Morning, thank you for the knife talk and a cup of coffee, I am a retired butcher and knife collector , I live in New Zealand and enjoy watching your film clips.
First I want to say, it is very hard to beat the quality of the old USA made knives.
In my collection I have a early Boker sheath Knife, a number of early Western sheath knives, Case Puma, Camilus, etc etc.
I do repair a few old butcher carbon steel bladed knives, I was trained at the age of 16 years of how to sharpen my knives only on a flat stone. I still do it today, never on a grinder.
I like large folders the best Winchester, Case, etc .

Keep meaning to tell you this. The notch cut into the back edge of the blade is called a “nail nick”. The strike nail nick is dual purpose and works well with safety matches. Really enjoyed your pallet cabinet video. You should do more of them. 👍

That "cabin coffee" looks pretty good. My Dad,who has been gone for 50 years now, used to keep a metal coffee can for making what he called "trotline" coffee. He kept that can on the back burner right up until the day he passed. Thanks for sharing your morning.

Doc, something cool about that Leatherman, the tools are held in by magnet. Just roll the middle of inside of thumb over the opening ridges and they slide open easily without getting the fingernail involved.

I gotta get me an Esee, I really like the Laser Strike but I also like the 3HM with Kydex sheath. It looks like a great edc fixed blade and is much thinner than the 4HM .
Thats on my must own knife list ....an Esee, Becker BK10 and LT Wright Genesis.
Once I get those three knives I will be complete....Oh and that Openel #8 cause I had no idea they had a spoon and fork kit 😁 thats AWESOME .
Thanks for sharing , and nice sheath work 👍
