Have it, love it. But for notes I mainly use Upnote, since it syncs across all my devices, including Windows PC and has all the possible options I might need. This is in fact a replacement for Evernote, which I used for over 10 years, but its subscription price has risen so dramatically in the last year it does not make sense for me any more.

@camp0017 Thanks for the comment! Upnote was a nice app. I'm trying to remember why I didn't stick with it. I think it was cause, at the time, I like Bear better. Seems like everyone has been moving off Evernote lately due to the price increase. Shame cause it used to be an awesome notes app

Excellent video Brandon! Thank you very much.
I have a question: the Tab Mini C has the option to convert handwriting notes in text like Remarkable 2 does?
Thanks a lot for taking time to asnwer!

@Daniel-dg2dt Thank you very much and thanks for watching! It does have this "AI" feature that will take your handwritten notes and convert them to text. Is that what you're referring to?

@@brandonontech thank you very much for your answer! I have a remarkable 2 and I saw your video to take the decision to keep with remarkable or change to the new Tab Mini C.
I don't knot the brand so much, do you know if this product is close to the update stage or can I buy it now with confidence?
Sorry for my basic english, I am spanish native speaker. Thanks once again! (Muchas gracias!)

@Daniel-dg2dt No problem! I think it's good to purchase this now but I'm not entirely sure of their release schedule. If it were an Apple product, I could definitely tell ya haha I have played around with the Remarkable 2 a bit and I think this is better.

Does Boox Tab Mini C have "speech to text" feature?

    • @brandonontech
      @brandonontech  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@gomesgomes884 Good question...it looks like it's missing that feature. Thanks for watching!

Yes, it has. Only for English and Chinese, but still the quality of speech recognition is rather good.

Would love to use text to speech too with the speakers. So when you get tired you can let it read for you with TTS?

@ariel_respira Good question. I would say yes. It does a good job of of ignoring my palm when I'm using it

    Did 64gb enough?

@isasamuri1061 Hi! It seemed to be working pretty good for me. I was keeping everything in Google Drive and OneNote so the internal storage wasn't taking much of a hit.

    DON'T BUY FROM BOOX
After 2 months of having my Mini Tab C the screen breaks. After talking to customer service they claimed there was some external force that caused it and it wouldn't be covered under warranty. This was in their case in a bookbag with other sensitive electronic none of which had an issue like this. They said I can pay another $270 to fix it. I think I'll just take the loss of $400 before it ends up being a loss of $670.

@ryandonaldson7369 Thanks for the feedback! Man, that totally sucks. Good information for anyone looking to pick up a Boox product!

Bro no one will replace you a broken device. Try HP and see if they will fix your broken screen, they wont at least not for free. Sorry that you are angry but a cracked screen is seldom something a manufactured will replace for free.

@alexb.8455 I'm just warning people. If you want it, that's your choice. I'm the kind of person who has had phones die of old age. I've literally NEVER cracked a screen. 3 kindles all pristine, an IPad, various tablets, and phones never cracked a screen. So, for this screen to fail, it had to be particularly weak, and in talks with customer service, they confirm as much. I honestly wish I would have gotten it from Amazon at least they offer insurance on it for 50 better to pay that then 3/4 the cost of the whole product
