Few years ago, I watched a movie called "the old capital" (旧都. released in 2016 I think), I was very impressed by it's cinematography from the first minutes. It does a great job in depicting Kyoto's traditional architectures, natural sceneries and people's life. The storyline was very great too.

It truly is like being taunted: not by what is sublime as CS Lewis said but by that which we're made to think is sublime. It feels very made to purpose that I observe the above with heightened regard. It is by that which I can like it that I find it amusing not by it itself. A very clever matrix.
