    I've finished my rack and stocked it with all my boards like you Keith i hate throwing things away so I've got an abundance of timbers, hinges, decent chunks of work tops it's amazing the amount of space the rack has freed up

    Hi Keith,its nice to see that you are getting organized,and although your storage rack didnt need much high tech joinery you still made a good job of it,I hope you can keep finding lot's of free material to keep it full,take care and stay happy

    Looks very useful. Noticed that the nailer split the wood sometimes though.

    Three videos in one day and three bottles of Old Rosie Cloudy Cider to drink. What a great way to spend a Friday evening. Keep up the good work Keith. 50000 subscribers is just around the corner. :-)

    A workshop project doesn't,t have to look good, just be functional...Nice simple build that does the job...

    I'm building the board storage frame for my ever shrinking garage basically for boards and skirting boxes of laminate flooring due to since retiring and not wanting to be idle i bought a house then sold it and bought another and so on consequently there's always bits left so I need more storage the heavy duty shelving is amazing and has made a massive difference hopefully the board frame will be equally as good brill

    Another great vid.. Framing nailer did split the ends of the wood but hey ho. Guess that just proves how powerful it is. Great wood stand though.. Those big sheets really are a pain to store as they are so large.. Nice one

    Great build. Simple and with reclaimed materials. I suppose the hinges and door pull we'll see somewhen in one of your next projects.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Nice build Keith, i have some of those Melamine Wardrobe Doors as well as the Sides, they come in handy for Cabinets for the Shed. At the moment all of my sheet goods are standing up next to each other off the floor, i could do with a smaller version of yours.
    Well Done.

    I can't stress the importance of storing this correctly, I had 11 sheets of MFC chipboard pin me into a gap 6 inches too narrow for my frame, my shoulders and ribs lost the battle but I lived to tell the tale 👍🏻

    It looks like if you turned your sheet materials around you'd be able to stand full 8x4 sheets the tall way, going in-between the joists.

    Does the wood splitting affect the strength?

    • @RagnBoneBrown
      @RagnBoneBrown  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the wood grain but usually yes! The glue will be more than enough to hold it together though

    Good build my friend, it’s a nice feeling when you can sort and save space with the larger wood pieces. Well done... just one note, was it down to nail size that split the wood at the ends or something else??

    • @RagnBoneBrown
      @RagnBoneBrown  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably user error, I’m pretty inexperienced with it and maybe too close to the ends!

    Yeah, when I switched over from construction type jobs to more shop oriented work my 16P nailer has done nothing but gather dust. Occasionally I pull it out to chase off the neighbors kids, just hold back the plunger and let er rip!
