  • Happy Friday Family!!
You were many who kindly gave your views on my last video about me being taken off of a retreat list by a Sisters Group. Your kindness and support overwhelmed me, thank you!! x
In this video, my childhood friend Bose, from our days in Lagos, Ayeki, Mummy A and Ms Louise give their views, they shed some light on the topic and generously give us their advice.
My prayer is for everyone who is struggling with whatever is stealing their peace, joy and contentment is that they find total healing from past hurt once they step foot on the Motherland.
The time to examine ourselves is now. When we know better, we must do better. Peace. x

Remember that some Ghananians also come to live in America. And some Americans come to live in Ghana. The only way to get to know each other is to meet each other halfway and come together. Just like this issue. You can talk about it here but it won't help. The solution is to meet with the ladies you have the issue with and sit and talk it over with them face to face and get to know each other. So simple and needed.

This is a helpful suggestion, Sis. Thank you! Maybe an opportunity to sit down and have a healthy discussion will present itself sometime soon. We need to get to the bottom of this. Stay blessed. 🤍

Let it be known and serve as a lesson to others. Before anyone else try to do similar things, they will remember sister Monique’s story.

I really enjoyed this conversation. I hope everyone learned from this. We have to know how to settle things, and not use hate to solve problems. Much love to all of you! Thank you!❤❤❤

my concern is how the idea of exclusion was accepted by the whole group. I am sure one person expressed it in the first place. how come nobody in the group stopped it in the bud but allowed it to flourish ? WHEN I HEAR OF ABUSE I ALWAYS ASK ABOUT THE BYSTANDERS. LETS DO BETTER AS BYSTANDERS. ABUSIVE IS ALL AROUND US EVERYDAY. ARE WE LOOKING ON UNCONCERNED ? Or we are speaking up for the voiceless.

Say it louder for the people at the back! I agree, the women who voted for exclusion were in agreement.

Mmh iam really listening good to these conversation.i hope God help us all . Let Ghana not turn into Liberia where African Americans felt superior and made the indigeneous African look inferior and that brought about the civil war . Between Charles Taylor and sergeant Doe.

I’m willing to sit down with my sisters to discuss, but will they be willing? It’s one thing plotting behind someone’s back and another facing them.

I believe they wanted just people that were sold into slavery. But still, what happens to them in Ghana is not only specially to them. It happens to all foreigners and locals as well. No one group is being experienced the same problems in Ghana it cuts across board. So with that in mind, I don’t understand the exclusion. Unless they want to segregate themselves which there’s no reason for them to be in Africa especially a developing country like Ghana when everyone needs to come together especially with the issues Ghana has. I understand wanting to be among people that come from the same circumstances and culture as you, but this is Retreat. Retreat requires people from different walks of life. You won’t make it in Ghana by being individualistic. Need connection!

Hello I’ve been following you on your discussion on the treatment that you received and that I am a Paul and saddened that they would do such a separation with you after inviting you that is so wrong you could’ve bought a rich value to their meeting and they choose to exclude you that is well

I'm sorry for the way you were excluded from this group of women and I believe that OUR people should ALL stand together. But please dont believe or label all African Americans to be the same. A lot of us African Americans feel like we are like children that have been stolen from our mother and as adults we want to return back to our mother.

    • @MoniqueTchimanga
      @MoniqueTchimanga  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thank you for your contribution Jay. It’s not in my nature to generalise a behaviour of a few people and blame the majority. I still have good friends that are African Americans. Most are appalled by what happened. The Motherland is ready to welcome her stolen children. My prayer is for anyone who is looking for answers or healing from past hurt, that they can find peace. 🙏🏿🙏🏿

Those ladies were wrong in every way, we can't sugar-coated, they are looking down on Africans period. They are coming to Ghana to build a mini America, they don't sound like that they have an interest in integrating in the culture.

I’m very surprised you would be treated this way because I thought diasporans were all people of African descent living outside Africa. So according to the definition, all of you in this video are diasporans. Unless the retreat was specifically for African American women and in that case they should have made it clear so other diasporan women know to avoid them. Anyway, Aunty Monique, please just leave it. It’s hurtful but please leave it. Everything works good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.

My question exactly. Why include me in a group where I did not qualify in the first place? Why wait until a week before the event to tell me? God bless. 🙏🏿🙏🏿
