Codemasters aren't even making that game. The problem is that servers cost money and if not enough people are buying the game to justify them staying turned on then Codemasters will switch them off.
Go on 1:55 (as an example) and when the fielder is running to get the ball, the Select End indicator appears on the lower right hand side. This shows which ends the bats men are/running to, and which ends are empty. Use the right stick to select end (try to select and end that is empty) and the fielder will throw the ball to that selected end. If there is no fielder at your selected end, or a batsmen is running to that end when the ball is thrown to the wicket-keeper, the wicket-keeper will automatically attempt to run him out, and the umpire will make his decision (sometimes, the umpire may request the 3rd umpire).

Not enough people playing it. And Codemasters/505 Games split up. May be some conflict there. Not so sure.

Test Matches didn't last long at all, either the servers dropped out or people would go the smash and go out.
They took down the servers, i cannot play online anymore either.
