I have the Phillips Norelco shown for about 2 years now. Comes with a pouch that stores all the attachments so they don't get lost, and are easy to bring with you for travel. Battery lasts forever, build is solid, and the choice of blades make it perfect for super detailed trimming, sharp lines and broad trimming. Conclusion, buy the Phillips.
Of course they recommend the trimmer I’m trying to replace. The wall ion is great but if you have a thicker course beard the attachment guards for 3 and up are ridiculously inconsistent and all the guards are flimsy and the clips easily break. Trying to find a trimmer for thicker beards where I don’t need 20 plus attachment guards
That's why I'm watching this. I can't find one that trims consistently. There's a Braun one on a different video they showed (same title but 2024). That looks to be the best one.
My Philips S3000 shaver0 just broke after 4,5 years of excellent work. But since I was already looking for a decent trimmer, well, why not combine...so I thought. Thank all you in the comments!! This vid is obviously thrash, and thrash I only like as music. Greetings from Netherland
The problem with braun and Phillips trimmers are not that they won’t last.. but their chargers will die after couple of months. And you won’t get a replacement no matter how hard you try. Both companies don’t even bother to reply to customer support emails asking where you will get these chargers! It’s high time these companies change to USB type C charging port!
I would like to add that Braun builds expensive one-way products now. If you loose the cable - buy a new one. They say they don´t sell charger separately and they changed connection port so can´t buy a standard one. If battery is defect- throw it away. You can´t replace battery. If battery is defect buy new one cause you can´t use with cable. (with my two year old Braun I can) "For security reasons" they lie. It´s all about short profit and extremely environment-hostile policy. They don't care about consumer satisfaction any more. It´s sad to say this as a German. So I will buy a Panasonic now.
Haven't decided yet. Considering for 30 dollars approx the phillips not necessarily the 7000 series. Need one designed for fine but tough beard. I have a chip beard it grows to 1mm overnight no complaints by the beard! Thanks its been awfully!😅
After watching your video gonna let my boyfriend pick his own beard trimmer 😊he's got presents he doesn't know about and this way he gets the trimmer he wants .. Thanks for sharing I didn't have a clue about which one to buy so your video has helped .
@@BobRoss-wm3lc He chose the Braun and I also got Remington for my Dad .. like I said I don't know much about beard trimmers . they were pleased with what they got and that made me one happy bunny😊..
I'm convinced that they haven't invented a trimmer that's good for "sculpting" beards, mustaches, side-burns and goatees yet. Maybe it's something we'll see way in the future
I have Remington and it is the best out there, you can adjust it up and down by 0.1 inches, I trim my full grown hair at 0.7 and it never misses, you can shower it under the faucet and it won’t get damaged, had it for about a year now, solid product
pretty strange that your number one pick had more negatives than some of the others, A lot of people use these trimmers to knock down a few days growth in order to use a shaver to get a close shave. The reason being your normal 5 blade shaver can't get through longer hair in a hurry and it tugs at your face and requires more than a few minutes to get a close shave. That is why many won't consider a "beard trimmer" that can't get down to small increments. For me at least the Wahl would be the first one I dismiss. Manufacturers are waking up that consumers just don't use a "beard trimmer" for beards >I would suggest the major use is for body hair and the preshave for a close shave. Why would I say that / Well the proof is in the pudding so to speak, with most men cleaned shave but letting things go for a while and the fad of trimming your "balls" or pubic hair which I used to do 25 years ago before these were invented.
@eric noack Lol that's what I left the store with! My previous was a Remington PG525 that last for almost 7 years until last week. Mostly trim my head without the guard, and use the guards on my beard. Figured it was best to stick with what's worked in the past!
Hello! I would like to buy a trimmer. What would you recommend? I would use it everywhere, on hair, beard, body hair (although it is not very strong) and nose. I've never had an electric razor before, how thorough is it compared to a razor? Up to 200-250 dollar ,euro Thank you!
Exactly. That was the issue with mine. Also the plastic tabs that hold the guide to the blade broke. Replaced with a cheaper Wahl and its basically useless. Not enough power to cut my beard unless imI leave it plugged in.
You lost me at number 2. The Philips Norelco is exactly the piece of trash trimmer I have to replace now because it stopped working weeks after I bought it 😡
If your piece of equipment breaks that fast, return it.....there's not much out there that cost more that 20$ that shouldn't last at least a year of regular use
They compare a weak und unknown with strong products/ brands and let it win. This test is just a commercial. Would take the Braun. Panasonic is also excellent.
Philips is crap. All their trimmers use a different power adapter! I have a body groomer and a beard trimmer, and I need to bring two adapters. Also they do not offer USB charge, I had to buy a set of adapters for when I travel. My series 3000 does not charge anymore after two years. Both series 3000 and 5000 don't have a simple led to display it's charging. For the price, they are junk.

That Phillips 7000 lasted me 7 months on a single charge. I lost the charger🤣
😂
Do you still use that one?
Wahl trimmer is really good for the price but the battery 🔋 has to be charged up to work it’s best but very well put together trimmer.

I hate carrying the charging units that come with these trimmers.
Why can't these trimmers and shavers come with Type C charging.
Philips 5000 cutter is a low cost trimmer, ive been through many, it's bang on the money! 👍🏼

what trimmer would you recommend? I want an electric trimmer that trims powerfully/fast so that i can shave using a manual shaver for a close shave
that confused me too, not sure which they really think is best...
Then which one would you suggest? I'm looking at Wahl color pro and braun 5 in 1. But the brauns lack of guards scares me lol don't wanna clip a nut
@@timflint25 I went with the Remington but I don't use the guard because it ain't necessary if your cutting at the lowest setting of.4
