- Maestro William Wu (吳文修教授, 1935-2009) was a primo dramatic tenor of the National Opera House in Berlin during 1973-79. His biography has been included in Who’s Who in Opera, The New York Times, since 1976, where he was further selected as one of the 50 leading classical singers in the world. His outstanding performance as Radames in Verdi’s Aida in Tokyo won him the 1984 Vienna World Opera Award. His faultless vocalization is mainly based upon anatomic physiology and modern sound science fascinating with uniquely perfect high notes and solid middle register. It is the profound feelings in the every note he sings that is particularly touching. Among his numerous students in Taiwan and Japan, baritone Te-Tsung Hsu (許徳崇) is one of the best and tenor Yun-Seng Giang (姜雲生) used to receive the most care.
[Synopsis of "Sì, pel ciel marmoreo guiro" from "Otello" by Verdi]
Near the end of Act II, Otello dismisses the others and declares that he now believes that Desdemona may be deceiving him. Iago returns, and the jealous Otello demands proof of Desdemona's infidelity. Iago says that once, when he and Cassio were sleeping in the same room, he heard Cassio talking to Desdemona in a dream that they must be careful to conceal their love. Iago says that dreams don't prove anything, but remarks that he saw Cassio carrying Desdemona's strawberry-embroidered handkerchief just the day before. Otello swears vengeance on Desdemona and Cassio, and Iago joins him in his vow.

這是一段歌者負擔較重的場景，一般所聽到、看到者，多屬錄音室錄影音(類似卡拉OK，但有指揮)或現場音樂會形式。二者的歌手皆可緊靠著錄音麥克風；前者在正式錄音時，甚至可技術性調降樂團的音高與音量。但吳文修教授在這段現場演出中，有不少時候都遠離錄音麥克風，也不像有些歌手使用隱藏式小蜜蜂護航，而樂團(尤其銅管部)卻是在舞台前面緊靠著錄音麥克風，還不斷吹奏強音，吳教授卻還能顯現宏亮的歌聲，真是厲害啊!
