I think the whole point of the King's Rock coming out of nowhere was to blindside everyone ESPECIALLY Forden. The whole point was that it was weird and unexpected. Meanwhile Louise had this whole plan with Zorba already going on. He planted him and his cronies in the Grand Cathedral ahead of time so when he seemingly showed up out of nowhere it was because Louise wanted to secure the scepter before Forden not knowing the Kings Rock would have kept it out of Forden's hand anyways. Meanwhile we come in not knowing any of this was going to happen trying to kill Louise. Basically several plans to take/secure/protect the throne all converged at once clashing and making the whole thing a freaking mess. It's seems awkward because we are looking at it from the protagonist's perspective. He was just there to save a friend. But if you think about it logically, of course Louise would pull something like this on the day of the King's funeral so he could steal the throne, of course the King had a contingency plan in place so not just ANYONE could take his magic and the throne, of course the King knew that upon his death Forden who's natural life is longer than the king's was planing to slip in and take the throne quietly when he inevitably died. It makes sense for these things to happen after all the death of a king is messy business, and we with our pure intentions got caught up in the mess.
Yeah the thing with Forden and Grius's tribe, they're technically the most 'Elf-like' in terms of other tribes such as they have the longest lifespans and probably nearly immortal.
I love when Zorba said “it’s Zorbin’ time” and zorbed all over the party members, he’s so cool 😎 If you read his entry in the memorandum, it says he’s half mustari (the people with the third eye who wear masks) and half Clemar like Strohl, hence why he only has one horn. So naturally he probably faced a lot of discrimination like Maria does. Kinda sets expectations early for what kind of man Louis is to have such fervent support from guys like him. Also the human you fight after him is DIRECTLY influenced by a famous surreal Heironymous Bosch painting “the Garden of Earthly Delights”. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend looking it up, it’s pretty spot on lol. Gives you an idea on what inspired the art direction this time around Edit 1: Don’t forget to inherit useful skills on your party members as they accrue different archetypes so you are always ready to exploit any weaknesses! Edit 2: Rella is an Ishkia, they’re the ones with the wings and long eyelashes. Maria, who you’ve already met, also is half Ishkia and half Rhoag (her dad Grius was Rhoag, like Brigitta and Forden). Fun fact about the Ishkia wings, they’re apparently useless for flight, a fact that they’re constantly insulted for even though they are one of the “higher class” tribes like the clemar and the rouissante (the elf ear guys). When you have the time, give the memorandum a read, it helps a lot for lore stuff like this!
Yeah, there's a ton of Renaissance influence in this game. One of the most glaring is the DaVinci drawing of the man with many limbs, I forgot the official name, but it's plastered everywhere, from the menu, to the archetype learning. It's a really cool design choice, though.
Btw Some of the synthesis skills have really cool unique animations so they are worth not skipping when using them for the first time, they are basically reload’s theurgy
So fun fact Nico: Many of the designs for the “Human” bosses in this game are inspired by Dutch Renaissance artist Hieronymous Bosch. This particular boss was pulled directly from his painting “The Garden of Earthly Delights”.
When I played I actually though that it was fine that Zorba wasn't given as much focus until the very end or that the King's funeral was paced rather quickly because It's clear that the point of the scenes, beyond establishing the "rules" for the rest of the game was to establish Louis's character, a man who believes in Meritocracy but is also in many ways a result of people feeling abandoned by the systems of Euchronia such as Church and Senate and perhaps more importantly, the promises of the former King. It's to the point that Louis showers the crowd with flowers from the royal banquet while openly admitting he killed the king and yet his popularity soars. It's a neat bit of worldbuilding to show just how Louis, a strongman who claims to beyond prejudice would appeal so widely to many, especially after the former king promised equality yet left the country more divided than ever. Likewise, I find Zorba's lack of focus fine because its clear that the real focus of the dungeon is Louis. The dungeon both shows why people who are abandoned by the system: the "pagans", "halfbloods" and people from "lesser" tribes flock to Louis and his promises but also shows the consequences of that line of thinking: that the weak will get purged by the very people who claim to protect them. Zorba himself is less of a character and more of a representative of those who feel like they have hope under Louis. It's neat because unlike say Shido from Persona 5, the game goes out of its way to show exactly what Louis is about, what he promises, why people are drawn to him, and why the support him in spite of his vileness all from the very first dungeon. It makes him feel like an antagonist with a presence that permeates the entire game as opposed to the rather one and done antagonists like the Phantom Thieve targets.
In a game with a lot of great characters, Batlin (the crier) and Rella (the cursebreaker) are actually two of my favourites. Putting aside any impact they may or may not have on the story, I really like their character designs and their voice actors both give great performances.
Zorba: Ha you’re to late fools, with my army of the dead I shall lead a glorious path for lord Louis to ascend to the throne and- Bizzle: Halloween is over. Zorba: ………What? Bizzle: Halloween ended a few weeks ago, so you can’t bring out the ghouls and skeletons. Zorba: But……….but………. Aw man. *Zorba sulks away* Strohl: Ok that can’t be how this quest ends after all we’ve been through just to make it here. *QUEST COMPLETE* Strohl: OH COME ON!!!
The funeral sequence isn’t “rushed” at all. It perfectly establishes Louis as a ruthless, yet intelligent and well-spoken threat, while also presenting the idea of royal magic and choosing the next ruler through the will of the people. It doesn’t waste time or overly spoon-feed. To say it was a low point of the story so far is actually crazy to me. Does anyone feel the same way as Nico does? I haven’t actually seen anyone else’s reaction to the funeral so I’m genuinely curious
I think it's because he thinks that was the entire introduction to the royal magic and all that, and that there won't be further explanation later all throughout the game.
@@Dew8Dew Right? I have a feeling though he’s not gonna budge and just insist that the funeral sequence was a low point of the story for the rest of time 😔
The funeral isn't really rushed, in that I agree, but setting up the whole plot of the game (the king selection) right afterwards was sudden (which is good because that's how the story is) and FELT rushed, but the characters also felt that so I guess it's okay to think that way... what I noticed though is that the main characters have a loose motivation to be there yet other than doing the right thing, which to some gamers may seem like "no real purpose", which is by coincidence the same effect a very rushed story without setup has... so in terms of FEELINGS (and not thoughts) the rushed feeling is strong
@@BlaxeFrost-X Don't they have a solid motivation through? They need to kill Louis, and Zorba is one of his closest allies, who better to purse other than him, and meanwhile you take care of the Cathedral problem, makes enough sense to me. Maybe it's not the most grandiose mission as the first real deadline, but I think it does a good job.
Ranking up this games social link is definitely much more lenient than in persona, not only because there is no point system to worry about, but also because there is no set schedule for when someones available. Instead, there is a one day cooldown between when you can do ranks, and occasionally you'll be gated with storylock at certain ranks. I've seen people criticize the game for being lenient as not even Persona 5 Royal, the previous most lenient game will give you as much free time by the end, but honestly I really like not having to worry as much about scheduling, not to mention since its a new IP being more lenient than Persona works well to ease people unfamiliar to the calendar system imo.
yeah I was fine with how lenient the schedule is because it's pretty clear by the end that the game WANTS you to get everyone maxed given the themes & the way the bonds tie into the Archetype system
Eh, technically it does have a bit of a schedule/conditions thing but the most we can say at this point is that some are only available at Night like Briggita.
I agree, while sure I have about 15 days left with no more rank ups or anything to do, I’d rather that then miss out on the complete bond stories in one playthrough
A tip about exploring town I’ve noticed: This game handles NPC’s differently than any other game I’ve seen before. If you see a group with the words.mutter or gossip over their heads, that’s a group you can go up to and talk to. Once you’ve talked to them, you can’t use the button anymore. Instead, you just get the fluff dialogue that floats above them. Same thing with individuals. If a bright white icon is over their heads, you can talk to them once, then it greys out and you can’t talk to them with the button anymore. The reason this is cool is because when you’re running back through the town on your free days, one quick glance down the street lets you know if there’s anything new. New people or new groups will stand out from across the map and you don’t have to waste time re-exploring to find new things. Now in recent years, you’ve done less exploring and NPC interactions because you’re trying to keep your episodes flowing nicely. But with this system, you can quickly check on everyone in town, which is good because you can often get items like mp restoratives and relevant lore. Speaking of things to find on the street, there’s a couple you overlooked. On the shop street if you run all the way to the dead end and look around, you’ll find something. In the item shop if you examine the shelves you’ll find something. And in the recruitment center, you walked into one of the back rooms by two steps, but if you’ve gone in three steps and LOOKED AROUND, you’d have found something. Much like the Yakuza games, if you want to find everything, you really need to move that camera around a lot.
Something I just thought I'd mention, incase you hadn't noticed yet, is that when you level up in overworld combat you don't get to allocate your stat points on the protag. You do still get those points, but they don't get allocated until either you level up again in regular battles (and you'll have two or more points to distribute) OR you can go into the party menu and click on the protag there will be an option (pressing X on PS5 I don't know the Xbox layout) to then allocate any unspent points.
Merchant's money skill is also handy for MP preservation, you do lose money (which is a bit of a bugger at the start) but Merchant's passive (extra money when stunning/killing foes) will help keep your money topped up.
It's always best to start combat with everyone on back row. The only benefit to being front row is higher physical attack damage, but it lowers defense against physical attacks. Being in the back row doesn't effect magic danger for either side and raises defense against physical attacks. Since you can always choose to move your characters forward at no cost when they attack with physical damage, its better to stay in the back row in every other scenario. Plus if you stay in back row, you can avoid getting wiped when u get ambushed since it will help your defenses.
I gotta admit, I know everyone saying nico already met a ishkia, but i think Maria is really an outlier compared to the rest, when i first saw rella i also had no idea what she was, her wings are about the same color as her skin making it kinda look like fur. We also just havent had a good look at an Ishkia character design yet. So dont let everyone make you feel like your crazy!
And to be fair, I'm pretty sure the Ishkia tribe hadn't even been established in the story yet. Maria's profile lists her as Rhoag and Ishkia, but no full-blooded Ishkia had been explicitly shown yet, so it's easy to miss.
Fun fact about the humans in this game: their designs are modeled after the work of painter Hieronymus Bosch. For instance, the human that Louis brought to the funeral is taken from the work, ‘Last Judgement.’
Sad thing about Zorba is that as crazy as he may sound, he actually had full belief in his actions and even felt that the protagonist should sympathize with him due to the poor treatment from other tribes.
The Homo Avades that you fight is based on a famous figure from the rightmost panel of the triptych "The Garden of Earthly Delights". It is colloquially known as the "tree-man" and is the focus of the entire panel standing right at the center. The panel itself is supposed to represent hell featuring demons torturing humans in various poetic ways. Bosch's art was unique because while his work featured iconography that had long been common when depicting hell, he depicted hell not as a fantastical place but as a realistic one containing many elements from day to day life but exaggerated in absurd ways. The "tree-man" itself is likely a favorite of Bosch's as it features in a great number of his personal sketches. The creature is depicted as a beast with a human-like head overlooking behind it towards the torture that is performed. It's body is shaped like a massive egg, inside which depicts three naked men drinking at a table and a woman pouring drink from a barrel. Despite the proportions, it's stands on only two legs, both resembling tree trunks, giving a sense of unbalance as if the creature should collapse on it's own weight but refuses to. In place of it's hind legs, a ladder streches form the ground towards the interior of the "egg-body" depicting a demon-with a bird head and butterfly wings presenting the beast to two humans, naked and clothed as well as a man with a lantern climbing up it. Meanwhile the two "trunk-legs" stand not on the ground but on a pair of boats where some humans watch as others drown. Above the head is a circular panel featuring a heart playing a bagpipe and blowing off smoke. The heart is likely intended to invoke a phalic design: reminiscent of male private parts. Demons such as a humanoid bird carrying a torch and two human-like figures with fancy clothes, one fat and one large lead a strange dance around the heart for the naked humanoids while the bagpipe-heart is played by a demon with a human head but a stocky, bird-like body. Notably, the face of this creature is likely supposed to be a self-portrait of Bosch himself, with the sideways glance being Bosch reflecting on his artwork. In Metaphor, the creature is even more monstrous as half its face looks to be torn off leaving an exposed eye leaking tears. It's legs are even more tree-like now with two branches extending into arm-like appendages that can attack. Perhaps most interestingly, it can sometimes within it's egg body summon frog-like knights to attack. These knight are actually an EXTREMELY obscure reference to one of Bosch's sketches featuring five frogs dressed as knights while smaller more humanoid knights dance on their helmets.
Zorba: I’ll make sure Louis is the next king, and I’ll do it by reanimating this giant monster in the middle of a public area! Royal Guard on the ground: Oi! Did you hear that? That necromancer is attacking innocent people and causing property damage in the name of Count Louis! Commoner: I heard it plain as day! Hulkenberg: As a knight, I swear that’s what he said! Crier: Hear ye! Hear ye! People of our fair kingdom, Louis has instructed his minion to use dark magic to reanimate a monster and kill us all! Louis: Why did I trust that simp again?
As funny as this is to imagine, I'm fairly certain Louis was in on the whole resurrection plan. Up untill our group appears no-one else has the capability to adequatly fight humans except Louis. By having a human destroy the capital and kill almost everyone there. he shows off how useless the current royal army under the church's control is and the destruction of the grand cathedral will really shake up people's beliefs in god and by extension Forden. Furthermore, a bunch of people outside the capital will just not believe it or even celebrate it happening. And those who do might start supporting Louis out of fear for him doing the same thing to them.
Worse, Zorba kinda made it easier for the protagonist to get a social standing through helping people that were affected by the terrorist attack, beating him into the dirt and slaying his reanimated Human monster.
Something I realize ( I could be wrong because all the cuts during battle) When you use Hulkenberg's taunt, move her to the back row 1st to reduce the damage, cause that taunt is just a "taunt" and not a "taunt & guard", so she is technically taking full damage
If you feel up to it I would recommend turning the difficulty up to hard, since I think it makes you have to engage with the turn system and abilities more strategically. Given that you finished Brigitta's side dungeon early and seemed to have fun puzzling that out, seems to me like it'd be a good fit.
That tactic with the paing of Louis reminded me of something. It was when the Persians went to battle against ancient Egypt. Because Egypt worshipped cats, they basically used cats against them tying them onto their shields and stuff. The Egyptians were very reluctant to fight back as a result. This has been considered as one of the dirtiest tactics in history.
I really enjoyed Zorba as a first villian to fight(not counting Klinger). No pesky grey morality and some great voicelines. Also the fight with him has some simple gimmicks but can still be challenging(on hard at least) EDIT: Cooking in the inn without using the ingredients will still give you 3 points max. I still think it's just that it's more of a restricted option only available at night that causes it to give you more points than the Mustari.
@@KeeperOfUntoldDreams honestly love the VAs. I played both ENG and JP and tbh, the English VA sounds better IMO. Likely it’s due to the different accents that’s on show to make it sounds like the United Kingdom of Euchronia
@@selwynljz Yeah, I'll probably play with the JP voices when I play on NG+, but the accents add so much life to the world and make it feel even more diverse. It helps that you can tell that the VAs are putting their all into it.
A tip regarding the support attacks.. essentially when you “perfect” dodge enemy attacks your party members will always attack for you. So with the healer you can dodge the weaker enemies and have them attack to get hp back if needed
They are not guaranteed to attack after a perfect dodge, but the fact that sometimes more than 1 member jumps in makes up for it. on average you can expect someone to show up if you do a perfect dodge. You also get a sound clip of the protaganist saying something like : "nice try" or "I'm over here" when you pull one off.
@@Mathamus1 maybe im just lucky then cause i grinded for ab an hour and it happened everytime for me made it easier to focus on enemies that took more than 1 hit
It is just me that feels like we are overwhelming Nico with information? Like, more than usual? I also did try to give some information that probably wasn't necessary, which i do apologize, but I do feel like a lot of the comments are just giving so many tips and recommedations when maybe a few of thoses things we should let Nico try experimenting for himself.
I did notice that, And I agree with that it should maybe be cut back a little. Altough I very much understand the urge to give advice too, I've had to struggle not to talk about certain tactics that I used to get to the cathedral using minimal MP untill after he went through it.
*Bizzle:* Sorry Zorba, but it looks like the yolk's on you! *Gallica:* You did not just- *Bizzle:* Sure got egg on your face now, huh? *Gallica:* STOP THAT- *Bizzle:* Beating that human wasn't hard at all! The fight went by so fast it was... Over easy. *Gallica:* HEY, LISTEN! (Covers mouth) ...Oh please no, don't let me turn into "her."
Bizzile: Don’t get all scrambled Gallica. We won so things are sunny side up. So come omelette’s go plan our next move. Gallica: That last one was eggshausting… AW CRAP!
A little trick I've found about the Support Attacks in overworld combat. I don't know if it's written anywhere in the game but if you dodge an enemy's attack so they hit your I-Frames, your party members will come out to attack them.
All of the human monsters in this game are based on Bosch's paintings. The human at the fort from the beginning of the game was also taken from one of his paintings.
Nearly every time you dodge an enemy attack in the overworld, your party members will perform a support attack on that enemy. I found it pretty useful to fight with the brawler and then switch to healer and dodge some attacks to heal HP.
The dungeon of the cathedral was cool and Zorba is an interesting character. Maybe he will return and there is more of him later. Yes, the King´s face reminds me a lot of the moon in Zelda Majora´s Mask, too. i wonder what other powers he have and what secret or dark magic is that he uses. It is all so mysterious and I am looking forward to the next part. ^^
You know what fun. Going into this fight, Near low on mp and fighting Zorba with an archtype that weak against physicals....thank goodness you get a full heal after that battle or that human battle would be just...ugh.
Great to see your voice is back, been looking forward to Metaphor. This has been my game of the year. With the merchant you can ignore the mechanics of the giant monster and just attack the heart with gold attack instead.
Just to note: While most later classes simply involve upping their previous stage, some of the later class lines have pre-requisites involving having progress on other classes as well. As far I'm aware, the earliest case is Knight progressing to its tier 2 by having levels in Mage.
I finally can use my art history class knowledge! The "Human" designs are based of the painting The Garden of Earthly Delight by Hieronymus Bosch. It was painted during the Middle ages which fits medieval fantasy theme for this game. I also like how the fairy tail book in the game depicts our world as a Utopia but it contrast of the painting theme portraying us ( "Humans" ) as monsters of our sins.
A trick I used to grind mp fast, was attacking a strong enemy causing a stun, engageing in squad battle, then escaping because its guaranteed when the enemy is stunned. Then attacking to cause a stun again and repeat. This method works even better in a large group of strong enemies, I did it on the teeth and was getting 4 or 5 mp a stun
Eh, doing that as they unlock is a waste of MAG, which you will run out of if you don't grind it later, and unless there is a level 1 skill on a archetype you really want, you might as well only unlock Archetypes when you want to level/use them. Also let's you use the MAG cost reduction you get from higher support ranks.
You may have noticed at this point but ultimately your dialogue choices don't really matter! Go ahead & pick the funny option, it'll lead to the same result; choose the flavor of dialogue you want to respond with! However there are some decisions where the choices do matter, like when increasing your royal virtue stats, in which case choose carefully to maximize your stat gain.
I mostly used basic attacks and randomly dropped elemental attack items while going through the first few floors of the cathedral(and made sure to always go into battle with the enemies stunned). made it up to the point with all the skeletons without using MP/HP at all. Pretty reliable with Sthroll wielding that fire sword even without going through the Beluga corridor
I finally finished the game. 130hours. I have roughly 10 days left with literally nothing else to do and I can say I’m doing mostly everything efficiently. Soo.. take that information as you see fit.
yah, I myself wasn't very efficient and even messed up a few times but still had a few days by the end of my first playthrough... well aside from having to clean up certain quests at the end that I barely finished as well as not being able to finish a certain other thing.
Heres a tip to help you in dungeons when trying to recover mp or do a little grinding. Any dungeon where you see the trance crystals(the red crystals that infinitely spawn monsters) is a place where you can get back your mp a little easier. The game encourages you to break the crystal right away but its actually better to leave the crystals alone until your about to finish the dungeon so you can go back to it and recover more easily from the enemies that spawn from it which "usually" are the weakest enemies in the dungeon. Just be careful not to let your allies break it by accident
Short, young protagonist? ✓ Fairy "navi"-gator?✓ "Moon" with a scary face?✓ Painful-looking transformations? Time limit? Magical music? ✓✓✓ Are we sure this isn't Majora's Mask 2? Side Note: You probably don't need to hear this now, but remember to take care of your health, too. Warm tea with honey can really work wonders for one's throat, though I am not sure if that's effective for vocal issues.
I went scrolling fhrough the comments just to make sure. Nico press L1 or xbox's eauivalent to lock on. It makes overworld combat far smoother. Not just because you're aiming at them but ALSO because protag kun closes any distance made.
Zorba: YOU DEGENERATES! How DARE you use Louis' portrait as a SHIELD against my bone shards. If only I had the ability to move inanimate objects at will to remove your shield, you heathens would be PULVERISED!!!
Classic Comment section: gaslighting Nico into saying that brawler is so great only to get into a fight with enemies that repel all types of physical skills.
After Zorba left. Bizzle: Strohl, have you notice something strange under your shoes while you were pushing Louis' portrait? Strohl: I did notice something smells strange on the floor but I was just focusing on moving the giant portrait since non of you help me to move. What is it? Bizzle: It is.... Hulkenberg: ..................... don't say it. Gallica: Sto... Bizzle: Zorbra's markings.... Strohl: What kind of markings? Some kind of magic trap? Bizzle: Nothing..... I'm just overthinking. After we defeat Zorbra, you should wash your shoes thoroughly. Strohl: Alright! Hulkenberg & Gallica: ............
I think maybe you should go back and watch some cutscenes with you taking a month between episodes 1 and 2 and getting sick. I feel you've missed some details or just forgot and honestly qo through the memorandum too.
Huh... I don't know if it's because of the way I handled the fights but I never got the prompt for Galica's help for any of them beyond the Human Boss with the apples
My first time watching this video I wasn't that focused because I was sick but now that I'm focused I have a genuine question, The pink hair character people are saying is a reference to somebody or another anime character who?

From the little I've seen of both of them, I love their voice performance! They're there for a couple of minutes, but they do make an impact.
Zorba: Ha you’re to late fools, with my army of the dead I shall lead a glorious path for lord Louis to ascend to the throne and-
Bizzle: Halloween is over.
Zorba: ………What?
Bizzle: Halloween ended a few weeks ago, so you can’t bring out the ghouls and skeletons.
Zorba: But……….but………. Aw man.
*Zorba sulks away*
Strohl: Ok that can’t be how this quest ends after all we’ve been through just to make it here.
*QUEST COMPLETE*
Strohl: OH COME ON!!!
*Zorba's Dance starts playing*
This feels like something you'd see in a Team Four Star series. I love it. 😂
I would play the shit out of a fantasy RPG parody game! Where stuff like that would actually happen! :D
Ah Batlin, one of those unexpectedly fun characters. Sadly I can't say anymore at this point except for the fact that this game has wonderful writing.
Nope, I find it's kinda odd too, I think it does everything right like you said, I wonder if he's going to re-evalutate it later on.
Rella is an Ishkia, it said so when she was first shown. Maria is half Ishkian (hence her wings) and half Rhoag.
A tip about exploring town I’ve noticed:
This game handles NPC’s differently than any other game I’ve seen before.
Much like the Yakuza games, if you want to find everything, you really need to move that camera around a lot.
are you talking about the gold beetles that pop up everywhere? I've heard that they are important for an NPC later, but not much else
Sweet, Batlin finally makes his appearance. That guy is one of my favorites. :)
I love him so much; he definitely subverted my expectations.
And the one from the border keep is from the art Garden of Earthly Delights
Batlin (the church crier) doesn't have horns b/c he's a clemar, he has horns because he's THE GOAT 🗣🗣
HE IS!
Louis: Fake News. The other side is so brainwashed.
Something I realize ( I could be wrong because all the cuts during battle)
When you use Hulkenberg's taunt, move her to the back row 1st to reduce the damage, cause that taunt is just a "taunt" and not a "taunt & guard", so she is technically taking full damage
yeah the early one is just "take the aggro". later Knight upgrades will have a "take the aggro AND guard"
Funny how Nico said Rella, the Ishkia girl, looks like Fuuka. Because surprise surprise she voiced by Mamiko Noto, Fuuka JP voice actress
Albus Batlin: **Exists**
Me: Nial, the fuck are you doing in this game?!
Every time Zobra opens his mouth all I can think of is this :
GLASWEGIAN! THAT IS A MAN FROM GLASGOW!
Rella is ishkia. Maria (Grius' daughter) is also half Ishkia and half Rhoag which is why her wings are so much smaller.
Ah yes, the only thing to rival british vas: scottish vas
XC2: "Welsh VAs as catgirls."
Americans who don't realise Scotland & Wales are also part of Britain 🙄The word you're looking for is English.
If you feel up to it I would recommend turning the difficulty up to hard, since I think it makes you have to engage with the turn system and abilities more strategically. Given that you finished Brigitta's side dungeon early and seemed to have fun puzzling that out, seems to me like it'd be a good fit.
Louise: Impossible! How did you survive all the way until the day of election?
Bizzle: I stayed at level one.
For that pink hair character I'm gonna say she's even a "Bat-eared fox" or a "Fennec fox"
*group approaches zorba with the painting*
zorba: "i can aim guys" *snipes group from side, fantasy is dead*
That tactic with the paing of Louis reminded me of something. It was when the Persians went to battle against ancient Egypt. Because Egypt worshipped cats, they basically used cats against them tying them onto their shields and stuff. The Egyptians were very reluctant to fight back as a result. This has been considered as one of the dirtiest tactics in history.
I gotta steal that for a DND campaign.
I really enjoyed Zorba as a first villian to fight(not counting Klinger). No pesky grey morality and some great voicelines. Also the fight with him has some simple gimmicks but can still be challenging(on hard at least)
EDIT: Cooking in the inn without using the ingredients will still give you 3 points max. I still think it's just that it's more of a restricted option only available at night that causes it to give you more points than the Mustari.
I didn't count Klinger either...he felt more like a Mini-Boss. To be a boss they need a dungeon and Deadline so to speak imo
Shoutouts to Hulkenberg for providing a more clear and succinct definition of Hope than Danganronpa ever did.
"This sword cuts through crystals like a hot knife through butter!"
(meanwhile Shulk somewhere else) "I'm not really feeling it"
I love just how fucking hard the English VAs go in this game.
I was thinking of commenting something like this, but I admit I thought it was still not guaranteed, so I guess even I have more to learn.
@ yeah i’m near the end of the game and i still find new things like this the game has alot of mechanics that can go unnoticed
Zorba's japanese Va is Sugita Tomokazu, use that information as you will.
huh, interesting.
SCOTLAND FOREVER!!
FREEEEEEEEEDOM!
@@icetweiz THEY MAY TAKE OUR LIVES
*Gallica:* You did not just-
*Bizzle:* Sure got egg on your face now, huh?
*Gallica:* STOP THAT-
*Bizzle:* Beating that human wasn't hard at all! The fight went by so fast it was... Over easy.
*Gallica:* HEY, LISTEN! (Covers mouth) ...Oh please no, don't let me turn into "her."
*shudder* we don't mention "her". Not again. Never again.
49:23 WAIT, WTF??? IS THIS A GODDAMN HIERONYMUS BOSCH REFERENCE?? NGL, WASN'T EXPECTING THAT ONE
All of the human monsters in this game are based on Bosch's paintings. The human at the fort from the beginning of the game was also taken from one of his paintings.
@LoneWolf982 frfr? Damn
Yeah... i made the mistake of grinding too much before the battle and was super low on MP on the Zorba fight...
Woof that Miss Fabienne is a fox!...uh wolf
"You've done nothing but talk. Perhaps you should have listened instead."
Something tells me this line is important.
Hulkenberg: "Madness ill becomes you, Zorba."
Are you sure about that? Like, REALLY sure? I mean, seriously, just LOOK AT HIM.
“What’s with all the buff bunny girls lately?”
*looks at my FFXIV buff bunny warrior*
It’s a cool aesthetic I guess.
Nico, in case you didn't know, get every archetype on every party member, it'll make things easier later on
I do that too, whenever you do that, More gives you stuff.
They only matter in the Bond or Stat Up portions but that just to get extra stat up or bonus MAG
I PULL YER STRINGS.
NOW DANCE FER ME!
IVE BODIES TO SPARE.
I heard these lines a lot when I fought him in hard mode 😆.
@ they’re so ingrained in my mind from regicide
I mostly used basic attacks and randomly dropped elemental attack items while going through the first few floors of the cathedral(and made sure to always go into battle with the enemies stunned). made it up to the point with all the skeletons without using MP/HP at all. Pretty reliable with Sthroll wielding that fire sword even without going through the Beluga corridor
Oh i love this first boss so cool. I love the design.
I mean bunnies ARE buff. Have you ever been kicked by bunny? xD
You can turn off the motion blur in the settings
Democracy magic making the protag invincible to the human-monsters in the endgame would be lit.
It only work half the time, democracy protects. the MC is bleed immune at least. FO SUPA EARF!
don't forget you can rewind any battle
Heres a tip to help you in dungeons when trying to recover mp or do a little grinding. Any dungeon where you see the trance crystals(the red crystals that infinitely spawn monsters) is a place where you can get back your mp a little easier. The game encourages you to break the crystal right away but its actually better to leave the crystals alone until your about to finish the dungeon so you can go back to it and recover more easily from the enemies that spawn from it which "usually" are the weakest enemies in the dungeon. Just be careful not to let your allies break it by accident
Rella is Ishkia, the same race as Maria (well Maria is half Ishkia, but you know). They have big old wings
Defining characteristics of Ishka are tgeir sort of flat angular noses and prominent eyelashes as well as obviously the wings.

Side Note: You probably don't need to hear this now, but remember to take care of your health, too. Warm tea with honey can really work wonders for one's throat, though I am not sure if that's effective for vocal issues.
Nah Fear and hunger: Termina is majoras mask 2. This would be majoras mask 3.
Hope your voice is feeling better just remember your b or circle button is a dodge button which has invincibility frames
I wonder if the creatures that were walking around the disk on Homo Avades's head had their own thoughts, lives and schedules.
Nico, now that some in-game time has passed, you should check the rock with the faces on it at the entrance to the cathedral again.
Tifa’s Fursona I’m DYING!!! 🤣🤣
Before she was named, Rella was introduced as "Ishkia woman". I think.
yeah thankfully this game has an amazing ost - i thank the monk spitting bars mainly
Classic Comment section: gaslighting Nico into saying that brawler is so great only to get into a fight with enemies that repel all types of physical skills.
Is it just me or does strohl give off some great ace attorney Sherlock Holmes vibes from his portrait
After Zorba left.
Bizzle: Strohl, have you notice something strange under your shoes while you were pushing Louis' portrait?
Strohl: I did notice something smells strange on the floor but I was just focusing on moving the giant portrait since non of you help me to move. What is it?
Bizzle: It is....
Hulkenberg: ..................... don't say it.
Gallica: Sto...
Bizzle: Zorbra's markings....
Strohl: What kind of markings? Some kind of magic trap?
Bizzle: Nothing..... I'm just overthinking. After we defeat Zorbra, you should wash your shoes thoroughly.
Strohl: Alright!
Hulkenberg & Gallica: ............

Only 10k views? This is dropping off already.
Holy shit I’m early.
Can't wait for the final episode to start with the whole "Now to conclusion of..." Then it ends with "THE PLATINUM DEMON LORD EDITION"

Hm...... Hrmmm... What are you guys thinking? I rank it about an 7.5/Nagito. Thoughts?
My first time watching this video I wasn't that focused because I was sick but now that I'm focused I have a genuine question, The pink hair character people are saying is a reference to somebody or another anime character who?
