I once deleted our server world. Worst feeling ever - basically had a fever. Ever since we do proper backups including off-site backups. Really confused as to why such a large company doesn't have an eye on that.
@@nnnik3595 it's because the server is owned by Finana. iirc they set up the entire thing themselves. also, generally Niji leaves their streamers to their own devices, so whatever blunders they make is a problem they ended up making and need to solve on their own.
She literally said in tweeter which I can only paraphrase because I forgor: "I came back from break and I don't have a house (in minecraft) anymore. I will never take a break again XD" or something similar LMAO
It's like a natural disaster came in and half of the world has been wiped out so everyone is having a disaster recovery by rebuilding their home and farm. Absolute legend, at least they have some story to share in the future HAHA. It became a history to look back on. Ahhh love nijisanji en!
So glad that they got their material farms back! Definitely think that that was one of the places that were most heart-breaking to lose. Also it's funny looking back to see that Selen gone through the five stages of grief before realising that she didn't need to go through so much of it(?) or too soon.. Glad everyone is taking it alright in their own ways, and we can all look forward to multiple POV of the rebuilding this week!! yeah!!
Oh yeah I was wondering the same thing, since with MC world edit you can save a selected space and its data and just load that data in, almost like a prefab asset for a video game.

Imagine what the in-universe lore explanation for the cataclysm could be. Somehow in getting lost in a haunted building a Mafia Boss and a Dragon Girl wiped a town from existence
The latest backup had a specific chunk get corrupted, the backup they're copying things over from is from May. So what they're doing is transferring what they can from what was in that chunk in May, as opposed to losing everything outside that chunk if they just used the May backup. This means that the only things lost are what was built during the time between backups in that specific chunk. Which is still a lot, but not as much as it could have been.

Honestly glad they found a solution of sorts. I had quit games for simpler mistakes, like losing a day's progress for saving the wrong slot.
