My favourite song by them has to be "Bridge over Troubled Water" even if only Art Garfunkel is involved... Particularly that performance at The Concert in Central Park
You have to check out the Boxer and Bridge over troubled water from this same concert. Garfunkel gives the last part of bridge offer troubled water his all and it sounds amazing. I love how their voices have aged.
My favorite S & G song is whichever one I'm listening to at the moment! Since you mentioned classic rock, I'll just mention that my favorite live performance is Journey doing "Don't Stop Believing", The Escape Tour, Houston, 1981.
Even at 68 ,there, they were great. This year 2024, this month, October, Paul turns 83 & next month, November, Art turns 83 years old. Art in November has a new album with his son. Garfunkel & Garfunkel. His son has inherited Art's beautiful tenor voice.
Thanks for reacting to the great Simon & Garfunkel. Don't forget about the great Bob Dylan, specifically, "Tangled Up In Blue," or The Band's iconic song, "The Weight." React to the original version on their first record, "Music From Big Pink." There's a later version featured in the film, The Last Waltz, where they play the song along with the Staple Singers. As wonderful as that version is, I prefer The Band's original version.
The best Simon & Garf songs (besides this classic) are "Bridge Over Troubled Water' and 'The Boxer'. Both better when performed live in Central Park (1981?) or eariier before they split.
To hear where they came from, listen to The Everly Brothers from the 1950s and early 1960s. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is probably one of the five greatest pop/rock songs of all-time. Paul Simon has come close to it many times, but will never match it.
Paul Simon singing this at ground zero is the best version of this song. Im pretty sure you cant react to it because nobody has. Just listen to it on your own time.
Reaction videos have their place but if the only reaction is "that's so good," you need to ask yourself if you're doing it well. No hate here. Just constructive observation.
The harmonies from Art Garfunkel were always what made their songs for me. "America" will always be my favorite Simon & Garfunkel song.
Every time you hear this song doesn't matter what day it is, it's so classic. The lyrics are sooo touching.
Yes 👏🏻
Art Garfunkels voice is so amazingly bright. Never heard any guy really replicate it.
This song is timeless!
Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel 😍😍😍 Childhood memories
I think “Bridge Over Troubled Water” is my favorite, although “The Boxer” is up there.
This concert sounds amazing and Bridge is a must from this set.
I absolutely love this song !! I love both versions this one and Disturbed version ! Take care and stay safe my friend!!

Bridge over T4roubled Waters.. Can't beat the vocals
That was beautiful 🥰 🤍🏴✌️
They were a bit younger when they did the concert in Central Park. Artie’s voice was a bit better then I reckon.
Garfunkel ha una voce stupenda
