    Nice one and perfect size for your wrist. I loved the PRX but my wrist is kind of in-between sizes so I sold my 40mm and got a killer Nivada F77 at 37mm instead. It's got heritage since it first came out in the 70s, a ton of personality and great quality too.

    Bro that looks so sick. You absolutely nailed the colourway. I don’t even know you and it just feels like it suits you more than any other colour. This review sold that colour to me. Glad you’re enjoying it.

    I have the same size wrists as you and for me it’s no question that the 36 is the right size, looks great. It’s good to see people going for sizes that actually look good on them - unlike some who look goofy with comically large watches for their wrists lol

  • @Thomas-cz2vg

    The PRX has a 80 hour power reserve, surely that would make anyone consider that more over this, shame CW didn't release a gold version.

      @@TattedTroyGuy How does one assess the quality of the movement? It's barebones Sellita. It works. So it does its job for this watch. I also got my Manhattan few days ago. One does not buy this watch because of the movement - you buy it because of the design and finishing!

    Nice review. People also need to know that just becauss someone has the same wrist circumference, the watch is going to fit the same.

    My wrist is about 17cm (6.7 in) and I have yet to figure out which size would be better. I wanna go for the titanium version that has the more accurate movement. But then again, the available colors are so different. Loving the 'Nebula Purple' on the 40mm case but it might be too big. Aaahh the decision is hard x)

Still, The 12 in an amazing watch. No doubt. Maybe I’ll talk myself into buying one next time CW mails out coupons. A 36mm is a wonderful size to wear. Great review.

    I held off buying the TRX. Just seemed too entry level ish, very basic and lacking refinement. I was hoping you bought the white dial to see what you think but I will know soon enough because mine will arrive in a few days. She seems like she will be a beauty but I’m scared it will look too feminine. I’m really bummed this watch is not COSC certified. Unless I fall in love with her, I will return it since I’ve grown to value COSC certification in a watch. Im with you that I would pay a bit more for added finish detail and that lacking in the PRX would tire me quickly. Thanks for your first impressions.

    Your brain is correct. Like buying a larger-screen TV. The first thought are "Oh that's big" By day 2 you think it's perfect

  • @Watchgang123
    @Watchgang123 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I agree, it’s better built than the PRX - but it’s definitely not worth double. I look at the sum of the parts. Both the Twelve and PRX are just steel sport’s integrated watches with workhorse movements so there’s no reason to pay double for the Twelve unless you’re clear in your mind that you’re paying a premium for the extra little details if that matters to you. This is because the cost to produce steel three -hand watches is extremely low. Just look at your Smith’s Everest. It comes from a factory in China. You’re merely paying for the design. It costs very little to make these cookie cutters in China.

  • @Watchgang123
    @Watchgang123 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The bracelet ‘feels’ more quality because the metal is thicker. That’s all. The PRX bracelet is thinner because it was a design choice. And the bracelet uses screws because it’s thicker. The PRX uses pins because the bracelet isn’t thick enough to drill holes in it that would hold screws. That’s the differences. If you feel that makes the Twelve better quality that is a reasonable sentiment. But remember one thing. Steel is a very cheap material. So giving you a thicker bracelet won’t cost CW that much extra vs Tissot. It’s just your perception, that’s all. Steinhart uses screws on all their bracelets and they sell for considerably less than CW. So drilling holes for screws won’t add that much extra cost either. You’re just paying for that ‘perceived’ premium. CW is making a bigger profit per watch than Tissot and Steinhart, that’s all. And the chamfering on the bracelet. A lot of cheaper watches have that detail too. Labour cost in China is still low versus Switzerland etc.
