Beware of AWS free offers; even after cancelling all services that generate charges, they make irregular charges, the resolution of disputes takes a long time. Personally I would not put my clients in the hands of AWS. Even when they admit you were charged without any reason, they take a lot of time to refund your money. After 4 months I´m still waiting a refund. Anyway they will still mistakenly charging you, every month. My solution was to block my Debit Card, and sue my bank for not protecting me against this forementioned mistakes. My bank charges me for a insurance every month. I wonder If this is the way Jeff Bezos makes money to travel to the extratosphere.
Get a gift debit card or any card you can use thats lockable or card that wont work if no funds are available. (go2bank, paypal, skrill…). After a few months they will give up and stop attempting charging and hopefully, terminate your account. This assumes you use no services, Im not saying don’t pay your dues. This is discussing behavior and intentional. Theres no reason why you cant go trough check out menu to be aware of whats happening and theres no reason why closing your account is not a click away. Very few people have actually tried to close their amazon account (shopping or AWS) for any reason and the hurdle are massive…closing your Amazon account is in practice close to impossible.
Hi thanks for your sharing. I have an issue can you please help I deleted all my resources im not using my account for long. I opened it for learning purposes. But in my billing section show different services different times with some requests usages. When i went to the services there was nothing, i haven’t created anything for ages. How these appear from nowhere and now im in free tier but it will end in 4 days what can i do to find those to terminate and make sure my bill will be zero. Im an international student. Please help me is it okk or i need to do something
