Part one of two. What is Christianity? It is to know Jesus Christ, the hope of all mankind and the satisfaction of all our desires. What does the knowledge of Jesus Christ bring? "All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
(Colossians 2:1-3) For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
The central thread in the great story of the world is not the world's redemption from what went wrong: it's the glorification of the world from infancy to perfection: and how the human family is called by God to become a real partner with the Almighty in continuing the work of creation. The fall of man was a false start- and with that false start cleared away and healed by Christ, He takes us to ever-more splendid heights, first taking us back to Paradise and then showing us riches even more brilliant than Eden. But most importantly- and wondrously- the Father, in weaving the divine life of the eternal Son into the created life of the human family, grants mankind the power, by the Spirit, to share with Him the utter delight of fashioning, building up, and filling the cosmos with an endless and always-renewing variety of divine Beauties.
33:30 Fun fact about the yeast naturally occurring on grape skins: in ancient cooking, you acquire leaven for bread by crushing some grapes, fermenting the juice for a few hours, and then mixing the fermented juice into the dough. Perhaps this is why Christians (at least in the east) wound up using leavened eucharistic bread, for the resulting symbolism is quite rich: the blood of Christ (and the martyrs) vivifies the Church (the dough).
As somebody who's knew to Orthodoxy (currently a catechumen), I'm absolutely loving your channel. Discovered you through Jonathan Pageau. Call me crazy, but it seems like there could be a bit of an orthodox revolution starting to happen in the west. Christ is risen ☦️

I think with a transcription and a light revision without loosing the speech level style would be enough to turn this into a book. Actually many philosophers teachers do that.

it is good to hear more of the "eternal perspective" because it serves to inspire us when we have lost the significance of the mystery through objectifying it and in our "overfamiliarity" with it, i.e. apathy.
