Loved your reaction but I honestly think Got me Started used the sample in such a genius way. And when you hear him explain the proses you’ll recognise that it wasn’t used in that “sample” way. Most samples are trash but this one’s in the same range as Summer Renaissance (Donna Summers)

I thinks it's so funny the way we react differently to the sample of "Shooting Stars" in Get Me Started. As a millenial 👵🏻, I enjoyed the song before the meme, so it was so wonderful hearing that familiar synth. I suggest you listen to the original song. The still got it and can’t go back are about the guy he wrote the whole Bloom album about It was a 41/2 year relationship …. Most of the album is about the joy of coming out the devastation of ending that relationship.
