Leather worker here: I wouldn't call this a restoration. You simply applied moisture to the other leather 😅 which made the dry leather vibrant. From what I can see, the bottom corner is the main part that requires repair. I would have unstiched the bag, separate each part, first try to iron the flesh/suede inside of the veg tan leather to see it those unnatural creases/wrinkles could be smoothen out. If not, I would have use a second technique of actually drowning that part in lukewarm water and laying it flat with weights; in doing so, it will smooth out the leather. If that failed, since this is basically aged veg tanned leather, I would be open to the idea of recreating and trying to match the leather colour best I could both brown dye. Although, some people prefer original parts in repair. And of course saddle stitch it back together. Otherwise, that's a lovely bag! I just wouldn't title this video as a restoration 😅
Copying a bag design is not illegal, but only if the seller is trying to sell it for the original price. The knockoff bag I bought at lvguu was only $189. I am very satisfied

If it needed to have dye applied, at what point would you have dyed it - before or after the neatsfoot oil?
Thank you,
Do you treat the interior side at all?
