I loved this version! Sure, Brad and Allison were absolutely amazing singing this together, and I get why so many aren't as sure with this version, but comparing the two isn't fair to Lainey who also did a magnificent job! To Lainey Wilson, you sang this absolutely beautiful. Brad Paisley, you're amazing! ❤
As good as she is, the first time I heard Lainey do this song with Brad, I felt like she really didn't get it. This time it seems like she's actually starting to understand the song, and it shows in her performance. But don't get me wrong, you can feel it in your soul when Allison Krauss sings this song. Lainey isn't at Allison's level yet. Thanks for the upload!👏
I like lately I didn’t want to like her, but the more I listen to her the more genuine she is But I have to say Allison Cross killed this song. Keep it up Laney you’re gonna have a long history.
When two people harmonize they have to find their groove. Without a band. She was nervous she’s getting use to being famous she’s still nervous about someone who’s been famous. She basically said it in her comments. If you’ve never sang in public on stage or with someone who’s a little bit intimidating, you may not understand. Good job. Yes if you all do a recorded duet it will be good. Brad grew up in the business. Kudos kids 🫶🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I was a booking agent in Nashville for quite some time. The first harsh lesson I learned was that the music industry is NOT a "talent contest." I saw countless AMAZING artists that couldn't buy attention. On the flip side I saw artists who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket but they were marketable and very charming. They were a marketing and public relations "home run" and subsequently sold A LOT of tickets and merchandise. BOOTOM LINE is that it's called the "music BUSINESS". Generating revenue and profits are placed above all else and that's the simple reality of ANY business.
Really not getting the comments hating on Lainey in this. What y’all listening to/on?! Raw and stripped back, as only great musicians can do. 10/10 from me.
Feel more in this performance, you want country music. This is it laid bare as it gets. its raw and brilliant. But its not everyones cup of whiskey thats for sure

I think she did a great job, but i agree maybe its the twang of the accent that doesnt match to brads as such but overall great effort. Love you both ❤❤
It sounded bad to you because it’s a cheap shot. We’re all entitled to like or dislike a singer or other artist. Why not just say that and let it be. I not a fan of hers either.
@ I said it sounded bad because it’s my opinion. I don’t need you to lecture me that I shouldn’t express my opinion. You must have a field day on social media going around telling everyone that their opinion is a cheap shot. Move along.
@@RamblinManMotoOk, I shouldn’t have lectured. You’re right. Second, I misunderstood your “it sounded bad sentence.” I thought you were referring to what you said in the second sentence and the third, one word sentence. Yes you are entitled to say the duet sounded bad or she sounded bad. And I’m entitled to observe that sentences two and three were a cheap shot. If they weren’t a cheap shot, what did you mean?
She’s definitely an overrated singer. I don’t understand all the hype she gets. She’s not a bad singer but she’s not all that great. He did song a while back with Caylee Hammack and she absolutely nailed it. So much better than this!!
I love hearing Allison doing this.
This is one of my all time favorite songs. It's a great rendition. It's deep and soulful ❤😊
WOW! Loving the two of them singing together. This song always makes my wife cry.
Have loved this song for years! Love Brad and Lainey together!
To of them are good Lainey you are doing awesome more than words can say ❤❤❤❤❤

yes. The song isn't mixed well which is why it sounds off.
You West Virginia boy! Love your music, go Lainey, yaw sound great together!
LAINEY SOUNDS JUST LIKE DOLLY PARTON AND YOU CAN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT ❤😊
sure you can. there is allison.
I heard Dolly too!
There are no words😢

Certainly warming it up at the Opry 👌
Great job 👍
This song gets me every time you know, need them tissues
What an honor for Lainey Wilson…and so perfectly done❤️💔
It is better with Allison no one can replace her with Brad Paisley 😢
cant agree more
I agree but I've heard her do this with Brad before and it seemed like she didn't quite get it. This seems much better.
I like lately I didn’t want to like her, but the more I listen to her the more genuine she is But I have to say Allison Cross killed this song. Keep it up Laney you’re gonna have a long history.
Beautiful ❤
That was best performance I had ever heard of whiskey lullaby reboot by Brad paisley and lainey wilson
i think brad praisley and allison krauss is the best version of all..... if you haven't heard. th-cam.com/video/IZbN_nmxAGk/w-d-xo.html

U made it buddy I'm happy for you.
I'm the guy who said u need radio or TV remember
Great cover. Go on and hate all you want.
How is it a cover?
Shes great
The video with Ricky Shrouder was a tear jerker. Whiskey lullaby
How is it possible to preform this song without crying? I couldn’t do it
cool
Love Lainey but I just think this one song wasn’t meant for her. 😞
It was meant for Alison Krauss I think..
Really not getting the comments hating on Lainey in this. What y’all listening to/on?! Raw and stripped back, as only great musicians can do. 10/10 from me.

Hope they get over what they have soon.
Allison Krause has one of the most beautiful voices in country music. Lainey was a little too loud.
I agree. Allison Krauss is one tough act to follow. Lainey has a gorgeous voice, though.
Laney Rocks
Allison Krauss is not there? I don't blame her.

LAINEY WILSON
Sounds a little like a cross between dolly and Allison
Exactly
❤️🫶💯🎼🎷🪕🎵🥁🎻🎹🎶🎶🎵🏞️🌄
I love this song.....but not this performance. Ouch!!° too many sour notes!!!!
I think they are both amazing but unfortunately they don't harmonize well together.
I think it's the twang and non twang trying to harmonize that doesn't work.If Lainey and Hardy did this one too it would be great
I want to like Lainey....but I just don't get it. Someone in Nashville punched her ticket for their reason. Ahem. This sounded bad to me.
She can't sing this song . That was awful . Brad sounds great as always
Agreed. I don't get it.

not an allison.
They both sound terrible. Was it in the wrong key?
Holy Crap... She ruined that.
Not the same
This ain’t are very good version of this song sorry she to loud for this song and they match very well
Just no, love the original SO much better!!
I don’t think Lainey’s voice fits this song
She’s definitely an overrated singer. I don’t understand all the hype she gets. She’s not a bad singer but she’s not all that great. He did song a while back with Caylee Hammack and she absolutely nailed it. So much better than this!!
Great song but her voice is horrible when not mixed and synthesized. They are not a good duo. She actually sounds horrible
Agree…not the best of Lainey
Not very good..sorry
I think so too
🤮
Nope.
nope. why? It's not bad.
Allison did it much better. It was meant to be sang much softer than her raspy voice.
True
I'm so sick of her , but I love Brad
