I love how all of Asta's mentors taught him something very useful. Fanzel taught him how to be a better swordsman, Yami taught him how to use Ki, Gaja taught him how to use Anti-Magic more naturally like how mages use magic, and SPOILERS, Nacht taught him how to use the full power and potential of his Anti-Magic by having him and his devil Liebe finally work together fully.

Can't forget something that he never learned to do in the first place. Those scenes just happened and reason why Tabata never fleshed it out cause of how OP it would've been. For people badmouthing the quality of animation in this episode, the upcoming spade kingdom arc will feature A LOT of fights. Including Yuno vs Zeno, Yami and Asta vs Dante, Nero and Noelle vs Vanica, and various Black Bulls + Leo vs Dark Diciples. So their basically saving up for those fights.
When the next episodes is going to come
For those wondering why the animation / Art style sucks for most of the episode, just know they’re hopefully saving the budget for the spade kingdom arc....
I honestly wish they put more time into this fight and the Yuno vs Langris fight instead of the captain battle. The captain battle was cool and all, but really unnecessary in terms of plot. This fight and the Yuno vs Langris fight are actually related to the plot, so I think they should've gotten priority.

@@silverYolo Stop being a child and realize good animation and terrible ones. This episode had good direction in the action to atleast let you know how the fight was being displayed. Terrible animation is a failure of art and poor angles that leave you confuse on the direction or flow of what is going on. Things were a little stiff but not too much. Still an outsourced episode.
Honestly, I just love Gaja's smile and overall reaction after Asta finally got a hit in. He's just happy to see a bro surpasse his limits, man!

These episodes are really part of the story, with everyone learning new techniques that they are really gonna use in the Spade Arc.

Im so proud of asta he finally did something other than a melee attack since he fought mars
He also absorbed Gauche's power with the sword and used it for ranged attacks during the arc that introduced Patry/"Licht", and he also once threw the demon-dweller sword at Ladros if that counts.

But with this it’s seeming like asta is about to soar past yuno with getting in touch with his devil. Yuno is already in touch with his spirit and asta is about to start getting in touch with his devil. Man asta is about to destroy Yuno, I don’t think Yuno will be able to compete anymore

Being a powerhouse is not in Magna's character or position in the power scale of Black Clover's world. He is from the peasant branch and it's a miracle that even some become Magic Knights. Is this to say that Magna will always be useless? No because there are more variables in being a great magic knight than just the power of your mana. Takes wit, training, and how much control over your mana that you have. Along with spells being a wild card to how much they can help you in a situation. Magna is never going to be as powerful as Luck but that doesn't mean he can't be as effective in certain situations. Look at Zora for example on how he plans ahead and uses deception to gain an advantage in combat. He is a clever trickster who can be your best friend in support. Magna might have to go that route instead of trying to outmatch Luck in guns blazing scenarios.
The anime could’ve treated Magna so much better, because remember this is anime cannon so they could’ve made magna do anything but they made him into a p*ssy 😂

Everybody talking about low budget as if they cant afford ink and paper to make the anime... time constraints and outsourcing are the main issues when it comes to quality.
Then some confuse bad art with bad animation which isn't the case. Outsource episodes tend to be like that with the art looking a little wonky and animation a little stiff but you can still see the direction in the scene that they are depicting.
So what we need is seasonal black clover not weekly

One instance of brief bad animation this ep was before this scene, where Asta just turned into Pac-man while chasing Gajja, but other than that, anime-onlies are in for a treat

Hopefully this is going as planned because Tabata did get mad when the animators showed spells that they weren't suppose to show yet in previous episodes involving Noelle and Leopold
it is going as planned as this is part of the training. In the previous incidents, they animated spells with runes when Leopold and Noelle hadn't even begun training in the Heart Kingom.

I want to see him absorb enemy spells and send them back at his opponents, like Licht did with that very sword against him and Yuno. Maybe it'll happen if he ever meets up with the elves again and Patry points out, "That sword can absorb and release enemy spells; I saw Licht do it a dozen times."

I know it sounds weird but I don't think captains can be just scaled Linearly.
They have different magic types, advantages and disadvantages.

Then Nozel's ever changing magic makes him a one man army.

I didnt noticd this at first but when yami said mana zone: black hole he was able to absorb the magic in front of him but not around him so what it means is that he created a dark magic sheild around him to block it
