I think almost all the Titanfall 1 maps are S and A tier. They crate more interesting combat, are way more organic and layered, as they are not rigid 3 line desighnes like alot of TF2 maps and they are far more creative, and they all feel more like a actuall battle would take place there.
Homestead is probably my fav map, idk why but every time I have to play in that map, I end up in the most epic match of my whole session. Every match is one of those where the score is super tight and everyone has to do their best to win, I love it so much that even losing feels satisfying.
Forward base kodia just needs some stuff added in to make it better. Just a couple things added in and it’ll be great but with the way it is now it’s not amazing
To be honest, I think Relic's biggest issue is the very reason why it was added. The map is great in Titanfall 1, but just doesn't translate over to Titanfall 2's faster movement and Titan specialization. Because everyone gravitates to the ship where there's very little room to do movement beyond basic wallruns, the pacing of the map is almost constantly changing between feeling like CoD and regular Titanfall 2 gameplay. Plus, Titans like Tone and Monarch can wreak havoc with their splash damage while Legion and Northstar get terrorised by pilots on the upper levels.
Complex: I don't think its C tier, its B tier for me cuz its better than blackwater canal (one slip and if you fall you have to wallump up or go all the way around and while you do that you're completely out in the open with multiple vantage points for pilots to shoot you from). I think the claustrophobic nature of the map for titans actually kinda works to make the titan fights more interesting. Suddenly you're in a position where a single scorch can take down multiple titans, so the other titans have to co-ordinate and not just rush in together. As for pilots, i think it can be a bit monotonous because most fights you have are either in the "big lane", or the room witht the chairs and all. Pilot vs titan i think is fun in this map cuz you can just wall run up high and get a few shots off, or you can stay down in the corridors and fight that way. I do think the map is monotonous but i don't think its boring enough to be in C tier. Crash site: agree 100%. Just wanted to add that for me the worst part of the map is how disorienting some parts of the map are. Espeically where the ground is tilted, i genuinely get headaches playing on that map. And yeah the rocks have wonky hitboxes so sometimes i wiill use a stim expecting to fly off and instead my character is just stuck in place wasting away that speed and i get shot. Drydock: you're right about players gravitating towards the center, but what i've observed is that the game changes as soon as titans are involved, then people start using the other parts of the map as well, and since the outside areas of the map are so open, it becomes really for titan vs titan (unless you're scorch, then you're screwed). So yeah high B tier for me too. Maybe A at times when im playing as a ronin and using the open nature of the map to hack away pilots. Eden: doesn't do anything to stand out. Very basic. The train track also becomes a bullet magnet cuz *everyone* can you when you're on it, so you step on it and you die. Exoplanet: S tier map, nothing to complain about, every part of the map also feels different, theres enough open areas where its fun as a titan, but the map isnt so open that movement is restricted as a pilot. The buildings and rock also work as good cover when doing titan vs titan or pilot vs titan. Solid map. Glitch: Everytime i see this map pop up, i smile. I used to hate this map at the start cuz i didnt know how to wallrun well and i used to fall down into the abyss, even fell down as a titan a couple times but once i got the hang of it, you can play this map and NEVER touch the ground, its just so damn fun. Relic: While i feel its a good enough map to play on, especially the outside area, the interiors have some weird corridors that are too complex and not well put together that you just enter them and lose all sense of direction when you come out. the outside part is really fun to play as a titan, the interiors are good for pilot combat but some areas are just kinda confusing. Rise: As a pilot, the floor is Lava. As a titan, become a fly swatter. Anything you see on the wall that moves, kill it. War games: Had to be S+. Fun as a pilot, as a titan, plenty of areas for cover, plenty of spaces to build momentum. You can play as a sniper, with an SMG, or a shotgun and you can use the map effectively to suit any of those.
Honestly, I respect your decision but alot of these smaller/more cramped space-maps are PERFECT for me as a Scorch main. Like WEEW Baby, it gets so damn good. Like Black Water Canal, Crash Site, Complex, Rise. All these are AMAZING for Scorch. I love em. For me they go into S+ tier. And yea, fuck Homestead
I reeeaaally hate fighting campers because of how boring and slow it makes the game, so I'm not a fan of colony at all, especially with how little cover you have from titans as a pilot other than just hiding in buildings. And angel city just feels too cramped as a titan, while as a pilot I feel my movement is limited because taking the faster routes will expose me to titans. I just don't get what people love about the map so much beyond aesthetic. Drydock actually was my favorite map at one point (before war games and glitch came out), but I'm not really sure why I love it so much. I also really like complex, but that's probably because it's just the easiest map for me to stomp and go 35-0 on. Other than those this list is pretty spot on
Angel city has way too many buildings that can be interacted with. It makes grapple pilots 10x better than any others, and people can camp the middle from the dozen buildings.
complex is a great map if you're a really good player. I'm talking about top 10% good, it's the map you can get the most kills in, particularly in attrition because the spawns suck. so if you're a great player this map is an S tier but could also be all the way in D if you are only an average player

It would be so epic if the blackwater canal bridge broke down when you Titanfall onto it. Would be an easy S-Tier map and not that hard to mane I think
I like Relic, but mostly the outside portions. The floating walls strewn about on cables are really fun, and you can use a lot of different pilot abilities and still find good movement. The inside area kind of just sucks, though, especially for titans. I feel like a lot of the maps have the tried-and-true "3 lane" system for titans - eden and comlex are good examples of that - but Relic has like, 2 and a half lanes? There's the one on the far side beneath the structure for both sides, but it doesn't go anywhere else. On one side you can just walk in, and then on the other you have a loading ramp and a spot where you have to crouch to get it. And that's it; you can't go any other route to see the other side of the map. Angel City is my favorite (even if glitch is definitely the best). It's a weird sort of 4 lane system with branches between those lanes, tons of buildings and other cover for titans. Probably one of the best titan combat maps.
The 3 lane maps are the most boring, Imo, especially when its super obvious like Eden or Kodai The ship in the middle if relic has loads of cool routs through as a pilot, but its meant to be a choke point for Titans and somewhere Pilots can hide with a couple of flanking routs
All the Titanfall one maps put the ones in Titanfall 2 to shame. Not that the ones in 2 are bad, but the ones in one are so much more layered and feel much more organic. Perfect Titanfall 3 Imo would have TF1 map desighn, gritty tone and michal bay esqe Artstyle (cool blues, blacks and deep oranges and washed out brown and lens flares) The movement, abilites and full campaighn like TF2 Then add in full pilot customisaition, more weapon customisaition (underbarrel mods, drum mags and a full choice of sights, like having both the TF1 and TF2 Hcog sights) and a hybrid Titan and Titan Rodeo system (Titan weapon and Chassis can be changed, but the abilites remain tied together. Have regening sheilds like the original, and when a pilot rodeos, they get a choice to take the Battery which removes the sheild and regen and can be given to a teammate, or shoot the titan like you could in the original for a limited amount of damage, say 1-1.5 bars of health)
Homestead was the first ever map I ever played on. So for me, it's still an A-tier. I've got my bias. And honestly playing other game, and comparing it to them... it's better than a LOT of other game's best map
Hot take: i dont like glitch i think it is made with pilots in mind and with titans as an afterthought. I feel like anytime i call down my titan on glitch i just get shredded by anti-titan weapons
In my opinion, titanfall 2, is on the best games of all time. I think it’s annoying how people will go back to titanfall and say “it’s the best game ever” then just not ever play it. I play I nearly everyday. Don’t say a game is good if you don’t play it.
The map itself isnt bad at all, its just the first spawn is so bad, so the first half of any match is just both teams shooting up or down the hill from cover. Once that "phase" is complete,t he map is actually vety good IMO

@@ender_z4nd3r83 Theres plenty of flanking routes and hidey holes to escape titans, and ive never had a issue with movement. The only issue i have with it is the spawn and the connecting corridor thats halfway down the hill always screws up my wallrunning/double jumping, and i guess the dead with the tower as you can get trapped therem as a titan
In my honest opinion, glitch is unmatched in pilot v pilot and it deserves the hype in that area, but… playing titans on this map is god awful. You get pinched so easily, like you could be nowhere near the battle in one moment, the next you could have a ronin and a monarch sprinting at your ass from one lane and a legion cooking a power shot in another. Also super easy to poke a titan with a thunderbolt for .1 second and get free damage
all titanfall maps are S tier. they all fit the game's flow and feel, also the maps feel good to play even if you don't do that good that game. CHANGE MY MIND

I agree with everything except with Rise. I share your opinion on that map. However C tier is a bit to low for me. That map is to cool to be in C tier, come on.. ;) Also, i like Homestead. Grapple+Gravitystar FTW! At least until the titans come down..
Rise is one of my favourite maps. Its just so far removed from the norm, being almost as verticle as it is horizontle. You have the ground level which is where the titans duke it out, with lots of buldings to enter for cover for pilots with very distinc "pods" seperated by lanes, you have the elevated walkways and towers above that that allow some shortcuts, some CQC and then you have the walls above that which allow for basically umlimited wall running which allows for mid air battles with pilots, let you drop down on unaware titans for a rodeo or rotate to anywhere else on the map relatively safley.
Titanfall would be better without Homestead

Bruh Eden is a definite S TIER! Great cover great flow pilot vs pilot is great, titan vs titan is great, and titan vs pilot is great. Eden is S tier

Angel City is my favorite in all of TF2, it's peak Sci-Fi Shooter and it was a map from the first game
All the Titanfall one maps put the ones in Titanfall 2 to shame. Not that the ones in 2 are bad, but the ones in one are so much more layered and feel much more organic.
Perfect Titanfall 3 Imo would have TF1 map desighn, gritty tone and michal bay esqe Artstyle (cool blues, blacks and deep oranges and washed out brown and lens flares) The movement, abilites and full campaighn like TF2
Then add in full pilot customisaition, more weapon customisaition (underbarrel mods, drum mags and a full choice of sights, like having both the TF1 and TF2 Hcog sights) and a hybrid Titan and Titan Rodeo system (Titan weapon and Chassis can be changed, but the abilites remain tied together. Have regening sheilds like the original, and when a pilot rodeos, they get a choice to take the Battery which removes the sheild and regen and can be given to a teammate, or shoot the titan like you could in the original for a limited amount of damage, say 1-1.5 bars of health)
Homestead was the first ever map I ever played on. So for me, it's still an A-tier. I've got my bias. And honestly playing other game, and comparing it to them... it's better than a LOT of other game's best map
Hot take: i dont like glitch i think it is made with pilots in mind and with titans as an afterthought. I feel like anytime i call down my titan on glitch i just get shredded by anti-titan weapons
Playing ronin on glitch can feel really bad. I feel your pain.

I like complex more than boomtown bcz it’s a great map for scorch. Titan vs titan and even pilot vs titan flows well but the pilot vs pilot sucks
Sliding trough the spinning wheel on homestead makes it S+

In my opinion, titanfall 2, is on the best games of all time. I think it’s annoying how people will go back to titanfall and say “it’s the best game ever” then just not ever play it. I play I nearly everyday. Don’t say a game is good if you don’t play it.

The map itself isnt bad at all, its just the first spawn is so bad, so the first half of any match is just both teams shooting up or down the hill from cover. Once that "phase" is complete,t he map is actually vety good IMO
@@dylanburston7453 It is a bad map that doesn't really let you move because of the geometry it has, and It becomes even more of a mess when Titans start falling
@@ender_z4nd3r83 Theres plenty of flanking routes and hidey holes to escape titans, and ive never had a issue with movement. The only issue i have with it is the spawn and the connecting corridor thats halfway down the hill always screws up my wallrunning/double jumping, and i guess the dead with the tower as you can get trapped therem as a titan
Crash site is garbage yes down to F tier. I have the same issues with the rocks. The wall running is so messy on this map.

In my honest opinion, glitch is unmatched in pilot v pilot and it deserves the hype in that area, but…
playing titans on this map is god awful. You get pinched so easily, like you could be nowhere near the battle in one moment, the next you could have a ronin and a monarch sprinting at your ass from one lane and a legion cooking a power shot in another. Also super easy to poke a titan with a thunderbolt for .1 second and get free damage
all titanfall maps are S tier. they all fit the game's flow and feel, also the maps feel good to play even if you don't do that good that game. CHANGE MY MIND

I agree with everything except with Rise. I share your opinion on that map. However C tier is a bit to low for me. That map is to cool to be in C tier, come on.. ;)

Rise is one of my favourite maps. Its just so far removed from the norm, being almost as verticle as it is horizontle.
You have the ground level which is where the titans duke it out, with lots of buldings to enter for cover for pilots with very distinc "pods" seperated by lanes, you have the elevated walkways and towers above that that allow some shortcuts, some CQC and then you have the walls above that which allow for basically umlimited wall running which allows for mid air battles with pilots, let you drop down on unaware titans for a rodeo or rotate to anywhere else on the map relatively safley.
UMA is the greatest pilot only map of all time
