You seem to be the only one making consistent digitakt/DIGITONE content these days and I greatly appreciate that. Keep the awesome elektron box content coming!
Hey! Thanks for making my tools more fun, expressive, to be inspired by, content. My digitakt is smiling ear to ear, excited to be played. This is an ad for, giving musical instruments spirits-
@@SlowHaste You're welcome 🙂 I'm comparing between the Syntakt, Octatrack and Digitakt... Was also the Machines drum too but no longer available new etc... Maybe the one I'll get later is one that's yet to be released, but I do like the look of the Elektron workflow and the depth of the step trigs etc
Thanks!! So I’m not actually sure what happened there, but I remember that first trig being a mistake that I kept cause I enjoyed it. I think I accidentally laid it down when I thought I was on another track? And ended up editing out the clip of the video including that. That’s my best guess for now lol
i bought an mpc one hoping to use it mostly for pretty straight forward drums and i hate it. well hate it a strong word there, but i'm not getting along with it at all, resulting in me hardly using it. Thinking of getting a digitakt because i lean into experimentation and really enjoy stumbling on happy accidents. Is the digitakt really as complex to learn as people say it is? you're pretty proficient with it.....did your knowledge of the digitakt come from just playing with it and having a good time? or did you have to sit down and read a manual and watch tutorials to figure out basic functions.
It definitely takes work! But if you’re familiar with sequencers and are ok with spending a couple of hours learning the interface, I don’t think you’ll have an issue :)
There definitely was a slight learning curve, especially if you’re new to sequencers. It’s helpful to read through the manual a little bit before starting to play with it, and then consulting the manual whenever you hit a block or encounter something you’re not sure how to do! I also offer lessons if you end up with one and wanted any assistance :)
@@ryanstevens283 not currently :(. I had a pretty bad knee injury earlier this year and had it repaired this summer, I’m still recovering from that - so I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus!

Thanks so much!! I’ve been taking a bit of a break from them recently but I know they deserve a bit more love, soon enough!

😊 thanks for watching!
Heck yes! Also congrats on that Distrokid bag! Love those dudes
Thanks Dylan!! Yes they’ve been very chill indeed 😊
Digitakt is so much fun, its also fun watching you play with yours!
😁 I’m glad you think so! I clearly had a good time hahah
absurdly so, some would say
Great video! 👌 very interesting and helping me chose which will be my best first groove box route in about a year
I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for watching

Such a fun groove
Thanks!
Great pattern and inspiring to follow you creating it! ;-)
Thanks for watching!
Your digitakt videos are really inspiring. makes me want to use my digitakt more.
That’s great to hear!
This track is really up in my alley. Reminds me a lot of the duo “Salamanda” which i have been listening a lot lately
Glad you’re into it - I’ll have to check them out!
This is just great!
Thanks Andy!
Lovely machine. Great video!
I wish digitakt had a Bandpass filter option
So do I!
Thanks!
Super fun to follow along.
Glad you enjoyed it 😎
Great Video. I don't own a Digitakt, but you have given me some ideas to do on the gear I do have. 👍
Awesome!! I’m glad this stuff can translate across hardware :)
I enjoy the rushed approach as well. I typically just have like 30 minutes or so and dont wanna fuss too much. Always satisfying with the DT and DN.
Yes exactly!! All in all, this was 26 minutes of filming before the edit, so a quick session fun-ly spent :)
Nice! What was the key combo at 10:43 that allowed you to begin record when you play the first note?

Thank you!!
Does the digitakt have keyboard folding like the syntakt ? Great music and tutorial 🎉
It does! I just… forgot to use it here hahah
@@SlowHaste good to know! I’m considering to buy one , I have an octatrack but keep running out of tracks for samples after master and thru tracks !
We need you to have a Digitakt ii how can we help?
@@el_dani hahah thanks! That’s a great question
This sounds really cool but I find it very hard to use. How long did it take you to learn to use it? (I don't own one, only thinking of it)

Punch the camera again, it had it coming.
You should’ve heard our fight last week when I forgot to clear my memory card before recording 🤧
We gotta plonker here! (I mean that in the best way btw) :)
Hahaha I do plonk from time to time!!
@@SlowHaste so do I and that's why the Digitakt is absurdly fun imho.
man i wish you had a Op1 Field 😂
Getting a 2?
No plans to as of now!
Any new videos on the way?

to me it just sounds like bleeps and farts, can it create a lusher richer sound?
Absolutely. It’s a sampler, so it can play back any sample you put into it. This was an exploration of a more experimental workflow
It is. But can you stop people over hyping the price on reverb please?! 😂
Hahah I’ll start my digitakt slander campaign later this year
@@SlowHaste could you start tomorrow? Around tea time?
@@LordoftheBadgers got it - tea time, on the dot 😆
what makes a man think that putting the text "ABSURDLY FUN" above a digitakt would be a good idea?
Lots of things, algorithmically
Oh for goodness sake. I sold my Digitakt foolishly. Now I have to rebuy it!
It’s never too late!
@@SlowHastenow is the perfect time to buy one
