The issue that sunk the jetski was the water output hose which connects at the back of the jet had its clamps disconnect. This meant instead of the water firing out the back of the Jetski it was being fired directly into the hull. From the back end of the ski starting to sink to almost the whole ski being under water was only about 2.5mins. A huge thank you to Cronulla Seadoo and Marine Rescue NSW Anyways the adventure continues!!! 😅
The exact same thing happened to my brand new seadoo. i always advise new owners tighten that hose. Mine popped off while riding and it pumped water inside instead of cooling the engine. Got an engine over heating warning first. Which made sense after wards when the dealer found the disconnected hose
That thumbnail had my heart skipping beats mate. So glad everything worked out in the end and you’re both safe. Truly shows the Australian spirit with all these aussies sacrificing their aus day for a bloke they just met, bloody love it. The way you kept your cool the whole time, always being optimistic, singing a lil song as you and Mon drag 35 grand worth of sinking equipment onto the shore, I got so much respect for that. Andrew put it right, if that happened to me, I’d be in tears 😂 That aus salmon dip looks great to, never would have thought to put fish in a blender but you manage to show us something new every video. I did wonder why you didn’t take the bones out of the filets before you smoked it though? Love the episode, hope everything is smooth sailing from here on out (no pun intended), can’t wait for the next vid!
Good on you getting sorted it out mate. My just bought a fish pro sport. and unfortunately I had a shit time with my seadoo shop. They made no effort in making my time enjoyable while purchasing! They just wanted my coin and push me out the door!
So heartbreaking to rock up seeing on the beach there mate! You took it on the chin like a legeng :) Also, that weather turned fast - by the time we got there at 11 it was a 2 foot swell in the bay!
Wow! Sorry to see that happened but as you pointed out....they are just toys and ya'll were ok! I am certainly going to add that to my check list and ensure I have the right tools onboard for emergencies like you endured. Great video and great to see you smiling your way through it!!
Glad it all ended up well. Could you please put some videos on what to check in your skis and how to fix for those not very mechanically minded jet ski riders? Cheers from NZ!
Dude, Crazy, Soo good the seadoo team looked after you! My seadoo team here at WA SEADOO in WA are legends aswell and would d anything for me or their customers like your seadoo team did. It is pretty good when you feel like a part of the family! also good job for joining sea rescue to you and Mon! Onwards and upwards!
Thanks man, yeah having the support there makes such a difference hey, thats awesome. will have to make a trip over to WA at some point and catch you guys for dive 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thank for sharing your experience with us - great video. Did the inurance cover the PWC retrieval costs and did marine rescue charge anything? Thinking about buying a Seadoo hence the basic questions.
This just makes me want to visit australia more! yeah your day wasn't as fun as you planned but everyone was nice and not condescending like they would be here.
Thanks! Yeah and a huge learning that has us more prepared incase something else ever goes wrong so not bad. Cannot thank Marine Rescue NSW and Cronulla Seadoo enough
@@savagenorthfishing3259 I don’t know, there seems to be a lot out there suggesting they are pretty easy to sink. That being said I’m a Yamaha guy for sure but I’m strongly considering a seadoo next. I’m sure gonna check the hoses and things before putting it in the water.
I've seen way too many seadoos go down for it to be coincidental. With more and more guys using seadoos for offshore fishing it definitely makes me concerned. Glad you were close to shore and were able to get out unscatched.
Hey mate just a question how does the aimrite guns hold up agaist a RA sparid 110 with a roller conversion...Been hearing lots of good stuff about aimrite dunno if i should sell me RA and get one
I feel for you. I just had a car wreck to no fault of my own. It’s been months now; only way to the ocean for me is my car. At least you will take safety extra serious now, not that you didn’t before. I have a small boat too and I know things can get treacherous out there fast
Thanks man, yeah honestly worse things have happened to others, im just grateful we were okay and thankfully Cronulla Seadoo were amazing looking after me and basically took the stresses out of it all. Sorry to hear about your car
hey bro good job and good prioritizing whats most important! I most fish alone, this is important to me. Do you have a bilge Pump? One of the things i will get done is make the bilge pump water so i can visually see water coming out. Jetskis are relatively inexpensive, but when you ge fishers like ours your are gonna put on another 5-6,000 US dollars more. Anyway, I have a bilge on my pump and i often wonder what if my ski if taking on water all day and the bilge is simply exiting the water without you knowing. I would love to see the Issue and Fix. Good thing you had a radio, i have two on mine a powerful compact Standard horizon and a corbra handheld. I love the answers here "that include Tools, or coulda shoulda woulda" This falls FLAT on the face of SeaDoo Quality Control.
What an adventure. That's really unfortunate about the Sea-Doo. When you do get a chance those Sea-Doo's are awesome for hunting tuna out of. Did that on one of those out of Vic.
Exactly, ohh yes i know it i had my first shot at a bluefin on a ski mission in Victoria. Absolutely loved it and thats what paved the way for this ski
luckily it was a simple fix with vibrations and hits from waves, hose clamps can easily get loose and this could happen again u should really dive into basic mechanic and learn stuff, because you could have fixed it on the beach with basic tools ( keep a toolkit on the ski ) this JETSKI is a beast
Exactly, Yeah 100% this was actually a great learning, the ski now has ski specific tools in it so ill be able to do basic repairs and fixes im a hands on kinda guy but didnt have the torx bit on the day to get in behind to see what was actually up. Thanks man!
Sure was unlucky but glad it happened then and not further from the coast. Yeah it was a manufactures warranty. Must have snuck past the quality control
The problem was do the poor quality that sea doos are made. They have beautiful colors, fast in not rough waters, but in the water i prefer to be safe and have a not sink doo.if not is the seal is a crack hull..very typical on them .i go with Yamaha or Kawasaki.
Yeah i have heard of some issues but same again with the Yamahas and decided to go for the Seadoo. Despite this incident i love it to bits and wouldnt trade it for anything

This answers my questions
Is this a common problem, or something that should be checked before launching the ski?
there called sinkdoos for a reason 🤣

Their crew was so supportive. Shiiieeew, you spend 35K on a damn seadoo, they better damn well be 😂.

Yeah mate take er to the shop to tighten a hose clamp
Thats it man!
A bee keeper got stung, a snake handler got bit, a speeder got a ticket, a sea-doo sinks…. All normal things one can easily predict.
Haha not quite
It's pretty rare actually.

Put an after market bilge pump on her if it ever happens again it will definitely keep you on the water and home safely!!!!
So a reasonable question that fallows was that a manufacturing error or a dealer setup error??? Or a faulty hose clamp??? 🤔
A manufacturing error, and I will now advise everyone check their hose clamp from new and check it before big trips or offshore trips.
❤ Thanx4sharing thanx4caring ❤
where was that?
Hey mate any idea why it sank I had exactly the same thing happen 4 days ago
The hose clamp keeping the water output hose connected came loose and came off so i was firing the water directly into my hull :(
Sheeeeeesh that fish dip looking 🔥🔥 bro
Tasty tasty verry very tasty!
What bay is this ?
Product could be wrong from factory, but a sink problem is very comon in Sea doos
Yeah exactly the jubilee clip wasnt tightened correctly from factory :(
luckily it was a simple fix

Sea doo explorer pros are around 17 500 here, why double the price?
Probably cause im talking in AUD not USD man
Sucks about the ski but at least it was a quick fix!

jk bro haha I am a Yamaha guy but just giving ya shit
you should have bought a kawasaki mate😎
fit a bilge if your on the ocean
Absolutely lesson learned
Shit bro! Glad it all worked out fine in the end. Food looked good 👌
Thanks man, yeah bit hectic but thankfully we werent out deeper
At least you didnt drown you and your buddy 😒
Yeah that is definitely a positive
So you paid $35K for a $20K retail ski, wow.
Daddy must be blu-ey rich to have all those assets thrown at your boating problem. Are you the PM's son?
How did you know 🤣🤣 its probably got nothing to do with the fact ive worked 70hr weeks almost my entire life
Probably popped a water cooling line
Nailed it! The hose clamp came loose
You got ripped off if you paid $35,000 for that. Are you talking USD?
The whole channel is basically Australian why would i be talking in USD? Its Australian Dollar man 🤣
