Very interesting to see a US oriented take on a machine that is widespread and perennial over in England. The lack of power head is something I've always found a bit odd, as they made at least two over the years - a mains powered one (likely only ever for 250V systems) that drew from the PTO socket on older HVR200 models and, later, a lower voltage one on the HHR200. Perhaps some day they will produce another.
In any case, I too can attest to the longevity of the Henry machines, given my own unit turned 30 only a few weeks ago. Short of general maintenance over the years, nothing has ever really broken on him aside from wearing the original floor tool down to almost nothing through years of regular abuse. The slightly dorky look is definitely misleading, as it's a seriously capable and long lived machine when used properly.

Henry is a great vacuum. I got mine in 2016, it's actually a two speed one but it does use the current motor I think, the motor only uses 680 watts but it has performance similar to much higher power motors. I think big Henry and little Henry use the same motor and the same bags. I think big Henry might have a longer cord. The one area where Henry is lacking is that it doesn't provide any direct way to use an electric power nozzle. I think there is a version available from Nacecare that can use a power nozzle but not sure. It would be interesting to make a video showing Henry paired up with one of the battery power nozzles. If you want to clean wall to wall carpet, I would suggest getting a battery nozzle, not a turbo brush.

We have a few Numatic's here, consisting of a 1.2kW 2007 Hetty (when they were a limited special edition), a 2016? George and a two year old Henry Cordless (brought to clean the car as we have nowhere to park the car outside where we live).

Henry's are great, my nan's had 2. One in 2004 ( one of the first with a 2 speed motor) and one in 2016 which is single speed. She loved both of them. My mum has a 160 model she bought earlier this year and loves it.
You can't go wrong with them. They're reliable, powerful and suited to almost any job. Only thing I feel lets it down is it's shape and size, it can make it awkward in certain situations and storage solutions.

I was doing housekeeping and they had one of these Henry’s and it wasn’t working so well. It hardly picked up the carpet that nicely then I decided to watch a video on Henry and it’s no wonder they probably didn’t empty the poor guys filter in who knows how long? Maybe they never have. • @PerformanceReviews

The tapered hose doesn't affect the section. It affects air flow. In this case it increases Air flow.
