I think you should simplify all your arrangements of songs recorded through the years for new thumb only guitar books. I promise to buy all your thumb only books.
Rick, I'm sorry to hear about your hand issues, but I'm glad you're still employing the gifts you've been entrusted with. I'm also happy to have the opportunity to thank you for your arrangements. Back in the late 1990's, after having started a career and a marriage, I had let my classical guitar skills 'backslide' and lay dormant for most of a decade. The new music director at my church found out that I played in college, and coaxed and cajoled me into working up an offertory piece. The ONLY thing I could find was a copy of "Favorite Hymns for Acoustic Guitar," with an accompanying cassette tape. It was EXACTLY what I needed. I've since added other books to my collection, including your other publications, and have performed your arrangements hundreds of times, during church services, weddings, and even a funeral. Thank you, and bless you. It is not always given to us to know what effect our endeavors may have on others, but I'm glad to let you know about the joy and encouragement you have helped 'foster' (pun intended) in my little corner of the Arizona desert. I suspect there are many like me across the world. I'll be praying for you.
