How can someone answer a question like that? Though parents always have their favourites, even if it's subconsciously, Rumple went through Hell (almost literally for Gideon) for both his sons and it's telling that he was at his most evil in the series where Bae was dead and Gideon hadn't been conceived.

He would go to great lengths for his sons. You see what he did to his leg? It’s still fucked up because he didn’t want to die in the war and leave his son alone without a father. And for Gideon, he went to his childhood home and killed his own mother so his son wouldn’t have to have problems with her anymore
