This game is a giant shitpost. It’s basically a boss rush with some of the best one-liners and somehow deep moral themes in gaming history. And it’s fucking awesome.

I watched as someone hid in a barrel, tipped over and roll out of the way as monsoon threw large objects.
To clear something up (since no-one seems to know it) is that meme in the game is referring to the old definition. Which is basically, an infectious idea.
I mean, technically memes still abide by the original definition. They're just more focused on absurdity and/or humor instead of it being any type of idea when it comes to the definition of memes.
That original definition was made by Richard Dawkins, am I correct? Imagine how he feels about the meaning of his word being twisted to mean stupid internet jokes...
The Monsoon dialogue about memes was actually in the game. I'm serious. Humanity is doomed.

@@markamanic sorta, it is in its simplest terms its pack mentality, I.E. beliefs, religion and culture like for example take a look at Japanese culture and society, then look at modern japans work ethic, then look at past imperial japan's work ethic, very little has changed its tech and method of governing that has changed, but the true definition of memes can be found by looking at the past then now

The whole next level after the Monsoon fight Max0r runs through a whole level with the mariachi costume when he streamed it. I cannot wait for part 2.
As for MGS games, this is NOTHING like an MGS game. It is more like Hideo Kojima decided to put Raiden specifically, Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden into Top Gear’s V8 engine-powered blender and out came this ridiculous masterpiece.

You can parry metal gear ray's tail swipe and cut its tail off, which I think is canon, since raiden doesn't cut further down than the point he cuts the tail when he kills ray
then again there's really no need for it, the weight of each half of Ray would simply split the tail in half by itself

Something to mention about MetalGear, yes it talks about memes in MGS2 and here, but it isn’t talking about internet memes, it’s talking about memes as they were described in the Selfish Gene, in which a meme is essentially the genes of a culture.

Just a little tid bit: Metal Gear is the name of a series of bipedal tanks that are capable of Nuclear launch, wich is the main plotpoint of the first 2 Metal Gear Solid. Metal Gear Ray, the "tutorial boss", is the amphibious Ant-Metal Gear ibuilt to combat these tanks, and is featured in the 2nd game. In that game, you fight THREE at a time out of a maximum of TWENTY FIVE RAYs(on extreme difficulty)

Monsoon was easy, basically there are parts where you just parry non stop and areas where you go complete apeshit on his ass and deal alot of damage
Just a bit sad that he never played a Metal Gear game before, so he couldn't appreciate that the tutorial boss was literally the _final_ boss of a previous game in the series, a Metal Gear (giant nuclear robot) designed to hunt _other_ Metal Gears that were also previous final bosses iirc. Like, Metal Gears are arguably one the biggest (albeit inanimate) antagonist of the series (alongside the military-industrial complex) and literally are the namesake of the entire franchise. _And it's the tutorial boss._

I never understand Reaction TH-camrs, steal footage/ pick a video that’s trending or has a mass following, show your face in the corner or stop the video and talk about it or talk over the actual content, feel you’ve created original content and profit?
You want me to be honest? I've never understood why people watch it. Don't get me wrong... I understand your take and there are some parts that I agree with. However what no one ever calls out is the people who consume the content. It's like blaming Video Games for Gun Violence! I recently did a poll in my community tab and people ACTUALLY search up reaction content and like getting peoples reactions or comments about the video they are watching. Reaction content has been HUGE in Japan for YEARS and it's nothing really new.
I try my best to add some form of narration or my own take away from the video and while I'm not perfect, I'm trying.
Max knows that I've reacted to his content and he's even commented one of my videos and while I have made some profit, there are tools on TH-cam he can utilize to share the profit or even take it away completely, neither of which he has done.
