    I'm new to watching Mimi, and a very new sewer. I love the way you start out with how to layout the pattern, how to cut both the fabric and interfacing, how to mark the fabric, and how to change the look of the pattern pieces. This is very helpful because that is the hardest part for me. I love to see how you fashion it after you sew.

    What I love is the fact that you teach every and anyone who wants to learn to sew. I have my own studio and you inspire me. I mean it's 2:30am raining cats and dogs outside and I'm watching Mimi G.

    watching your video's makes me want to create a whole wardrobe for myself. I hate shopping because nothing fits properly and it's just a horrible feeling so I gave up. Have you done any video's about adjusting a pattern for bodies that are different on the top, middle and bottom?
    BTW I'm glad I've found you because my husband surprised me with a sewing machine and I think I'm ready to use it. Love your spirit. I don't know about anyone else but your video's ease my mind about creating things. I don't get stressed out on where to start or how to go about doing anything. thank you:)

Also, your zipper installation was very interesting, never saw that before either :D Thanks for the tutorial. You have inspired me more :D

      Sandria Olivia really??? That's the professional way to do it..

    • @MimiGStyleshow
      @MimiGStyleshow  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always use the flat method in my knits and button up shirts. I use the set in method in my coats, blazers and lightweight fabrics like silks. The zipper method is faster, easier and doesn't require a specific invisible zipper foot.

      Yeah you totally could, I try to keep things easy to understand for the videos but yes you could totally pick up the dart in the seams if they are close enough to your bust. Also this is a knit so I could get away without doing a the darts all together ;-)
