  • We've had the pool over a week now and I wanted to do a follow-up/update and talk about pool maintenance. Because I'm not an expert and learning as I go (we've only had one inflatable pool before -- a10 foot rectangular one last year and now this 12 foot round Summer Waves one) I wanted to share what I've learned/experienced so far. I had to add more chlorine (a second dispenser and more chlorine tablets.) I added a tennis ball to absorb oils. I got a new pump to add air more easily to the top ring (you do have to top up with air sometimes as it deflates a little with time and changes in temperature.) I keep the cover on at night & in bad weather. I clean the pool out with the skimmer (leaves, dirt & bugs -- the cover helps to keep a lot out but some still gets in!) And so far so good! Knock on wood, the water is clean and clear. We've also experienced other problems but found ways to work around them as well.
    Take care. Stay safe. We're spending another Summer at home & will be enjoying our new pool. Thanks for watching! Please like and subscribe! :)

    The wife doesn't like bugs so we put ours inside a canopy tent so the pool is screened off, it also keeps the sun out of the pool too which helps with the fair skin!

      That's cool! I wish we had a gazebo with screens to keep it sealed off to protect from the sun/bugs etc! Good idea! Take care. Have a great Summer!

    Hi Anne I think you clamps are on the wrong way but I’m not sure?

      They're right as far as I know. I followed the instructions. A couple of the first ones I had were defective but the new ones worked great. Take care.

    Which filter do you have please?
    Thanks for sharing the video, great tips

      Hi there. Here's a video on changing the filter cartridge if you want to check it out: th-cam.com/video/SJz0_RBl02o/w-d-xo.html
      I did a more recent maintenance video as well including changing the filter: th-cam.com/video/DeYxNdfxb9E/w-d-xo.html
      It takes an *I type* filter. I couldn't find a Summer Waves one so I got a FlowClear one. As long as it's an I type (or check if you have a different size or model of pool, which type yours takes.) Good luck. Take care. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Ann, thanks for the video. What do you use to clean the bottom and the sides of the pool?

    • @AnnMariePincivero
      @AnnMariePincivero  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just used a cloth. Sometimes I'd put small towels on my feet & skate along the bottom to clean it. The chlorine kept it pretty clean. Take care. Have a good Summer.

    Thanks so much for the video. We are thinking about getting this size pool. Is it easy to get in without a ladder. I’m only 5’4 and don’t wanna bust the rim trying to get in.

    • @AnnMariePincivero
      @AnnMariePincivero  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. It's not too tall to get in. No ladder needed! It's 30" high. My daughter got in no problem & she's only 4 foot something! :) Take care.

    Did you put az tarp down under the pool if so was it good and do you have a link for it ?????

    • @AnnMariePincivero
      @AnnMariePincivero  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I did put a tarp down under the pool. It was the cheapest one I could find. I don't have a link for it. I have other videos where I set up the pool & it shows setting the tarp down to lay the pool on (I got a blue one to match the pool.) Any tarp should do. Just make sure it's big enough. A 12 foot square one would be ideal. Take care.

    What about when is raining what do u do with the fillter pump plug

    • @AnnMariePincivero
      @AnnMariePincivero  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My outlet has a cover so I just keep the plug inside the plastic outlet housing, at the bottom. If the outlet doesn't have a cover you could put a plastic bag around the end with an elastic or something to keep it dry? Take care.

    did you fill you’re pool up with well water?

    • @AnnMariePincivero
      @AnnMariePincivero  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. We don't have well water. Regular water from a hose. I've done other videos of the set up where you see me filling it. When we first got it: th-cam.com/video/rTZI6wp9pfU/w-d-xo.html And last year: th-cam.com/video/ycivLMO_o4w/w-d-xo.html Take care. Good luck with your pool! Happy New Year!

    Are you able to provide the pump model ?

    • @AnnMariePincivero
      @AnnMariePincivero  ปีที่แล้ว

      I ordered it from Amazon. It was a Cadrim quick fill electric air inflator/deflator with 3 nozzles. It was years ago. Not sure if they still have that kind. If you just search for air inflator/deflator you should find a bunch. Take care.
