It's your opinion, and my opinion is that it brings back that A Link to the Past experience quite well while bringing something new, because it was not meant to be a straight up remake and people don't really want the exact same thing over and over, now do they? Yeah, it wasn't on a home console, but is that really a reason to rag on a game in general? If it does it well on a handheld then... it does well on a handheld.
electricmastro I loved a Link Between Worlds. It didn't feel as epic as the original, but it still felt great and somewhat refreshing. Much better than the DS-Zeldas.
DS Zeldas were the worst next to Zelda 2. Spirit Tracks is definitely the worst Zelda game of all time.

I feel like Alpha and Mike should make some sort of series together. They have good chemistry, and both know tons about games. And with Mikes artistic side combined with Alphas boisterous, loud and crazy metal loving personality, it might be pretty fucking awesome.

Interesting that I had a big library of NES games too, probably around 50 and I sold them all to get my Sega Genesis... then regretting it years later, I slowly rebuilt most of my NES library.

I did. I was young and stupid, didnt realize how much I would miss these classic games eventually. I took a massive lost, ended up losing my NES, zapper, carrying case and 50 games with game genie all for just a Sega Genesis with 2 games (Mortal Kombat and X-men) it didn't affect me too much around then but later on I wish I had just found a better way of getting the Genesis and keeping my NES and all the stuff I had for it.
Talking about the digitized speech in NES, I think the best one can be heard in S.C.A.T. (or Action in New York) - it's amazing how clear the voice is. "You must destroy them..." That game has also one of the coolest sounds (and music) in my opinion as well.
AlphaOmegaSin... he keeps appearing a lot in my recommendations. He seems like a fun guy, maybe I should check him out. =) Anyway, your room is beast, Mike!

I'm glad I never threw away the boxes for any of my games. The art on it is so cool even the manuals had good artwork. I remember a friend offered me $100 for my Kid Icarus, Mega Man 6 and Chip & Dale NES boxes. It surprised me that ppl threw them away, they keep your games clean in addition to the sleeves.
These "casual education" videos of just randomly picking up a game/toy and talking about it is pretty rad. I hope that maybe James and Mike can visit someone elses collection and do the same. Between the knowledge you guys have, it would make a great format for a TV show!

You can kinda tell where games got to be truly awesome, because most of the video was spent in front of the super nintendo games! FF3 epic and earthbound, amazing games, to this day still enjoy playing them both. Thanks for the entertaining video, party on guys!

Honestly, this is a collab I didn't expect, but it totally makes sense! Awesome tour! You two make an great combo. More collabs please!
As far as trading goes, I traded my Mega Man 3 Nintendo Power for RC Pro Am, and eventually RC Pro Am for Dragon Warrior with the guide, and I traded the guide for something, but I don't remember what. I still have that copy of Dragon Warrior. My Dad put a kabash to my game trading, so moved on to trading GI Joes, Lego, and Ninja Turtles.

Ugh, I know that feel regarding the NES trade in for the SNES. I traded my NES and all its games for the PS1 back in the day. Worst decision I can ever remember making. I had some fantastic stuff, including Megaman 6 and Kirby's Adventure, two of my favorite games EVER.

Mike always does the most interesting videos. He brings up subjects that James usually does not touch. Regarding AOS's choice of Final Fantasy games, I would say that FF7, FF6, FF5 and FF4 are the best Final Fantasy games ever made. After FF8, which was average, they sort of went downhill fast. They haven't made a good game since FF8. Of course, other gems have been created since 1998 like Dragon Quest 8, Dark Cloud 2, Rogue Galaxy, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Graces, Tales of Xillia 1/2, and PS2 frankly has the best RPG library ever made. SNES is a close second.
