    I had the same issue with my petunias this year. It is definitely interesting about the different weather patterns and the effect on plants and pests! Now I know it was not just me. Thank you for sharing!

    Our daughter lived in Peoria for a couple of years. I would never have believed a garden as wonderful as yours would be possible. But, I suppose with enough love and care it is possible. Thank you for sharing.

    LOVE everything about your garden!!!! I love the chickens get all the yummies! Do the neighbors mind the chickens? I want to get ducks when we move to our land, but wonder what neighbors will think? It's 10 acres, so not close to them, but ducks make alot of noise when hungry :) ENPERIENCE!!!! LOL

      Many of my neighbors also have chickens. I don't have any roosters so other than announcing when they lay an egg (or when I'm trying to film a video...) the chickens aren't too loud.

    Thank you for doing this video! Your flowers inspire me since I normally won't grow flowers unless I can eat them (lol) but it adds so much to a garden. Pulled out 3 spiky cactus in my zone 10 yard, only one big one to go. Ready to try more flower gardening along with the ongoing veggies.

    Here in SE Idaho, we're barely working our beds, now that the snow has melted. We had 30° last night here in Zone 5. Typically, we aim for May 30th for planting all of our seedlings.

      @@GrowingInTheGarden yeah already hit mid 90s yesterday and again today here in SoCal. then our lows sunday night projected to be 50* and 51* monday night. 40* swing in a span of a day and a half, we'll see what survives.

    So beautiful with the lights on💖 Thank you for the seed saving instruction. I’m trying to save some Pansy seeds and I never know quite when to pick them. I picked one the other day. It had a big green ball where the flower was. I brought it in and just put it on a paper towel. Within two days it had dried and popped open, kind of ejecting a couple of tiny seeds out 😮

    You're so lucky to be able to grow artichokes! I'm in 5B so they would have to be an annual and I've shied away from that, being that so many other things must also be planted annually. I considered seeing if they would overwinter until this winter... when it got very cold for an extended period of time. I just don't think they'll make it.

    Hey Angela, do you know how to get rid of grubs in the beds? They are eating the roots of my plants and killing them.

    Enjoyed the video. I just discovered very early stages of powdery mildew on my 4 tomato plants In my garden, do you have any recommendations for a spray to treat the plant after I prune off some effected leaves? I’ve been reading up on neem oil and a milk/water solution.

    I am in Vegas and I thought we have the same weather climate. Your garden is always ahead and full grown. When do you start all these? Winter is cold so it’s hard to plant for spring.

      I lived in Vegas for a while. You get colder there in the winter than we do. Many of the flowers I have growing right now are frost hardy and can be planted in the fall.

    One struggle I have been experiencing is a lack of pollinators in my vegetable garden. You seem to have an abundance of flowers growing among your food crops. What would you say is a good ratio of flowers to vegetables to promote pollination?

      Great question. I try to plant at least one flower and one herb in every bed.

    Beautiful garden!! How do you control squash bugs? I work 50 hours a week and tending to the garden daily is difficult... I stopped growing squash and zucchini for that reason.

      Yes, I have a variety of "buckets" in my beds. The white buckets (the lids have all broken, but some of the bins are still going. Wire plant protectors amzn.to/3nbfhTg and these wire garbage cans amzn.to/3NmOIVT

      The wire garbage cans are exactly what I use for cloches and I source them from Dollar Tree. I am excited to also try them as an option for in ground worm composting.

    Question please did you grow enough chick peas to can for the pantry if so how many seeds did you sow and what size bed did you use or did you just grow them to have as snacking outside

      This was my first time planting - I only planted 2-3 squares worth. Not enough for a large harvest. I saved all of them and will plant all next year for a larger harvest.

    I planted from seed some radishes 2 months ago (Peoria Az) and the stems are like 2-3 feet tall and i pulled one out and the single radish was tiny, I think I chose a bad variety

    My chamomile has tiny little worms come out of it so i didnt want to use it for tea. How do you prevent them ?

    Do you experience any problems with birds in your garden? I'm in the Tucson area and I have birds always attacking my yellow squash fruit and leaves. They also eat the leaves off of my pepper plants. I put up bird netting which is a pain. I look at your garden and think why can't mine be open like that?

      I have a lot of birds, they mostly eat the sunflowers, but I have one area where they are attacking the cucumber and zinnia leaves as well.
