What good memories... When I started in this hobby, the only decent thing that could be acquired worked with nitro and it was almost a luxury to have one of those cars, the battery-powered ones began to emerge with better and better electronics but they still left much to be desired. Seeing one of those endearing smoky and noisy little things in 2022 has been very nice and heartwarming. Thank you very much, sir, good review and good info, as always.
Love nitro!! Just purchased last year my 1st nitro buggy, Losi 8IGHT. I thought my Arrma Typhon 6S & Arrma Limitless were a blast, this Losi buggy brought rc car fun to a whole new level. Yes, it can be a bit tedious to break in & tune, but it's a blast to ride. I just tore her down last week to clean her up & lubricate everything so that she's ready for spring! Nice find bro! 😎👍

I had a Tamiya Tnx Pro, the version that won the World champs so had different shocks, carb and a 15000rpm tuned engine, 2 speed gears. Absolute loved it, it was mental -- Now, 1 very grumpy park ranger and a visut from Pc plod stopped all that in one afternoon. Was on our local playing fields, beautiful summer sunday with literally no one around and I probably woke this idiot up. Tried to claim they were banned because of an accident but couldn't back it up, seeing as I was there most day's I knew it was BS. Next thing I know Plod is there and thay was the end of my Nitro days !
This is the issue mate and partly the reason I gave up the hobby years ago as I was primarily into nitro/petrol and had very limited places to run them without causing distress. They are obnoxious to some people especially dog walkers and back in 2008-2010 I used to get told to move on far too often. There are so many byelaws and restrictions for us in the UK well I guess it depends on each areas council but where I am most places prohibit RC use which is why I have a very select few places I can comfortably make these vids. This was private land fortunately and through my work I am allowed to be there as a member. That's why I film a lot of my videos at this site as I wont be troubled. I think if I pushed my luck with a 1/5 petrol or something I would probably be told to put it away haha! Shame as I do enjoy nitro as much as electric and would love to do a lot more nitro vids on the channel!
Got to be done mate! They can be a right pain to get going but once break in is done and tuning out the way they are great fun! The FTX Carnage wouldn't be a bad choice. Very cheap in parts and available from all our UK shops! Cheers mate
The only reason i will buy a NITRO truck or buggy. The sound and the smell of that fumes. Haha. But good thing you have VRX racing Rc line up on your channel Try VRX-2E electric version with VRX-2 as the nitro version, and have a blast with it. Performance wise..so damn speedster especially on 4S.
Ohhh I’m so close to buying this… it’s the 2 speed baby that draws me to it lol 😊 (nitro gang) I have the ftx zorro single speed nitro and it’s a great truck but the after market 2 speed gear box and clutch bell isn’t playing the game atm… so I’m guessing it could be an issue on this as well ?? 🥴
Hey man I really need your help I just got this car and I was trying to get it to run but I mistake the idle needle for the low speed needle… and I don’t know what the factory setting is for the low speed needle so I was wondering if you could see what it is on your car thank you

You are very negative about nitro when you compare them to electric and didn’t give any positives about nitro. Yes it requires a lot more maintenance and messier but some people like to wrench on their cars. If you don’t care for nitro anymore which is the vibe I got from you, then you shouldn’t have agreed to review it.
Not negative to nitro at all? At 0:44 I even state they are special. Your the first person out of thousands who has taken it in a negative way but its the truth. They are noisy, messier, tuning is sometimes a pain and in general they are more of a specialised area of RC which frightens a lot of newcomers. I ran nitro for many years and was fully against brushed electric back then. We simply cannot deny the easy of electric these days and electric is almost always quicker than nitro making electric the go to for most these days. You are clearly a nitro die hard fan which is fine but times have changed unfortunately. Nitro was very popular years ago but we barely ever see new nitro models released these days unless I've missed them. I do like nitro and missed it which is why I said yes to review and if you watched the video I had nothing bad to say about the truck 🤣😉
@@beyondRC I have 5 electrics and 2 nitros. If someone isn’t educated properly on why things happen with nitros when they do certain things then they will be hesitant on purchasing a nitro. Example: you told us you just broke in the nitro and the needles are at a very rich state. You go to take off and it dies, instead of going “ahh and this is why people prefer electric” I would say you let sit for a long time idling in very rich state the engine will be flooded with fuel. At this time you can pick up the nitro and give a bit of throttle until the engine is cleaned out then put it down and slowly give it throttle. If it still dies, you may need to lean out the needles. Nitro will die if someone isn’t properly educated on them. I do watch a lot of you vids and this one just felt negative towards nitros is all I’m saying. Love electrics as much as nitros.
No worries and if I come across that way to you that was certainly not the intention. I'm by no means an expert on nitro or electric I just enjoy the hobby for what it is. Sometimes trial and error. Nitro has been around for years and I'm sure people will make up their own mind from watching lots of other channels not just mine. Some channels don't even mention the break in process (which I did) but I wont mention any names!! Could spend hours and hours and multiple vids on correct running of nitro but don't see the point as all those vids already exist. Do not buy this junk! Mine broke on the second run. The adjusting screw and spring on the second gear clutch flew out and broke the cog on the second gear gear and it will only stay in second gear and Banggood does not have a new transmission or parts. You will waste $250.00.
@Lee Glasspool not sure if you are saying really to me featuring a nitro? Nitro and Gas RC has been around for many years. I'm not a fan of electric day to day 1:1 cars! I'm a petrol head at heart and always will be. Electric can't replicate the sound, smell or feel of gas. I know eventually everyone will be in electric cars but I will be one of the last. 🤣👍😎
@@beyondRC i would say it be 50% in 20 years. All electric maybe my grandkids generation. Most people who live on a budget will be enticed by not paying for gas and government incentives imo 🤷

Cheap exhaust pipe on these are losing a lot of power! I put a quality exhaust pipe on one and it litterally doubled its power!
