You definitely covered most important factors very well. But how about the actual print quality?? Visually? How do printings of the same document look among the three you compare here??
I’ve had both the Canon Megatank and the Brother EcoTank. The ecotank clogged so bad I couldn’t unclog it because I didn’t use it often. The Megatank handles a lot better if you don’t use it often
The main problem with tank printers are the ink absorber pads get filled eventually resulting in lines down the page. Canons newest megatank models now have replaceable maintenance cartridges so you can swap out the sponge and avoid the paper smudges
Hello, instead of tank printers, which do you recommend? I’m new with this and would like a printer that can print at least 11x17 at a great quality Thanks so much
For those, who is up to buy Canon Megatank. The cartridge Canon started to use instead of ink absorber is called MC-G02 . Printers: G2160 G3160 G1220 G2260 G3260 G1420 G1920 G1922 G2920
Homeschooling mom of 5. Ecotank is the best IMO. I print endlessly and have saved so much money. Replacing the maintenance box is cheap and the thing keeps on trucking.
I have epson l360 since 2017 still running have replace the "on" switch , power supply and rubber my system is still running till now 2023 i print a lot for my business.
We had two Epson tank printers and had to return them after two years because of poor printing quality. Just got an HP tank printer and so far the printing quality for pictures is GREAT.Hope it lasts!
Just bought an Epson EcoTank (2803) and it cannot handle cardstock consistently even with the Thick Paper option selected in the extended settings. It inconsistently grabs the paper and sometimes the printing goes off of the page because it didn't pull the paper in far enough. We already had a G3200 which has never had an issue pulling in the cardstock. I'll be returning this Epson and recommend the Canon Megatank models.
hi, can you tell me what cannon mega tank model did you buy for your cardstock printing.. also, are you having any issues with it yet ? because, i do alot of craft projects with cardstock and im having a hard time trying to decide on a smart tank printer..thanks
@@snoppy1038 I have two Canon G6020 model printers. Had one (after just under two years) with a broken manual paper feeder clip but Canon replaced the whole printer when I called them.
Once the initial over view is complete - the Epson line seems the best. Then you do research and find out there are issues with each brand. Epson: - there have been numerous reports of color balance problems ( pink overtones ) right out of the box - the ink absorbing pad when full locks up the printer - has this been solved with the new models ? - if the print heads clog and don't respond to a "cleaning kit maintenance" , the head replacement is very expensive - some complaints that colors were not vivid - seemed faded Canon: - there are many reports of air leaking into the ink supply tubes causing missing colors if you don't use the printer enough - earlier models had a ink aborb pad when full would lockup printer - newer models have a user changeable pad - lack of a full lit screen makes color adjustments tedious HP - I'm not familiar with them but they seem lacking features and their support has a poor reputation
Your videos are really priceless Brandon! It is because of you that I went out and purchased the Epson ET-3710 EcoTank printer and I love it!! Have never really had any problems with it and will never go back to ink cartridge printers again!!! Your videos are so invaluable when it comes to purchasing and using printers that I'm really surprised you don't have more subscribers!!! 👍😁
I have had two canon printers both of which I was glad to see go away. Both were troublesome to use. Always a reason they could not print. I just threw out my $400 three year old eco tank canon as the pads were full and the printer cannot be fixed. I will never buy another canon product ever. Junk!
What do you mean about the manufacture recommended monthly Volume of pages? What do you mean the manufacture knows if I go over the recommended volume of pages? Do you mean they know there will be problems because of the nature of the printer or that the manufacturers are creepers and they keep track of how much I print and will cause my printer problems if I happen to go over that amount? Thank you so much for your video and your help.
Its like an Espresso machine for the home kitchen, no one would buy one of those to try and start a coffee shop, it would not hold up, likewise, don't buy one of these to try and use with a book printing shop or in a commercial setting.
Good idea but then you'll eventually have ink literally dripping into your printer. Even closing off the tubing will result in dried ink in feed tubes :(. Air is always a problem.
Love your video - best information. I am going to replace my HP OLD printer with an Epson ET whatever. I need the ability to resize - make larger - from the program on the touch screen on the printer. My HP had envy had this capability. Which Epson ET do you recommend for this? I print black and white for classes I teach, BUT I also paint, so I take lots of photos that I print in color as references for my paintings.
would be nice to have a review about all these pads that need to replaced. All of these tanks from Epson/Canon or HP needs their pads replaced in some way or another and its not the issue to replace them, the issue is you cannot reset the code on most of them and the printer becomes useless. Its a direct hit to the customer to throw away printer that can still be used. so yes you are saving on ink but in the end throwing away an expensive printer due to pads or using some sketchy software's to reset the new installed pads.
indeed. that is why i will never buy an epson printer ever. Currently shopping for new printer. Discovered that canon printers will also have this error. *BUT* you don't need some sketchy software to reset it. Its a few key combinations to get printer to maintenance mode and reset the waste counter (search on youtube). Something that should be a included in the manual and not hidden to users. Well newer series Gx040 have the capability to buy these pads (maintenance cart). So canon seems to be improving its ways.
@@alfblack2 I’ve been told by another TH-camr printer expert (Kevin BCH) that it’s not possible to reset the newest Canon G-series absorber pad count using the button combo. I asked specifically about the G3260. If true, that stinks.
What I wish you would cover is the "ink absorber pad" problem in all of these printers. I have the 6020 Canon and had a previous Canon Megatank. I'm okay SO FAR on the 6020 Canon but I had to throw out the previous Canon Megatank because the ink absorber pad was full and even though you can add new pad material Canon will not give the user the reset code. I believe that is similar with the other two you reviewed. Love the 6020. I put card stock in the back and plain paper in the cassette. Does a great job but I fear that someday that ink absorber pad will be full and it will stop me for using this excellent printer. Why can't the manufacturers fix that sell the user an easy to insert pad and give the user the reset code?
Because of this canon released a new lineup. New canon pixma mega tank released since year 2020 such as g3260 and other pixma printer that have the identical body style have easy insert pad and no codes/reset needed, canon call it maintenance cartridge.
My Canon printer locked up with a 5B00 code last week. Apparently, there's an unressetable print counter in the hardware. Canon support offered me a 10% discount on a new one, but I'd just spent $50 on unusable cartridges and I'm bitter, so no dice. I ordered an Epson EcoTank, but right now it's bobbing offshore on a container ship somewhere, but I hope the local Best Buy will be getting their delivery sometime soon..
Hi there. I would like to have your opinion. I'm not sure which printer to buy; so can you tell me which printer from this two is better ( quality, performance, print etc.) Epson ecotank 3266 or Hp smart tank 725. Thank you.
How about Epson ET 1810 model if I'm ok with missing scanner and copier, the quality and life of the model is what I'm concerned about. Also would like to know if it will be ok to use it for cards of approx. 280 gsm papers as the paper tray in not supportive.
Lot of people do reviews, I did like the way you did your review on the hp, Epson & Canon printers on this stream. Good points to compare, did not overdue any bias you would have on which products you like better, yet still gave us your recommendation based on your experiences. I'm kind of a particular type of person so I thought you did a good job. Thanks.
Although most factors are covered here, arguably the most important one is missing. Does the machine actually work well and if not what does the company do about it in terms of their warranties? I have used printers attached to computers for about forty years, always (until recently) Canon or Epson. All have eventually died simply through old age. Never had any problems, never had any complaints other than the cost of cartridges. Then I purchased an HP tank machine and from the time it was first hooked up to the computer it has NEVER worked correctly. It has been into two different HP service centres who have both carried out repairs without charge under the warrantee. However the machine still doesn't work properly and on requesting a replacement machine I was refused. One service centre (Bangkok) stated that I could not get a replacement machine simply because the machine obviously had too much use! Yet the last service centre (Chiang Mai) has said, in writing, that the machine has, in fact, had little use. Judging by my experience there is only one thing to say: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY HP.
Not buying HP is good advice across the board. They are anti right-to-repair as evidenced by their ridiculous costs for replacement parts - if they're even available and overall quality really isn't there. I've had consistent problems with laptops from them and most recently, a god-awful wi-fi printer that works when I'm lucky and no other time. I genuinely win on the lottery more frequently than my printers works the moment I turn it on.
Would like someone to discuss user serviceability. Things such as Waste Pad, Maintenance cartridges, print head replacement, as well as longterm parts availability, etc. Those are the real reasons for most inkjet failures.

Brandon, you clearly have a lot of experience and understanding about these tankless printers! Thank you for the great information. Your video is over a year and a half old so maybe your style has changed by now. I would recommend getting into the models quickly at the beginning of your video. I had to fast forward to get to the content that brought me to the video. I would also recommend a visual of the models, comparing the differences by actually showing them. Then showing them actually function and comparing the print quality side by side. I was disappointed to not see a print comparison. All the extra information about cleaning kits can be left for the end. Best wishes!
@@BestPrinters Agreed. My only issue is the cost of HP printers to compared to the other 2 brands and issues with their internal build quality. That's the only reason I put Canon above HP as #2.
I currently have an hp office jet 5200 all-in-one printer. I try to use remanufactured cartridges. Now I'm thinking of switching to an Ecotank printer. I checked out the hp instant ink subscription plan and since I use the HP Smart App it has statistics on how many pages I print monthly. I print about an average of 79 pages per month. HP Instant Ink will support 100 pages of either black and white or color printing for $4.99 a month or 300 pages for 9.99 a month. I'm wondering if I should just get the instant ink subscription or an ecotank printer. I found an ecotank 4800 printer for a great price.
Excellent video! Has your opinion changed since this comparison? Will you update to 2023 new ink tank printers? I am struggling to find a good overall All-In-One ink tank printer for home. I am just a casual user, hence easy to use, connectivity, cheap printing costs and double side printing are perhaps most important. I was actually interested in the Canon monochrome ink tank printer but it only prints and lacks scanning and copying. That would have been great for my needs
@@BestPrinters I actually found a very interesting alternative: Canon PIXMA GM4070. It's an All-In-One Monochrome ink tank printer. I think it could be perfect since in most cases I would only use black ink anyway. Have you ever tried it?
Thankyou for this great video. I usually dont watch you tube videos longer than 10 minites but i did with this one. Just the video i need. My country has a lot of shops selling printers but recently we have en Epson authorised dealer in with the ink supplies and technicians so im going for epson with the help of this video.
I have a hp 7525. Tried 2 clean the printer head with little results. Going 2 try again. Replacement heads have some good reviews and bad ones. Otherwise printer did work fine 4 my needs
I have searched the internet and EVERY SINGLE video is avoiding the # problem with these eco tanks, or refillable printers. I am on my 3rd tank printer, 2nd epson, next one I am trying will be the HP, but they all say the same thing. The auto feeders do NOT work reliably. Maybe 1 sheet every now and then, but 99% of the time glass only, unless you want a paper jam. WHY WHY WHY is noone talking about it. Do I review in that, and your video will SKYROCKET!!!!!!
Ink tank or refillable tank printers are great for high volume. For home use (where the volumes are under 20 pages or a dozen 4x6 photos per month) is the investment really worth the initial cost? I moved recently and need to replace 2 printers.... a general multi function and a wide bed photo printer. It would be "nice to have" a refillable tank (6 color) multifunction however, the initial cost would be outrageous for the amount of printing I would do, and the ink would outlast the life of the printer. The Epson ET‑8550 is $ 700 dollars while the cartridge XP-970 is $ 299. If I replace the full set of inks 2x per year that is $380 per year. It will take 2 years to brake even. I know tech keeps moving forward and who knows what printers will be like 2 or 3 years from know. If the Ink tank ET-8550 (or equivalent) were $200 less then I'd buy it now. Can't see why it costs so much except that Epson has to recoup the lost potential revenue from cartridge sales.
I have a HP 415 ink tank, it has started reporting that the black cartridge is not compatible with the printer, it means the print heads, I have not been able to source new print heads yet at a reasonable price, a colour and black print heads pack is 50% of the cost of new printer. I am going to HP service Center today but will probably end up buying a different printer or another cheaper HP that uses the same print heads
Reliability is probably the most important thing. Canon is known to have a purge count that can't be reset even when you clean the overflow sponge. Basically, it commits suicide. The problem is that the nozzles get clogged, and if you are a moderate user and you have to purge and clean them. Instead of having a purge tank, they have a sponge and a digital counter. After you clean a certain amount of time, your printer permanently shuts down. The HP's problem is that they own your printer, not you. They can shut down your printer for any stupid reason. I used to only use HP until they wouldn't let me use the scanner to scan papers into my computer because my black was low. I wasn't printing, I needed to scan and send documents to my lawyers but instead I had to go to FedEx and pay $24 to scan things in because they were trying to force me to buy ink. I have an Epson now, but I don't know about their ecotank. Sad, I have 3 dead printers sitting in my house - 2 HP and 1 Canon.
HELP - I've read so many reviews. I need a printer for work but also for excellent photos. Must have ADF scanner and be able to print from my phone. I usually get Canon (had bad experiences with 2 Epsons in the past). :Seems like no printer ever gets decent user reviews. I would like to try a tank ink printer. SUGGESTIONS?
We don't print very often anymore since my kids are grown up and left the house but I think it's a good idea to keep a printer handy for that occasional copy or print, is there a printer that you recommend that the print heads won't dry out and cause trouble, thanks for the information you did a great job explaining it
Some of the canon printers allow you to replace the print heads at a relatively low cost, meaning your whole printer is not rendered useless, and you can replace the heads should they get blocked
Hey Brandon, Q. Bought G6020 Canon, its only been a few months, for some reason started printing a line on the right side, would u have an email I can send a print out and maybe you can give me your input? 😢
Thank you Mr, for your input on the best Printers So I can make a great an inform Decession on the best Business Printer for me, Thank you so much and you be safe and well. Thank you.
Have the Epson xp830. Approx 2 yrs old. Ok for very beginning, but now have unpredictable 'blobs of black ink spurts on my pictures ( and sometimes my documents ). 45 min on telephone w/ Epson was a waste of time. She knew no more than I knew. Did the head cleaning 4 to 5 times in a row. This printer has very light use so what has went wrong??? Close to being trashed, and will not go with anyone who has lousy customer service.
Canon pixma recommends 150-1500 pages print per month. How do I know? Because all canon pixma ink tanks printer outside usa is advertised as such. Same canon printers different code names based on where you live.
Ink tank is a interest. Because ink cartridges have become very expensive and one wonders how full are the ink cartridges when purchase . Feel ink tank is more cost effective ! Am not sure research too many printers to chose from
My ET-2875 can print manual dobbelsides but the App Epson Smart Panel can only print a whole file, e.g. file is 100 pages but you only want 10 dobbeltsided . This is a software error, very easy to fix. But our local agent seems not able to communicate with Epson. What is wrong?
Just purchased a Epson mega tank. Loved the printer. Disappointed with the color. Colors were not as vivid. Colors were more on the pastel side. Does getting a better and more vivid color quality depend on which epson tank you buy?
Plenty of talk about the printers and their features, but you never said how good or bad the print quality is on them and to many of us that's an important point. FYI Epson make the best printers.
I have had HP desktops for years and loved them but the price of the ink has gotten totally crazy for me. Then my HPdesktop broke after many long years of service. things had changed so much since I bought that one, I need advice. I was afraid of changing from HP but your vidios have opened my mind and helpd me a great deal with my decision. Thanks.
Hello...I'm glad I can across your page. You are very knowledgeable about these printers. I have a Epson Echotank 2803. I've only had ot for 6 months. I converted it into a sublimation printer. Two of the colors stopped printing. I have been googling how to clean the printeeheads for this particular printer and I see none. I was wondering how to I get to the printerhead on this one. If you can help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Hi this video should help, th-cam.com/video/uN0_IhSLvvw/w-d-xo.html. The only difference with your model is you might have to remove some screw around the scanning bed, to get it to lift up.
I repair printers for a living. The Epson is just so much better, end of story. Try getting a print head for the HP or Canon ... just about impossible, Epson is no problem. The HP (like most HP products) is suffering from quality control problems and have been for years now. The Canon as you pointed out is a quick hash put together from a lower end printer using standard cartridges and quite simply the Canon heads wear out before your first bottle of ink is used up or the dreaded waste ink absorber is full warning, useless. Just buy the Epson ... :-)
Got the Epson ET-3760 from Costco and ended up returning the same day. Printing was ok. Was not happy with the ADF. Kept on jamming. I'm not sure if I got a bad product... just ran out of patience having that much failure rate ...have to return it. I came across also of other people having the same problems.... Please include ADF performance in future reviews.... Very helpful to have it.
I need help please. I bought the canon g6020 today but when I compare the black color with the epson ecotank are not the same dark. The canon g6020 print more dark gray/purple… 😭
I am struggling with which brand to buy. I really would like auto double sided printing. I will be using it for homeschooling but will print most things beginning of school year and every so often after that. Clogged print heads is making me fear get any tank printer. Should I fear that if I don't print often. Should I purposely print something in color and black once a month? What about a color laser printer, any input on any of those?
Adding to my comment. If it does not do auto double sided printing, is there a simple way to double side print without having to flip pages and reinsert?
Hi, for double sided printing and low printing costs for homeschooling I would recommend the Epson ET 3850. You can get even cheaper ink by using remanufactured ink. As for the printhead clogging most printers you buy bottle based or not have that flaw. But yes to avoid the clogging you will want to actually intentionally print every 1-2 weeks maximum. I hope this helps, congrats on homeschooling!
@@mainefamilyadventures8507 buying remanufactured ink just like this dude suggested will void your 2 year epson warranty so keep that in mind. I've messed up both an old epson photo printer and most recently a Canon 5600 series Pixma (lasted 3 months) using knockoff ink
Please review Brother DCP-T720DW. I am stuck between this and HP Smart Tank 651. I also did look up the Epson ET L5290. This is because I want their functionality, especially the ADF feature but I really don't use the Fax functionality, since I'm not gonna use it. I am also looking for the best value for money. I am concerned with the reliability of Brother ink tanks, and the durability of those physical buttons at Epson and Brother. I hope you could help me decide. For house and small business use. The functionality must include: Print, Scan, Copy, Wireless, ADF So, please do check the Brother DCP-T720DW. Or share some thoughts or ideas about this. Thank you!
Plus the Brother's automatic duplex printing is great. I really think that this one is for me, HOWEVER I am really concerned with its durability and reliability.
Hi Brandon! Very good job! I'm interested in Epson EcoTank ET-3850 but I'm a little bit concerned about printheads clogging after a log period of inactivity. In HP Smart Tank 7000 series at least you can change them but I'm not sure if you can change too waste ink absorber. What do you think of?
So why do you not include which printer has a removable waste ink container or absorber pads As all ink jet dump ink which eventually results in the printer stopping.
I bought a tank epson ET 2650 it print good but it keeps jamming until finally won't work anymore and tells me to remove the paper jam whilst there's no paper in the printer at all
Hello Brandon. You seem like a very nice person and a good communicator. I've been watching this video for 10+ minutes. Problem, from my perspective, is that you have covered a lot of material but not a single mention about the absolute most important consideration when shopping for a printer. How do these printers compare when printing a full color, full contrast photographic print on photo quality paper? For me, and I'm sure for many people, statistics like ink consumption, wireless capability, use with a smart phone are only important if the printer can print a high quality photographic print. I do understand that there can can be some differences of opinion about the visual quality of the print, but things like color fidelity, banding, saturated blacks, saturated colors, overall contrast range, color shifts, streaks, etc. are fairly easy to comment on. I wish you well going forward. Maybe you comment on these things later in the video, but I think this needs to be addressed FIRST, not at the end as an afterthought.
Hi Dennis, I am coming out with an updated video on this topic. In my experience all these printers have a standard photo print quality. I say that after reviewing countless printers in each category. Any brand you go with ( so long as you use the correct photo printing settings) will have great photo quality.
I like the videos and I will keep watching. I would like to know more about the all-in-one's and MFC and which ones have the best Built-in OCR software Technology. I really don't want to buy a separate scanner or OCR software If I can get it pre-installed. Thank you keep making those videos.
Great video. Looking for a printer that would be great for home printing. We probably don't print the number that the printer recommends a month. We probably don't print 10 to 20 pages a month. Ink dries up before it is all used. Do you think this type of printer we could only fill when we need to print, not letting ink set for months not being used? Any information would greatly be appreciated.
I don’t think it’s the ink that dries out, but the ink cartridges on traditional inkjet. So I don’t think drying out of ink is so much of a problem with such tank-printers. (I THINK, I’m no expert.)
The most important point you told in the last. HP & Canon ink tank printers are just made with old technology. They just added a tank and a hose pipe to a regular cartridge. The print head in those aren't long lasting. The time you'll print 6000 pages with them, you'll end up wearing out the print head and you'll have to spend amount equal to printer cartridges to replace them. On the other hand Epson have totally different design printhead that is not just like adding ink pipes on cartridges. The print head of Epson is way large, heavy duty and long lasting than those Hp & Canon. Yes replacing those is costly but still it lasts longer and pays you well in long run.
My problem is constant updates. I HATE Epson. I don't print every day but every time I print it tells me I have to update it. All I want is for it to do thne same thing today as it did yesterday. That should NOT require updates. Just leave me alone and let me print.
@@BestPrinters I just ordered the Canon G6020. Most I ever paid for a printer but hopefully the ink savings will make it up in the long run. Now if it will just shut up and print when I want it to.
I bought the Epson ET-3760 because I rarely have to access the display, and there was a $100 delta for the next model up....just for a touchscreen....wasn't worth it for me. Great review however.
i only watched the first couple minutes i have a canon its not working at the moment the heads keep getting clogged up so i had to keep cleaning them then the waste ink get full and the printer stops working this is what i want to hear about
I looked at all the reviews on printers and yours was the most in-depth straight and to the point. I was able to buy the Epson eco-tank 2850SE special edition all-in-one printer with bonus black ink for $249.87 on my Sam’s account. I’m sorry I didn’t use your links but this is what I can afford. I’ve subscribed to your channel because you will be very useful to me. Thank you very very very much!

hello there , i want to buy an epson ink tank . But i have a question about hardware quality like the maintance waste ink box thing / printheads problems ... stuff like that , i want to know if it the model / price play a role in these topics . For example Epson L3150 or Epson ET-2710 , it is much cheaper but i want to know if this low-range printer going to fall off quicker in terms of hardware quality or no . Thank you in advance.
If you are a big business owner and print everyday and want to dispose your printer every 2-3 years then buy epson because in many cases their printheads will show up signs of problems during those years or around after 7,000 to 15,000 pages of prints and it is very hard to acquire brand new print head. Epson will not sell printheads in the market, the way to only have brand new parts replacement is to send it to epson service center. Those you see in the online shop selling epson printhead are almost all used or 2nd hand and a lot have bad reviews. But if you are a small business office or a home user then buy canon pixma because the printhead replaceability is easier and most of the time available in online market brand new, making your printer last longer. They are also ink tank printer. Picture quality is also better with canon.
another peeve is that - service required-. i have an OLD Epson l110 printer, which does the job more than fine for what i need. but now it printed some 6000 pages and the red - ink and page - light is flashing. together with the green - power on - printer. i had done the things needed several years before, download a - page reset - program that also worked on my iMac. out the ink overflow sponge, downloaded the program and hey presto the whole thing worked just fine. not anymore. - WINDOWS programs cannot be opened on an Apple computer - , always the same message. and holding down this or that button as several -experts - suggested with 100% successes also do not work. looks like it will be off to an Epson Service... by the way, if one color tank is empty, and funny, it is also here the yellow, i also can print black only. Set up though is on the print set up. - print grayscale-... and all is black...

We had two Epson tank printers and had to return them after two years because of poor printing quality. Just got an HP tank printer and so far the printing quality for pictures is GREAT.Hope it lasts!
Greatly appreciate the advice. Thank you so much for the information ❤.
Thanks for this video! What camera are you using to film this video? The quality is insane!
Of course, I use the Canon 90D!
Thanks for sharing.
hi, can you tell me what cannon mega tank model did you buy for your cardstock printing.. also, are you having any issues with it yet ? because, i do alot of craft projects with cardstock and im having a hard time trying to decide on a smart tank printer..thanks
Epson:
- there have been numerous reports of color balance problems ( pink overtones ) right out of the box
- the ink absorbing pad when full locks up the printer - has this been solved with the new models ?
- if the print heads clog and don't respond to a "cleaning kit maintenance" , the head replacement is very expensive
- some complaints that colors were not vivid - seemed faded
Canon:
- there are many reports of air leaking into the ink supply tubes causing missing colors if you don't use the printer enough
- earlier models had a ink aborb pad when full would lockup printer - newer models have a user changeable pad
- lack of a full lit screen makes color adjustments tedious
HP - I'm not familiar with them but they seem lacking features and their support has a poor reputation
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Rafael, that means a lot. I am glad I was able to help you!
I have had two canon printers both of which I was glad to see go away. Both were troublesome to use. Always a reason they could not print. I just threw out my $400 three year old eco tank canon as the pads were full and the printer cannot be fixed.
I will never buy another canon product ever. Junk!
Does it print glossy thick paper?
how is the printer doing now?
What do you mean about the manufacture recommended monthly Volume of pages? What do you mean the manufacture knows if I go over the recommended volume of pages? Do you mean they know there will be problems because of the nature of the printer or that the manufacturers are creepers and they keep track of how much I print and will cause my printer problems if I happen to go over that amount?
Thank you so much for your video and your help.
Yes basically lol
Its like an Espresso machine for the home kitchen, no one would buy one of those to try and start a coffee shop, it would not hold up, likewise, don't buy one of these to try and use with a book printing shop or in a commercial setting.
If not using around 500-800 pages per month, can the cartridges be removed to prevent any problems?
No dont do that please
Good idea but then you'll eventually have ink literally dripping into your printer. Even closing off the tubing will result in dried ink in feed tubes :(. Air is always a problem.
Love your video - best information. I am going to replace my HP OLD printer with an Epson ET whatever. I need the ability to resize - make larger - from the program on the touch screen on the printer. My HP had envy had this capability. Which Epson ET do you recommend for this? I print black and white for classes I teach, BUT I also paint, so I take lots of photos that I print in color as references for my paintings.
One of the higher Epson ET models, like the 8500.
would be nice to have a review about all these pads that need to replaced.
You dont have to replace the pads, you have to replace the maintenance box.

Lot of people do reviews, I did like the way you did your review on the hp, Epson & Canon printers on this stream.

Thank you for the feedback.
Love to see the growth in the newer videos. You’ve come so far, keep it up! ❤
How do these three printers compare with each other on print quality?
Epson is the best, then Hp, last in Canon
@@BestPrinters Agreed. My only issue is the cost of HP printers to compared to the other 2 brands and issues with their internal build quality. That's the only reason I put Canon above HP as #2.

What about "Print " quality and resolution ? or ink replacement prices?
I would go with the Epson ET and use remanufactured ink. You will save lots of $
Excellent video!
If I were you I would go with with the base model Epson Eco Tank. Also I am making an updated 2023 video and using your comment.

The Epson ET 8550 print absolutely wonderful print though. Very accurate color reproduction (especially on photo paper).
Will any of these CLOG the print head if it's NOT USED for 1-3 months? Which one is LEAST susceptible to clogging?
I wish I could say, they all would probably clog with that amount of time.
What would be the best eco tank for doing photos also and does it have a separate tray for photo paper
I would say the Epson Eco Tank. None of these have a separate tray just for photos.

We don't print very often anymore since my kids are grown up and left the house but I think it's a good idea to keep a printer handy for that occasional copy or print, is there a printer that you recommend that the print heads won't dry out and cause trouble, thanks for the information you did a great job explaining it
Any laser printer would be best for occasional use.

Thank you for watching, I would recommend any Epson ET with an ADF, automatic document feeder.
Amen
Got the Epson ET-3760 from Costco and ended up returning the same day. Printing was ok. Was not happy with the ADF. Kept on jamming. Thats a great idea maybe later this year.
Thank you for the comment I may consider this comment for a future video.
What about the waste ink pad issue ? Was this solved by Epson ? Is it now customer reparable ?
Sorry I wasn’t able to get to your message. Please create a new comment with the same question if you still need a response. Thank you!
@@NinaS___ Thanks for your help.
Yes sir
How often do the print heads have to be replaced, ink absorbers?
If you mean the maintenance box, in the settings of these printers you should have an indication of when you need to change it.
I got a canon , one year old, I have so much ink left the paper is the high cost now , I just print things out now lol.
My problem is constant updates. I HATE Epson. I don't print every day but every time I print it tells me I have to update it. All I want is for it to do thne same thing today as it did yesterday. That should NOT require updates. Just leave me alone and let me print.
I feel you
@@BestPrinters I just ordered the Canon G6020.
Thank you!
i only watched the first couple minutes
i have a canon
its not working at the moment
the heads keep getting clogged up so i had to keep cleaning them
then the waste ink get full and the printer stops working
this is what i want to hear about

Thank you for making this video
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you very much for sharing this with me! I am glad this video helped. I appreciate you subscribing and let me know at any point if there are any questions I can help you with now or in the future.
What is the difference between 2850 and 2850se
hello there , i want to buy an epson ink tank .
Hi I just made a video that will answer your question: th-cam.com/video/61rB9GGcZBg/w-d-xo.html

Thank for the printer review. Our current printer is a Kodak ESP-7. Kodak stopped supporting them in 2012 and it has finally died.
You got your moneys worth! Printer dont last even a couple of years nowadays.
