Crazy how well Jon's compositions lend themselves to the classical realm. Kinda reinforces the idea that Jon was indeed a master composer and songwriter. Not many have achieved his level of skill and performance that catches the ear, captivates your senses, pulverizes with brutality and enchants with such beauty. Truly a master. Fantastic job. This needed to be done.

WDAL is what melts me too. Had to learn it on guitar after hearing this medley...never listened to Dissection before this.

The Somberlain is so epic on piano
I ordered Dissection's 'Storm of the Light's Bane' on CD back in 97' when i was 17. Sounds just as good as the day i first heard it.
Some of my favourite Dissection songs out there (actually some of my favourite songs overall). I'd love to listen to Where Dead Angels Lie full version, sounds mad! Respect.

Almost perfect! The only "weaker" interpretation of a song would have to be "The Somberlain"
The piano paints these songs in a completely different light, I kind of wish Jon didnt make the lyrics about satanism and all this other bs. Dissection would have been my favorite band most likely if that was the case, the musical talent is still undeniable though.
