RSkPT Holding the wheel at 11 and 1 is pretty uncomfortable in my opinion. It's especially bad when you have to do an emergency maneuver and your arms are being strained out from being at the top to being... 45-60 degrees lower than where it was.
HarryzjEEE In the 1980s maybe. If you were in the most recent driver's education or even read any article on the correct driving position and ask any proper drivers, the correct position is 9 and 3. Look it up.
For everyone saying the old man is annoying, it's his responsibility to safeguard the Ferrari, because it's used solely for test drives. The driver is not the owner.
Watching this video brought me memories of me drivng the same F430 Spyder. I was doing 180 km/h in a 80 zone, and the instructor yelled - "GO GO GO "" and we were doing 260
I think both are in the wrong here. Driver seems to have no concept of moderation. He either goes full throttle or at a snail's pace. The instructor should be more clear with his instructions (Telling him to overtake and at the same time slow down) and should really refrain from grabbing the wheel. All in all it was awkward to watch.
He's telling him to slow down while overtaking because there's no need to absolutely throttle it. If I were a test drive supervisor of any vehicle whether it'd be a shitty old used car or a brand new supercar, I'd tell him the same.
FAST FAST COMMON LETS GO......millisecond later......"SLOW DOWN, TO FAST, TO AGGRESSIVE"....honestly, for the language barrier and the professional bi-polar ferrari driving instructor, I think the kid did ok.
The instructor is really good! I think the problem was the language barrier! Try to find a video with Italian driver and u ll change totally ur mind about instructor
At first i thought the "instructor" was too boring, but then i realized how stupid the driver is and so we can see that the "instructor" is right to act like that...
This is such an annoying video to watch. Passenger is telling him to floor it at the complete wrong time and then grabbing the steering wheel for some unknown reason. Fucking hell!
he (the passenger) told the guy to floor it right before a corner and you could see he was about to lose control. Allthough i'm not sure what's more dangerous... Grabbing the wheel or letting him take control.
vasy ometita And he's terrible. Why the hell would he even need an instructor? Learning to drive in an F430? It will be some press event or rental or promotional thing.
I'm 2 minutes into this & I'm cracking up! The miscommunication between these two is like a comedy sketch!!!🤣 "Slow down" "Yes, I down shift" (& bury my foot to the fuckin' floor....!! 😄👍🏻🤙💪🏻
I’ve rented from this place and for all the hand placement comments, they make you drive with that instructor as well as making you put your hands in that position
is that his first time driving because he is very bad. he floored it whenever the guy said to even on a corner he carried on flooring it and changing up, he has no common sense or own initiative
This is painful to watch, I think the driver is ok even thought people are saying he's bad.. I think really the "instructor" as everyone calls him ( not an instructor ) he is just the person taking him on the test drive. He is being a back seat driver telling him how to drive they seem to speak two different languages and here is a perfect example of misunderstanding. But the made it out alive and you can see the grins the driver is trying to hide for some reason :P
The car salesman knows those roads like the back of his hands. He is trying to let the potential customer test the car's limits as much as possible while also avoiding an accident. It's a tricky thing and it's hard to trust some kid overtaking big trucks with other big trucks coming the other way around a bend. The salesman does nothing wrong imo, just looking out for both of them. The driver is a bit too eager to go fast and overtake without really knowing those relatively busy roads, which is a recipe for disaster.
mario pan I think it was a paid test drive (joy drive), that everyone can sign up for, if they pay the money, not the type you are talking about... and I dont think hes a salesman either.
OMG! His driving makes me crazy. My palms are sweaty because he seems to be totaly insecure and still kicking it. Props to the co-pilot. I would have kicked that driver out of the car. The highway access was crazy! Thought he would spin the car.
Okay guys, a.) he is probably driving a Ferrari for the first time (everyone has to start somewhere - you can't just start using a Ferrari and automatically have lots of experience) b.) he doesn't speak English very well so he is finding it hard to understand the instructor c.) he is holding his hands on the wheel that way because that's how you do it when doing driving lessons - meaning he is probably a new driver d.) he is being recorded!! That's another reason why he is is nervous - he may not like being recorded... Just take these four things into consideration, and don't be so judgmental about him - this video is meant for entertainment.
A)One does not start driving on a ferrari, specialy when he is only learning to drive and the guy next to him had to steer the wheel B) i think he understod everything he was only a doubtful driver as somone with lack of experience C) as a learner it is wrong to keep the hand on top of the steering wheel. Neither I think that the ''instructor'' was very smart
A little too much as a car for such a young driver lacking experience and driving a Ferrari like it is a toy or a video game... What kind of dumb ass parents he must have... A super car is a killing device in the hands of stupids.
I love how the driver remained all calm and shit... If I were him, I would've turned around back to the base and demanded another guide the first time he told me to downshift.
hey mate thats nice video...im goin to maranello in a couple weeks time and i would like to know did u pre-book the car and time slots?? and also do u require an international license to drive them? pls let me know... much appreciated!! thanks :)
as annoying as the co pilot is, the kid would have crashed without him. just look at the time where he drifts etc. he can barely keep the car on the road
The guy is nervous, the instructor wants to drive for him and the guy doesn't understand english very well. Oh my God, what a terrible ocasion to test driver a Ferrari.
This kid drove dangerously in some situations, but his overall driving was good. You will never totally understand the car's power and limitations until you're behind the wheel. When you see how fast this car is going in the third person, you imagine that the car has brakes similar to those in your car, but in actuality these brakes will stop on a dime. Just like if you let someone drive your car, you get nervous and assume they will crash because you have no control over the car.
driving in the streets is similiar to that , you have to be constantly shifting and changing your speed, sometimes is impossible to be consistent or you have an accident
Most of this isn't the driver's fault. He's trusting the instructor but the instructor keeps telling him to do stupid dangerous shit and then snapping at him when he does it. No idea how he got this job. At 1:32 he told him to downshift when he wanted him to slow down, and gets mad at him at 1:37. And for some reason he kept grabbing the fucking wheel. I'd have turned the car around and driven right back before that asshole got me killed.
This guy does not deserve to even be thinking about buying (or having his wealthy parents pay for) a Ferrari. Give him a Prius so he can't kill everybody else on the road.
This is why I think these supercars belong to the racetracks. or if you are going to sell them for the road, AT LEAST put them on the hands of an experienced driver, not a punkass kido who wants to push it on a public road. If you want to get on the throttle, get your ass to Fiorano, or even Imola is pretty close to Maranello too.
owneddiagonal Ok , 17 ? Not much more difference considering he is driving a almost 500 hp car endangering him and people around , student drivers need practise in normal cars , my opinion
If i sit on right seat, i stop the car and finish test drive. The boy is too agressive and acting like a stupit. He says slow down he is down shifting and going on to accelarate.
If you can't hold a steering wheel, look while reversing, or stay in your fucking lane, you shouldn't be allowed a licence, let alone a test drive of a supercar. Ferrari must be really desperate for sales. And if that instructor tried that hand-holding shit with me, I'd park it and tell him to shove his car and his hand-holding hand up his ass.
I hv driven older ferrari but im telling u, driving a supercar is like taming a beast. Its always want to go and always want to go wild. Small mishandling gets a lot harder to recover compare to normal cars.
these cars are actually very loud in side the car but brings you alive that's for sure turn that lil red button up on the button up right of the steering wheel and live life
lol @ all the steering wheel experts here....when your driving for the first time a 250k car you tend not to hold the steering wheel the same way your normally do. Its sort of like being on a roller coaster holding your restraints. You don't hold your seat belt when your in a car do you?
This is the most stressful drive I've seen
this guy doesn't even know how to hold a steering wheel
So what is the right way to hold the steering wheel? tell me
RSkPT
You hold it at 9 and 3 (o clock when you look at a clock). Your hands are evenly placed and you get more control over the wheel.
Ah yeah just like i do nice , this guy have the hands a little more up like he have the hands in 11 and 1 ahaha
RSkPT
Holding the wheel at 11 and 1 is pretty uncomfortable in my opinion. It's especially bad when you have to do an emergency maneuver and your arms are being strained out from being at the top to being... 45-60 degrees lower than where it was.

a critical question: HOW MUCH for renting the Ferrari for a quarter of hour?
or was it for free?
Which rental company was this with?
A test drive with dad
This was so annoying to watch.Just wasted 11 minutes.
pure fun! thanks for uploading it!
not young people, it's just that dude man. just look at the way he holds the steering wheel when driving with paddle shifters
the kid shouldn't be driving if he holds a steering wheel like that or has the other guy grabbing the wheel.
EEEEXACTLY. THIS WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT !!!
Lol the kid driving has to be told when to downshift xD don't think he even has a license
Yeah this kid was a maniac. He barely listened and was going full trottle every chance he got. He nearly crashed.
what the hell is that steering wheel stance called?
10:10
hahahahahahaahahah sure the woman omg its to funny
This passenger is annoying me haha
So, the downshifting is to get a higher rpm so u can accelerate faster if i'm correct?
And after 10 years i cam confirm that

The guy in the passenger's seat is Luca! He's a factory test driver for Ferrari and was with me when I drove a 430 Scuderia. Nice guy
I'm amazed he's still alive. Grabbing the wheel whilst a novice who shouldn't have ever been allowed in such a car... Luca's clearly an idiot

I think the driver would be doing a lot better if he didnt have the other guy grabbing the wheel and telling him when to overtake. awkward as hell.
