Great little kit!. I was lucky enough to have one when I rolled up on an accident un the middle of nowhere and successfully treated 2 oeople while my wife went for help(no cell coverage). Just ordered the replacement kit. And I have one in all 4 cars of tge family. I was a medic for 15 years and have never seen this much quality in a kit so small. Absolutely the only kit you need.
Awesome, I'm new to the preparedness stuff. About to make a drive from TN to CO and wanted to make sure I had a medkit. I was going to look at other videos of other kits but not after reading this comment haha thanks Joe.
This is a must , especially if you’re going on a trip more than 6-8 hours . You never know, everything is great and all the sudden bad weather, car breaks down, crazy other drivers, blocked roads . Be prepared. I made one and thought I would never use it. One day , I got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic For 12 plus hours. It’s good to have water , blanket too . Extra chargers
Nice video My Lady is and my Mother was a nurse so I let them make up kits for my truck and boat They used a back packs that were $10 each at Walmart They included scalpels , small roll of 2" and 3" wide duct tape and Para Cord Hand warmers , a tracheostomy tube , all the bandages and everything you showed I added a Army manual on emergency first aid , meds and water There was extra room , so a small roll of TP and paper towels was added The back pack fits under the rear seat in the truck , so it is always there OH a lot of stuff can be gotten at a Farm Supply store as they sell it for livestock
This is a very good kit. I do have a recommendation or two 1) I don't know which pack they are using but I but I would recommend upgrading to a Vanquest Fat Pàck 10. Then you would have room for a full size 4 x 36 SAM splint. You would also have for a roll of Coban or Ace bandages to secure it. 2) Triangular bandages should always carried in pairs. Many Triangular bandaging techniques require 2 bandages. EX: a sling works best when you secure it with a swathe. 3) A 4 x 4 burn dressing would be a good item to add. 4) Last but not least, and I know this may sound silly, if you are travelling with female, you may want to carry a couple of feminine napkins. This could save everyone some embarrassment as well as provide extra bleeding control.
That's a great kit. I keep an ifak in my range bag that stays in my truck and a more advanced kit in my get home pack also always in the truck. This kit has enough to cover the bases in one kit. Thanks OG!
Ended up using my Israeli bandage a few weeks ago. A guy got a gushing head bleed when he decided to be Arnold Schwarzenegger and speer another guy through a window at karaoke. I guess that'll teach him to not sing out of key lol 😜 Paramedics showed up & started unloading their bleed kits, i gave them the packaging for the Israeli bandage & they then put the kits away lol. Great times in a small town 😁👍
Excellent video again from OG and top piece of kit. Emergency First Aid is a life saver and this kit looks like it will certainly aid in this. OG tells you what you need to know in a way that means you've learned without too much effort. Well done OG and Happy Trails
Hey OG just this past Tuesday My buddy Shawn witnessed a near fatal MC accident. Long story short the rider lost his lower left leg. Shawn used a belt as a TQ, and saved the riders life. He also found the riders leg. The man is alive, but the leg was too damaged to be saved. TQs save lives.
As a trained First Aider , I can vouch for the validity of having a decent First Aid kit to hand when one is needed , not only is it of great benefit to those assisting an injured individual , it can also help to reassure the often traumatised patient ,which is never a bad thing . Ointments , salves and medicines of any description are not usually a part of a first aid kit in the UK and are not part of First Aid training , such things are usually left for a doctor to prescribe . I have My own supplementary kit which I add to My bag when traveling , this includes cough & sore throat lozenges Clove oil & cotton buds (for toothache) aspirins ( good for stroke / heart attack victims ) and savlon for minor cuts & grazes , I also add Antihistamine tablets and a couple of packets of dextrose tablets which can help with fatigue levels of the First aider and also when people are hyperthermic . But without a doubt the Most Valuable Asset I have whilst out & about is the Training, I have had over several decades of being a first aider . I encourage Everyone to do at least a basic First Aid course , you never know it might just save the life of one of Your loved ones . Thanks OG , great advice as always , catch You next episode . Great stuff as always Greg. This is the perfect kit to give to my wife, and I totally understand why you'd give the girls one for each of their cars. Thanks for sharing 🤙🏽
I would also add a cheap watch to the outside of the kit, to compliment the tourniquet, you may not be wearing a watch, and be using your phone for calling emergency services at the time, so having a back up is real life & limb saver, maybe also a pair of tweezers for splinters, often forgotten, and a head torch, accidents aren't a daytime event.
@@OGsDangerShow I have some family on Kauai. I swear, Gregg, you better come hang out one of these days. It really is good to know you retired and are going and doing what you want. Like I said, any friend of yours automatically is a friend of mine. Take it easy out there, bud. 🤙🏽
Looks like a decent med kit. Not only you were able to close it back but I think it got enough room for some extra personal additions like pill blister or simple bandage. And of course training is everything. But even without a training, it's better to have some medical supplies than none.
Best kit that I have seen. Only item that needs upgrade are the shears. Spend the 50 bucks and get a good pair and you will have a great kit. You would be hard pressed to assemble a. Comparable kit at this price point
I have the windows punch/ seat belt cutters hanging on my visor so in the event of an accident or where I roll my truck I have access to it if needed. Sam splints can also be cut down in size with the trauma sheers if need be. This kit looks solid!
That's why First Aid and CPR certification comes in hand , people who are trained in it such as myself know how to use all of that without needing to read a guide. Never do something on someone else if you're not sure on what to do always get help from a qualified individual or get trained in First Aid and CPR.
Hey Gregg, again it was great seeing you at my home this week. I have a very similiar plastic med kit in my car, I have some quick clot in there and I found out last week that the band aids in there are shot. They crumble apart and stick to everything. Such as life. I should get a med kit for me, since i have bleeding issues. Great work as always and take care.
Looks very nice, unfortunately I'm still looking more in the $3 price range but I'm sure I would enjoy owning one if I could afford it. Thanks for the video.
i love how different the kits are in the EU and the US. here we have more bandages and less "specialized" stuff. also nearly no plastic vacuumpackaging. everything is in paper. the one thing i wish would be normal here as well, is the "CPR mask", which is a great tool. was finally introduced as a part of the curriculum in the bi-yearly, mandatory first aid course, sadly it is still not mandatory as per law.

funny story ... was driving cross country when we pulled over in the middle of the desert to look a t a map at like 2am. so weird out west in the middle of the desert, you can see head lights coming at you from miles away, but when they turn in a direction, all of a sudden they just blink out of sight. well i guess these police like using that tactic and turned off their lights miles away, drove past us on the highway with light out came around us, flashed ALL their fkn lights on us at once from behind and scared the living bejesus out of us. then came out with their shotguns and weren't too nice about the whole situation ...kinda funny how, "its up to you" because "no one is coming" but only when you need one ...
I was setting at a stoplight back last spring and a car was setting waiting on the light to change and a black Chevy four wheel drive busted the car behind. The Chevy truck went across the road and stopped the guy was knocked out and we couldn’t get him awake he’d been dranking he hit his head hard on the steering wheel. We finally busted the back passenger glass out it was a four door truck. It took 10 minutes to find something to bust the glass out I seen the yellow thing on your first aid kit and how they bust the glass easy I ordered two of them and got one on my key chain
I always use old 6 pack cooler 2 carry my boo, boo supplies. But this would be a great thing 2 have around. Really we should carry this in are cars and trucks.

I've always assembled those kits myself because the "all in one" store bought are a complete joke! This thing on the other hand is amazing, they thought of almost everything that can happen to you. That kit is assembled by a paramedic with additional army/police training for sure! I would add a few things just in case - epi/steroid injection just in case, stethoscope, surgical glue(crazy glue will do also) ,peroxide and alcohol (for external use only) . Another great video OG!
I missed the part where it is water proof. Looks like a great kit. Not sure about the safety light stick! There has to be something better that a 1 time use light stick. There are some products that are lightweight and can stitch open wounds and stuff for severe wounds.

We’re headed to Mountain Home to buy a dog pretty soon. We actually landed in McCall, two hours north of Boise. Love it up there. Glad to see that you are prepared and have set your family up as well. As a guy who drove a patrol car for almost 24 years, I can tell you that having a fully equipped emergency kit, proactive AND reactive, is about as important as it gets.
Good video, OG! 👍 The Readiness Is All kit looks to be the Real Deal! What is NOT the real deal is referring to NORTH IDAHO as Northern Idaho. That's the one with a SOF-T or two, some chest bandages, and other stuff for major injuries. The kind that will kill you if you don't do something about them.
That looks like a pretty good first aid setup. Unfortunately, I don't believe that it would've been much help for that piece of pork you shot up in the last video, but even in that scenario, you could've utilized the "fatal" blanket.
I'm not very pretty, have a beard with to much gray but am still a groupie if you ever want me to take you to lunch! popo medic has some great first aid tips also and it's great you guys are educating people!
Rescue breaths? We are doing those again? Last CPR class I took a few years ago they said that was no longer a thing. Instead just keep up on compressions.
where do you think the best place to keep this in your car would be? Of course you wouldn't want it to inaccessible in the event that you crash and there is body damage to your vehicle.
I keep mine behind the back seat of my truck in the hollow cargo space. Easily accessible and stil locked away from view and not rattling around the cab.
Keep it in a location where it's easily accessible within reach such as between the rear seats up against the center console and attached to something so it doesn't move around and get lost or become a projectile during a wreck or attach it to the back of the driver or passenger seat , or to make it even more accessible you can mount it directly on top of the center console with small bungee cables so anyone in the vehicle can quickly access it in a hurry.
Great little kit!. I was lucky enough to have one when I rolled up on an accident un the middle of nowhere and successfully treated 2 oeople while my wife went for help(no cell coverage). Goin through Grand Junction. Nice.
Great video!!! I have the same long gun bag…love it!!!
Thanks for checking it out, Eric. 🤘😎

THANKS A LOT GREGG FOR THE INFORMATION KEEP SAFE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AGAIN THANKS FOR SERVING OUR PEOPLE
Needs a basic instruction booklet.
Nice kit. Love your sense of humor! (Unibrow tweazers!)
That looks like a pretty good first aid setup. Unfortunately, I don't believe that it would've been much help for that piece of pork you shot up in the last video, but even in that scenario, you could've utilized the "fatal" blanket.
I've never seen the back of your truck that clean before!😂
Only because I’m on a road trip! 😂
Great video OG
A lot of good stuff in that little bag......Thanks Gregg.....As always stay safe out there my friend.....
Old Shoe🇺🇸

Nice video, I still need revive though :(
Now what AFAK gets the OG seal of approval?
Rescue breaths? We are doing those again? Last CPR class I took a few years ago they said that was no longer a thing. Instead just keep up on compressions.
where do you think the best place to keep this in your car would be? Of course you wouldn't want it to inaccessible in the event that you crash and there is body damage to your vehicle.
I keep mine behind the back seat of my truck in the hollow cargo space. Easily accessible and stil locked away from view and not rattling around the cab.
Keep it in a location where it's easily accessible within reach such as between the rear seats up against the center console and attached to something so it doesn't move around and get lost or become a projectile during a wreck or attach it to the back of the driver or passenger seat , or to make it even more accessible you can mount it directly on top of the center console with small bungee cables so anyone in the vehicle can quickly access it in a hurry.
love the kit wow to the cost ...
That's a good kit.
Love it man make a dew of them
Thanks OG
lol, i have the exact same j&j first aid kit in my car and i'm looking for an upgrade
Great Kit! Do they ship worldwide?
Yes. Mom and pop company so they’ll ship anywhere.
