up to the disciplining and I do everything else to help take care of them so I know how it is guys you're not alone and you're doing fine I love you guys God bless

I know it is a lot to put yourself out there like you guys do on a weekly basis and it often goes without being said -- but you guys do so much for your fans. Don't let Ocean fool you. He knows exactly what he's doing, hence the fact that he immediately stopped making that noise when Alexa said the word "timeout" and started taking him out of his seat. If you notice, he started making the noise again once it looked like he wasn't going to time out. Be consistent and you'll see a change in his behaviors. Parenting isn't easy but you guys are doing great!

Great Job guys. Easy for everyone to judge others and their parenting skills. I’m a mom of 2 myself and it’s TOUGH! I told myself I wouldn’t judge other parents because I know kids can be tough and am only focusing on my children’s upbringing. With Gods grace we’re making it. You can too! I know this video is old lol but I’m barely watching it.
You guys should always be on the same page. If Lex is giving him a time out, support her, don’t just contradict her. Ocean should know you are both a team, that way he can’t pin you against each other in the future 😉

You guys are great parents thing is Carlos when disciplining ocean maybe not distracting him with toys while having a straight sit down would be best. Not judging tho. Discipline can be tough I get it but don’t be afraid to say no. Start young trust they will thank you in the future for it.

Carlos I’m sorry but you interrupting Lex when she’s about to take him to time out after being told not to do something is one of the worst things you can do. You’re under minding her authority in that moment. You have to stay a team. So when one parent gives a punishment (even if you don’t agree in the moment... wait and tell her in private) We learned it the hard way. Our son learned he didn’t have to listen to mom because dad would say well it’s okay if you say sorry. He started acting out really really bad. So come up with a plan! one where you STAY CONSISTENT. So he doesn’t start playing you against eachother. And lol he knows exactly what he’s doing. And the testing and not listen is gonna get 1000% worst. We learned it the hard way, and had to get a counselor to help teach us what we were doing Wrong. United unit los!

I haven’t seen a Pena fam vid in a while so At first when they were talking to ocean i thought that’s how he was and like the only word he knew was that noise but then i seen when Alexa said time out he immediately snapped out of it. Hey everyone... I know we are all entitled to our own opinions but please be kind. Let's lift one another up instead of tearing them down as that will get to nowhere. How are we all supposed to learn & grow if everyone is tearing down Lex and Los in the comments? Let's be respectful, kind, and encouraging. Nobody is perfect and we shouldn't judge how they choose to discipline their children based on what we see for a minute. Just wanted to say that and get it off my chest. Thank you :)

I love watching your videos Lex and Los! I’ve been watching ever since Ocean said “DaDa” for the first time and now Kingston has the same baby rolls Ocean did. Your little chunky monkies are sooo cute. I still go back and watch your old videos from time to time. I really liked this video especially because we got to see some of the real real that families go through all the time. We all aren’t perfect but I’d like to see more of those real moments in your family. I know this channel is basically you’re own TV show so it should have the good, the bad, and the ugly (so to speak) because that’s how life is. Please don’t listen to the negative things people say. My younger brother got way too much screen time and had a similar attitude and it's my dads 4th child so don't beat yourself up too much. And My little bro is 20 years younger than me, so parenting is definetely a learning curve.

Los, I’m sorry I know you are trying to do your best but if Lex is disciplining and going to put him in timeout please don’t jump in. I know you are a team but she is the one implementing the lesson and discipline so it has to be her decision to not do it then! It’s the only way Ocean will ever learn. If he can say no time out he understands why he is in time out and he will argue and scream every time if you immediately say ‘it’s ok just say sorry.’ As a preschool educator I can not stress how much easier it will be in time if you implement discipline now!! Our rule in work is we are all a team working for the child’s greater good BUT if one person is dealing with an implement everyone else steps back and only intervenes if that person needs help. Doing so will help Ocean learn to respect his mother and women because currently he’s seeing that Lex has no authority over you. I’m saying this out of love but I can 1000% see you are doing what you think is best. Ocean is learning to communicate and it’s something that is harder for him and having you both in his face asking him to “perform” when he’s unsure how to say this things will stress him out, so threatening time out is going to stop him communicating. If you want him to say something just say the word 3 items and if he doesn’t say it, move on. Don’t ask him to “say ......” as he feels forced! Hope this helps! You guys are doing fab, but as I’ve studied and have first hand experience with these things (I work with SEN children) I just hope to help!
We don't even do time outs in our curriculum here in Niagara falls, Canada. We do time away. Which is all about redirection and time away from what they were currently doing. No, you can not continue to lay here as your behavior is not okay and you are becoming a risk to others around you but you can go over to the sensory area, the block area or something else to try again. These are kids and we expect them to handle their emotions wayyyy better than adults are expected to. I'm sure you can see ive already commented on this multiple times because I feel so strongly about that "performance" aspect. I can just feel the anxiety in this little boys soul every time they do this. It's basically every vlog :( I really do like this family and have always been a huge fan of Alexa. I really do hope that maybe they see this and consider that fact
Melinda Goslin yeah we try and avoid time out too! It depends on the behaviour policy of the school in the uk! I think they are great parents who are truly doing their best for their sons. I just wanted to offer some help because I know we only see a tiny fraction of their life but children need consistency and good consistency. I truly believe that discipline is another way to show love (if it is true discipline I.e correction of behaviour, rather than the adult taking frustration and anger out on the child) I would recommend them to consider each time what their reaction is teaching him in the long term. He will be upset if you discipline him, he is 2 years old that’s a normal reaction. He is trying to gain control over them. I’m not judging at all, I truly believe they are doing the best, just like every parent, but it’s not working for Ocean as an individual. It’s far from a failure on their part, it just highlights the importance of a child-centred approach. How they parent ocean may make Kingston thrive. Every child reacts differently but for Ocean I think some different tactics are required.
I grew up watching spy kids and big Time rush how did I not know you guys had a TH-cam channel like I knew about the marriage and kids just not the TH-cam channel 😅
