I was told to keep sharing my story, so here it is again! This song saved my life. I was in a dark place and fate made this appear as a suggestion for me to watch. I hadn't sobbed that hard in a while. Dan made me feel less alone in this world and that I'm not alone in trying our best everyday as flawed human beings. I'm not religious, but it felt like God hugged my heart. I hope someday he happens upon one of my comments. If he does, I want him to know how thankful I am for him. As Dan says, have an epic day!

My favorite Dan Vasc song is whatever I am listening to at the time. My suggestions would be Bring Me To Life or Kiss from a Rose. Your reaction is pretty much what everyone's is when first hearing him sing Amazing Grace... mouth hanging open.... heart palpitations...etc. etc. Powerful voice!

There are songs from his metal album with his band Fearless that are wonderful. He has over 200 songs recorded, everything from metal to opera, to covers of Journey, Bon Jovi, etc. His cover of the Witcher TV series music is awesome. His most unique is Disney's Mulan song I'll Make a Man Out of You. For pure beautiful singing, Dawn Over a New World by Dragonforce is sublime. I could go on and on. Now, I really LOVE Peter Hollens and Tim Foust's WONDERFUL version of the song, as well (with a tremendous ending), and I've heard probably thousands of other people sing the song, as well as having sung it myself myriads of times (both solo and in choirs), BUT...I will listen to Dan's version (modeled basically on Disturbed's version), FIRST, MIDDLE, AND LAST, now that I've heard him sing it. Yep, I, too, met Dan Vasc's voice through this song in June. He is truly amazing. Just phenomenal. He's probably one of the best vocalists on the planet, if not THE best. Dan feels every song and so do we. He doesn't just sing, he thoroughly performs the meaning of the words. His covers are as good or better than the originals. You will love his voice in everything he does. Check out his duet with Violet Orlandi on "Kiss From a Rose." It's breathtaking. His duet with Fabio Leone on "Dawn of Victory" showcases Dan's band, Fearless. Yes, I've subbed to your channel. Great reaction! I'm excited to watch you react to many more of his songs! Dan Vasc has one of the best and most versatile voices ever. He can sing any genre. Check out his rich powerful opera voice in his cover of Nessun Dorma. His pop voice in Kiss From a Rose (Seal), his rock voice in Immigrant Song (Led Zeppelin), his insanely good metal voice/scream in Burn Butcher Burn, and his Broadway voice in I’ll Make a Man out of You. I’m usually a bigger fan of female singers - but this guy is an exception. Dan’s voice is simply one of the most emotive, powerful, and versatile voices I’ve ever heard. I hear he’s worked quite a lot to develop his voice, and I believe it.

Chills to the max! He is phenominal. He is Brazilian and I believe he is a Christian as well. You can definitely feel his passion as he sings. I believe his group is it was Feerless. He does covers for other songs now. Well done seems so lukewarm. He is amazing!😊
You said it. heartfelt and emotional; he put his soul into this didn't he. He starts out just him and Who he is singing to; very respectful. I've been known to cry listening to this; I still can get chills listening to it and I have heard it nearly every day for at least 4 months. This is the best version of this song I will ever hear. When he pulls out all the stops he pours the message of this song straight into your heart and it feels like you are as close to him as that microphone. Literally everything he does in this song/video is on purpose. Every vibrato, every time his voice has rasp, every change in vocal dynamics, when he sings with his eyes closed, everything is on purpose. He has stated he is a Christian and put this out for Easter.
My interest in music had gone dormant and I was never a metal fan. The canned music the industry puts out seldom touched me and I preferred silence most of the time. I thought this dude would ruin my favorite hymn when I saw it come up on You Tube. I was crying at the end. This 33 year-old metal singer from Brazil has renewed my love of music and given me a strong appreciation for a whole genre of music I had no interest in. He has well over 200 videos out there on You Tube in a lot of different genres. I see several excellent recommendations in your chat and endorse them all. He is rightfully proud of his, as well as others' impact on the music industry. "If [I] ... from a third world country can do it from my garage you can too," is his message. Very inspiring and so awesome that you referred to that movement as well.

Loved your reaction.... lots of very intelligent descriptive words and phrases! Dan sings with so much power, emotion, and control. He makes his covers (240 +/-) so good, AND in doing so, makes them his own, and many, many songs (in ALL genres) are better than the originals. He is just incredible! Reactors get chills, goosebumps, tears, weep openly, have various levels of astonishment, and generally, are just blown away by his performance! He does all the arrangements for his performances. His GARAGE is where he films. a
Dan is one of those guys that can do it all and make it sound awesome. Sound of Silence , Phantom of the Opera , Bon Jovi, Evanescence's bring me to life, hell even Disney songs.

Dan took a familiar hymn and took you on the faith journey of a new believer through the tentative newbie growing and trusting in the promise, to the power of transitioning from Believer into a Knower of His promises kept. He portrays this transition through pitch, volume, body language and the power of conviction he imbues the lyrics with. The repetition of the first verse, but delivered through the lens of a Knower's dynamic turns this age old hymn into a victory anthem. He obviously approached this song with the intent of doing it full justice. I have also heard that this was his late father's favorite hymn, which may explain the wealth of conviction with powerful emotion that runs throughout this performance. The strength of the final words bears repeating in capital letters to emphasize the change from Believer to Knower, "was blind but NOW I SEE". Beautiful voice, gripping presentation, goose bump inducing finale. Dan is an amazing performer who puts every part of his talent into his amazing offerings and leaves nothing behind.

React to his genius performance of Gethsemane - the best version I've ever seen. Also Handel's Messiah, Bring Me to Life, Nessun Dorma, My Mother Told Me, I Want It All, Sleeping Sun, so many great covers - all so good. He took lessons then taught a while. He worked really hard to get to his phenomenal self. He records from his garage studio and does his own mixing and can sing opera just as impressively as heavy metal. A true talent. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Vasc rabbithole, that has a Vasc catalogue. He sings like angels, he looks like a cover guy for Harlequin, he produces is own music, and he has perfect posture. That, and He'll make a man out of Mulan, Disney Metal, incredible. Other than that, I'm not sure what the fuss is about. His metal band is called Fearless, and rumour has it that their second album is about to drop. He has more that 200 covers, and I have yet to hear a meh song in the bunch.

Eric, I recently saw Dan on a podcast. He said the 2nd album is written, but it's on the back burner since they're all doing solo projects right now.He's working on his Manowar cover album first. (Just FYI.) 😊

LOVED your reaction - like mine, but at 11! The first thing I said watching this performance originally: “What the hell does metal have to do with a 250 year-old hymn??? Absolutely EVERYTHING.” There have been many outstanding versions, but deep inside I think this is how it was always supposed to sound.

Dan is an amazing singer with an awesome amount of control and power in his voice...Amazing Grace is my favourite song from him but then I like Burn Butcher Burn, Toss a Coin to the witcher, song of the white wolf, Always.
