A lot of dj's plays just tracks and without any soul in the tracks. This guy brings you on a flow/trip!! Building up your performance/sets like this takes a lot of expirience, dj-hours, music wise. Claptone isn't just playing tracks he touched your soul!! I love it and i enjoy every set of him. ⚡⚡
I agree that the unnecessary knob turning looks ridiculous but that's how the guy works and his music is dope. If he wants to comb his beard every minute through a 2 hours set - he can do so as long as the music is jammin'.
I'd never thought about that but you are right. His transitions are always on time at the beginning-ending of a track, not letting it before or after... and his live sets are meticulously prepared. His OCD is huge.

Love this, no idea why everyone is so overly concerned with what he may or may not be doing with his magical fingers. But that is beauty... Dude's Jackin' it! Smooth transitions, so much going on but it flows like water, like a river, but with a plethora of tributaries, just flowing in and out, as they would naturally, but his fluid fingers made it seamlessly complex. I THINK PINK FLOYD MONEY around 19:00 would sneak in so perfectly... Just the Money... It's a gas... Maybe a bit of the cash register. Could be pretty sick, lyrics match and bpm is perfect... I have bought a few Claptone tracks and enjoy his productions but seriously move your hands around if you're doing something, otherwise do as everyone else and let it roll and enjoy until you deem it time to actually use the mixer

It´s less the DJ then more a leading fault to the crowd imo... as DJ you feel lazy these days if u are just mixing perfect two tunes. watch all the dj hammering every effect knob every second or the edm "dj´s" who are jumping arround like a circus clown or the latpto guys who fiddling all the knobs the controler gave them and noone knows what he is actually do... the classic dj who mix mostly harmonic and blend smooth is nothing a crowd enjoy any longer, beside the real heads who think anything beside vinyl and rotary or a xone 92 is a fuckin fake dj... the ppl get what they want and the dj try to get clean with it and... get caught on tape. ;D

Y'all complaining about him constantly touching knobs, but let's face it: would you really notice that if you were listening to the audio only on, let's say, SoundCloud? That's what I thought. Some people are a bit more comfortable riding a bike if they are holding the steering wheel all the time.
I agree, but if he were recording a set strictly for soundcloud, do you think he would be touching the knobs as much? Most likely not, which is why the DJ community (Dj sounds crowd) is shunning him. Part of coming on to this show is to display your mixing style and clearly, he mixes every track with outro-to-intro which requires minimal knob touching. I've seen him live as well, and his set is always repetitive and deceptive. I appreciate his music to the max because he is a talented producer but the biggest issue we DJ's find here is his sneaky display of "mixing" Hope you don't take offense to this comment and instead look at it as some insight into our opinions.
