Everyone has been begging Disney to make a villains land, so I’m glad Universal is thinking ahead and taking the opportunity to have their own Monsters Universe. This is the land I’m most excited for!!
It sounds like Comcast is going to initially require guests to purchase a three park pass (with one pass providing admission to Epic Universe) in order to access the new park. That could mean (with the cost of parking) a family of four could spend more than $1000 tp (eventually) visit Epic Universe I hope all the rides work.
So bittersweet. I'm 30, british, and met the most amazing woman whilst on holiday in Orlando in 2021. She had 3 different types of cancer at the time, she loved universal, and was diagnosed with leukemia in April 2023. The day I met her, I'd bought the hogwarts castle snowglobe which I'd wanted for years, as my team member friend had took me shopping with their discount. On the night I met her, I gave her that snowglobe as she loved harry potter too and I knew she was special. My birthday is in december, and she rang me from Universal in december 2022 (she'd went there specially for me, drove up from Sebastian), whilst I was in the UK asking for my address. She said she wanted to send me a birthday gift. She sent me the same hogwarts castle snowglobe I gave her, and included a receipt she'd wrote on the back of saying "happy birthday! Love ya girl. Angie :)" She died in may 2023. I know she would have loved epic. Breaks my heart.
oh my god that is so sad. i’m happy you got to meet such an amazing person and i know she’ll be by your side when you visit epic. may she rest in peace
In regard to the transportation question at 7:16. Dev is right, Universal has not confirmed any transportation to Epic Universe yet. However, they did expand one of the roads going from the main Universal Orlando complex over to Epic Universe. In this expansion they added additional lanes on each side of the road as well as lanes blocked off in the middle for buses. This is assumed to be for Universal buses only that would take guests to Epic Universe from the main complex and vice versa. There will not be any water transportation to or from Epic Universe, at least for the foreseeable future. If you want reference for how the system might work, it will probably be similar to how there are buses at the main parking garage complex that takes you over to Volcano Bay. Of course, we will have to wait and see what the transportation actually is, but I’m pretty sure there are construction files/photos about the expanded roads with bus only lanes. Also, thanks for another great and quickly uploaded video Dev👍🏼
Transportation will be trial and error once the park opens. I think there will be more demand for the endless summer hotels since they are central to both parks. Epic only has 3 hotels closer to it vs the 6 closer to the other parks. I worry about the overall price increase for endless summer.
Thanks Dev/Bianca …for covering universal ….many of us from pittsburgh (family , friends, etc) now make universal orlando our number 1 vacation spot …give us more and more universal … we see you as a future ambassador for universal parks .., keep up the good work
It’s good to know that Disney isn’t of everyone’s radar at number 1, it shouldn’t be, universal has more value for what you spend, better treatment at least right now.
The model in the preview store put how large it is into perspective. So large, I dont see myself wanting a shuttle to jump across the parks midday. I think its going to take minimum 2 days to experience everything in the property.
There’s so much interactivity, if I had the time and money, I could genuinely spend more then two days. The park will probably convince me to come back anyways.
Those 2 hotels look liked cruise ships but with a weird design. I hope Universal will put up some kind of wall in the pool area to keep onlookers out. Can't wait to see how it will all look. Thank you for sharing Dev, keep up the great work that you do. Stay safe and stay blessed my friend
A huge thank you for all the work and research that you’ve done for this park. We cannot wait to see what universal has in store for us. My biggest excitement is of course monsters unchained because it gives me the same excitement/anxiousness of Halloween horror nights and I can’t wait 🔥❤️
I can't believe how quickly this is coming along, it will be open in no time!! I hope someday I get to go but until then looking forward to seeing how much you will love it Dev and Bianca ❤😂❤
In May 2017 Disney opened Pandora at Walt Disney World. Over the seven years that followed Disney built four major attractions (Runaway Railway, TRON, Cosmic Rewind, Ratatouille), two themed lands (Galaxy's Edge and Toy Storyland -- which added four additional new attractions) , the re-imagining of EPCOT's Future World, a re-theming of another attraction (Tiana's Bayou Adventure) two major resort properties (Coronado and Riviera), a complete renovation of an additional resort (Contemporary) and an expansion of its transportation systems (Skyliner and DHS hub). That's pretty impressive by any reasonable standard.
@@timothybernardi68 do you know why the did all of that at once? (This was around the time Harry Potter in Universal was exploding) Disney realized Universal was a bigger threat than they originally thought And they played catch up
@nathanr7599 My post was meant to illustrate how Disney has proven it can build resorts and attractions quickly and efficiently. What does your response have to do with my point?
@@timothybernardi68 They can build yes...but I still think they have financial issues and are just hiding it. This is why they're purposely spreading out work across multiple months. It's like they're using revenues from previous quarter(s) to help pay for what they're working on because they don't have the funding upfront. I think they were also caught with their pants down when Epic Universe was originally announced back in 2019 and did not expect Universal to continue building Epic so quickly during the pandemic. I think they were thinking Universal would delay Epic for far longer than it did during and after the pandemic. Or, at least hoping they were gonna do so to give them more time to develop some kind of response.
@ducktails1695 I don't think you are familiar with Central Florida history. Universal alerted county officials in 2015 that this park was in the works At the time they stood in opposition to the construction of other attractions that were planned for the International Drive area (sight lines). They had acquired (or re-aquired) the property. They were negotiating the extension of Kirkman Road. Disney knew what was coming. And with zero new attractions currently being built at USF and IOA ... the attendance at those parks are going to be as affected by Epic as any of the WDW operations
Universal will have dedicated electric buses from CityWalk to Epic Universe. Part of the Kirkman Rd expansion is a dedicated bus lane down the center of the road. The road you see behind the hotels is the roundabout for those driving down the Kirkman Rd extension on to Epic Blvd. Universal is building a new bus depot near the Tera Luna hotel to hold/maintain these new electric buses.

This is so amazing!!!! 🎉🎉 what do you think the dark ride is going to be???!
Dark universe Finna hit crazy at night
I can’t wait for everything but I can’t wait for monsters unchained!!!
I drive for Academy and I’ve heard through the grapevine that our company put in a bid for Bussing for Universal. Not confirmed but that’s what I heard!
I hope its early because if its opening during the holidays that's is going to be a problem because the crowds would be out of control.
Universals Epic universe looks really good, I also hope the Universal Studios GB theme park get's the go head
There’s a werewolf dress up character and welcome and they got a steak restaurant and they have every dress up characters
I hope this pushes Disney to get there shit together and start investing in there parks. Universal is killing it.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO YAY
Yay! So looking forward to this, great update Dev! 🙌🏽🤩 🌎 🧛🏽♂️🧟♂️
This looks insane!
Very exciting!
I thought it would open early because they're smart and it would be better for people to open early than not meeting their goal. Can't wait and now need a 😎 bro to go. 👍
I think dark universe going to be amazing feeling at night
I think the first few weeks or months of monsters unchained will be the best. Then a bunch of 6 -8 year olds will get on get freaked out then the land and ride will get toned down
That’s the werewolf roller coaster. I talked to him and I said no scaring people.
I really hope they offer us annual passes because I think it’s gonna take multiple weeks to get to see everything
This hotel is open. This one is epic universe hotel, and this hotel is always open for walking and I don’t want to walk.
Great job 👏 on reporting
Waiting for Dark Universe/ and Wizarding World
Dev, l hope to be at Epic Universe on Opening Day! I might stay at The Stella Nova Hotel. By the way, my real name isn’t Christine Daae. I know, shocking, right?
Is this area a no fly zone. I am not sure about laws on flying drones so just wondering why no one has got drone footage at least from public areas.
Helicopters fly over all the time. I think there may be restrictions about drones over construction sites.
I don't think you can fly drones over areas under construction...and especially over areas where people are walking around.
How exactly are you supposed take a picture with the "invisible" man. 😂 Dark Universe will be best at night.
For the expansion, I hope they add a Lord of the Rings Park😩
That’s not Stardust racers that roller coaster that’s how to train your Dragon toothless
20:39 We Understand!
There’s a werewolf dress up character and he’s welcome not in my house
PLEASE, UAniversal, gicve us a SEGA equivalent to Super Nintendo World for Epic Universe. Give us a Crash Bandicoot land too!
I hope you're right! April 25th is my birthday!
I have to say those 2 hotels up front with Terra Luna. Not a fan of the shiny 90s style front. That’s what most ppl see driving past. I can’t see that lasting looks cheap
I think it looks awesome. Not cheap looking at all. These are also not meant to be upper scale hotels either. You want to see cheap and very outdated...go to Disney's All-Star resort or something like that.
Why such a large park with only 11 rides???
How are you doing Dev. from Kyle Rennie
How to train your dragon
I Think the park going to cost more than disney park price just keep in mind 😮😮
