- I Can't Believe They Gave Me This! BTD6 / Bloons TD 6. This is definitely one of the most bizarre and awkward monkey team combo you can possibly get... now what if we tried to beat CHIMPS mode with it as well?

I actually enjoyed playing with monkey teams when I first started playing, and one of the most frustrating things is when you back out of the game to not leak a bloon or something, and then realize the monkey teams refreshed so you won't get anything if you continue playing the game you were just on
I'm curious, does the new Retry Last Round option reset the teams too?

Monkey teams is one of the few things that keeps me coming back to the game every day.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who mainly plays the game for Monkey teams. It’s always fun to have a challenge that isn’t fighting a boss. Whenever I see the golden bloon icon flying across my screen I die a little inside
Id actually care about it if it gave any reward

Monkey teams keeps me coming back to the game. On of the most fun ones I got was mortar, heli, engi on quiet street. Super fun!

I like to use monkey teams to make grinding more fun
Monkey Teams is honestly a great feature. It gives a very unique and interesting optional challenge that really freshens up the game. It's sort of in a similar vein to completing tiles in Contested Territory, except it's not a super committal gamemode that requires consistent attention so I'm actually able to play it. (On a related note, I would love a slower-paced alternative Contested Territory mode that doesn't require as frequent check-ins).
Like a bloons city builder perhaps????
@@baranorak4080 No as in literally the same thing as base-game Contested Territory but instead of getting new tickets to play every day you get them every few days or even every week with other timers increased by the same amount to compensate for longer games that require less consistent time commitment to do well in.

The hardest thing was to remember the early camo and lead rounds without the round number lol

I actually love odisseys because of the custom rounds option. For example this week's was a 1 round only but with every round inside it (so no eor cash nor back out the game). Cool stuff
Thats basically apopalypse before they changed the end of round cash rule it used to have
@@fusionwing4208 yeah I assume someone was going to say that but in apopalypse you can back out without restarting the game...also, that is just one example of cool custom rounds that have appeared over time
@@thematrixlunchhacker Yeah odyssey should be always "cool" not just standard rounds. People who have skill issue can go easy, medium, or use powers.
I've played Monkey Teams (3 Random Monkeys, 1 Random Hero) basically since shortly after release of the game, because I just like Randomizers.
I coded a small program in Java to do so (later created a small website for it which forces at least 1 tower that costs 650 or less) and it was a lot of fun.
Many months later NK adds their own Monkey Teams and you can't imagine my disappointment when I saw they don't change after winning one. The reason Monkey Teams is so fun is because you don't play the same things every time...
So instead I just kept doing my own version. At this point whenever I play, stream or not, I play Monkey Teams assuming the (User) Map isn't too difficult. It is the reason I still play this game actually.
Honestly your system whereby a tower under 650 is always available already sounds BETTER than NK's system

6:13 was there enough money and exp to buy an extra sauda level at that point? because every sauda level gives more lifetime on the leaping sword ability
Technically I was sandboxing with an even higher level Sauda than in the real run (lvl 8 vs 6), so no unfortunately

For contested territory, I haven't played it in a long time, but it's a shame cause I really do love it, but it just demands SO much investment from the players. Like going for a week straight, playing multiple hours a day is just exhausting, but if you don't then good luck getting any of the relics that make it fun. I really wish there were more challenges on there that were shorter, rather than pretty much everything starting from round 1 to 6
That’s why I quit playing it, it’s far too demanding. Even casually. Especially when you build a team and the majority don’t even participate. Contested territory I feel would be a lot better in a different type of game other than BTD6. Contested territory just doesn’t fit in BTD6 at all. I will never say get rid of it because clearly some players enjoy it, most don’t as it’s far too much of a time investment as you have mentioned. Anything that has to do with a team/clan I just don’t care anymore. Had 3 bad experiences with clans, my friends clan in destiny 2, I gave it my all to grow it only for it to fall apart, my other friends clan in clash of clans that I helped mod for, due to my friend not being active for 2 months that clan fell apart and a team in contested territory where I gave it my all where everyone participated, then the next event happened the entire team fell apart. So yeah count me out of that shit. No more clan/team business for me.

With like one million maps in this game, I just use Monkey Teams and Golden Bloons to guide me on what map to play. Back then I just stayed on one map and played all the modes in order until I got the Black Border, but using the events gave me much more variety when playing. I do wish there was more MM though.
This video made me remember Bloons city. Hopefully that gets a sequel one day (Bloons Monkeyopolis?) rounds were nasty in that game: round 1 camo lead, the tile modifiers, introduced bosses, some special missions where NOT easy in the slightest... and i LOVED the concept of contested territory.
I wish theyd buff the mm amount for the monkey team. Especially since they burn a whole in your pockets for races and bosses if your free 2 play.
Can’t forget golden bloons where you need an entire setup to get all the golden bloons

The problem with CT is its too frequent.
If it was seasonal like the collection event I would be more likely to do it, but every other week gets in the way of real life. I did it for half a year before getting sick. Once I got sick and missed a week that was it. Half of the team I was basically carrying didn't even participate if I didn't play and I stopped caring. There was one person who continued to play after I stopped, but I didn't have the energy to start over again and while I did feel sorry for that lone player I wasn't going to start that grind over again.
With no way to communicate in game with team members on strategy (besides discord sweats which I was not); having to dedicate a week of my life with no sleep to bloons; and very terrible rewards relative to the amount of time dedicated, especially if you didn't top 10%; there just wasn't any motivation to continuing to play.
I remember ace minigun and farm once on resort i used that three towers for a month make a lot of medals then forget about and not use anymore

As others have said monkey teams can actually be really nice for just grinding out maps. it adds that extra bit of variety.
Monkey Teams are so forgotten and unpopular that even a video about monkey Teams doesnt actually feature monkey Teams

If you were worried about cams or cam leads then his Level 3 pops all cam rounds before round 40 and his Level 10 is there before cam leads
And even still 2-0-2 soup can pop cam leads

14:40 What I think they should also work on is achievements. After years of playing and 500 hours, I have finally done the 365 daily challenges achievement and am still working on 5 others, including Sapper and the 3 minute race achievement (don't get me started on that one).
They should do more achievements which are niche but not grindy (like sapper) or super hard (3 minute race completion).
One of the other reasons Custom Odysseys are so forgotten is because they have no difficulty indicators. You have no idea if an Odyssey is going to be a complete cakewalk or a devilish nightmare. The frustration between the difficulty you want and the difficulty you get is really offputting

odyssey this week (its only got a few hours left sadly) was unique and i liked it, otherwise, only reason im doing them is because of the 50 trophies you get
I know this will be time consuming but I would love to see you try 2mil mega pops on all maps just to see what’s possible and what’s not possible or how many towers can 2 mol mega pops
pretty sure the bomb did a lot of work on 63 popping the leads so the Robo wasn't blocked by leads from that end.
Add the last clean out of the BAD you can just use Sauda's sword charge and dont have to back out
I wonder if buying an extra level on sauda to extend the duration of leaping sword would have done it

isab i think you could have beaten round 30 if you upgraded sauda because the leaping sword got buffed at some point and the time the swords are in the ground scales with saudas level
Hey ISAB, you should've added Village and Farm into your thumbnail too alongside Super Monkey! It's the second best strategy, after all, so why not feature this loadout?

I think a lot of people play different aspects of the game. Sure, monkey teams and odysseys might not be as popular as races, but there are plenty of people who hate playing races but enjoy the other stuff!
You’re right saying that the boss events and race competitions aren’t the full number of players in the game. I know that I don’t play either because I don’t care enough. My friends don’t play it either.
Monkey teams should give you three insta monkeys (the monkeys used in the team)
Monkey money is already not hard to get if you put any amount of effort into playing different modes. I absolutely think increasing golden bloon and monkey team monkey money amounts would be really good for the game. That way people that don't _like_ doing races, bosses, odyssseys, or god forbid contested territory, have a slightly more steady stream of monkey money. People that prefer no frills simple BTD6 deserve both the variety and potential rewards these extras offer.
I like monkey teams. The reward is crap, but i like trying the challenge.
Hey isab if you ever see this, i would like you to do a comparison. If you still have or can get the mod that let's you get a 5-5-5 monkey then i would like to see what's better, a 5-5-5 monkey or a level 1 paragon of that monkey. Then you can do a max buff 5-5-5 and compare it to a max level paragon or use the mod that allows you to set the paragon level to whatever you want. You don't have to, I'm just curious which is better.

Competitive CT is really fun; it's just a shame it requires such a long time commitment.
I play Odysseys for the trophies. I never payed attention to the trophy store before, but now that I started looking at it I want everything. I'm going to take every trophy I can get until I have all the cool skins and pets
If u really want trophies races and bosses are more efficent, you can just watch guides for bosses, and races can give you trophies as long as you get a half decent time
took me about a year and a half to get everything from the trophy store so good luck

The thing with golden bloon is like “oh let me play this annoying game mode where I’m not even guaranteed to pop the bloon every time but if I do I get 7 monkey money” it’s just not worth it in the slightest
Sauda and super monkey can 2TC if you go 052. It’s definitely possible on resort, adoras temple im not sure about that.
Edit: it’s impossible due to the spacing of the Bloons, can’t get them all with leaping sword.
