- Hydrogen is a gas at room temperature, and is the first element in the periodic table. It has the chemical symbol H, but is usually found as a diatomic molecule of H2.
It reacts with oxygen to form water.
Hydrogen is a colourless, odourless gas that burns and can form an explosive mixture with air. It is the least dense gas known to man. A jet of hydrogen burns in air with a very hot blue flame.
Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. It is found most abundantly on Earth in water, but can also be found in the atmosphere in very small amounts.
When reactive metals like sodium come into contact with water Hydrogen gas is released.
The test for hydrogen is that when a test tube containing hydrogen is placed near a flame it ignites with a “ squeaky Pop”.
All metals above Hydrogen in the reactivity series react with acids to displace hydrogen.
Hydrogen combines with nitrogen to form ammonia.

This is the most simple and concise, and yet thorough science teaching
Glad you think so!
I was wearing Earphones when the “Squeaky POP” and loud volume too. Lol
That sure scared me.
Sorry about that!
Yes that also happened with me
I was also using iqoo3 earphones
Seriously i literally thought something happened
Same . I got a headache now 😅
I have scared about the pop because when the pop sound came my parents asked me what did you do ? And thank you so much for the great work
Most welcome 🙂
Gotta say very informative and concise thank you❤️
Thank you too!
Thanks..
No problem

Lol replying after 7 months..
BTW i passed My O/L with 9As..
Thanx for your support ..
Great job! Well done @Lasiru Lochana
Thanks for this helpful video
Glad it helped!
impressive!thank u soooooo much 😊
Amazing Fantastic Spectacular Explanation Sir
Thank you very much!
Thanks
No problem
I got it . Thanks
Great!

what is hellium
so basiclt ph just means how much water it can hold
Not really - pH (capital H for the element hydrogen) is a measure of the concentration of hydrogen IONS in a solution. See fuseschool videos on pH for more information. th-cam.com/video/RE3CKkkMljo/w-d-xo.html
also see: th-cam.com/video/RnyB2qbQtHk/w-d-xo.html
Hydrogen can only bond with one oxygen molecule to form water.
Hydrogen does not hold water it makes water with oxygen.
pH scale is a indicator which indicates if a substance is acidic or basic.
Acid are sour eg lemon.
Bases are bitter baking soda.

ammonium has 4 hydrogen not 3 NH4^+
Yes, you are correct. Ammonia, however, is NH3
Why hydrogen don't have neutron
It's protium that doesn't have a neutron. Protium is hydrogen's isotope.

i didn't understand this gibberish!!
Thank you so much! This was really useful for my exam and I got great marks in it too (bcoz of the video)
That's amazing 😃 so happy to hear that! Well done!
very helpful!! can i ask u a question that which app do you use to make this video?
Our designers use the adobe creative package.
No😂
👍🏿🤘🏿
I was about to doze off, and then u put that scary "Pop!" , almost killed me.
Nice video though.
Haha thanks! And sorry about the "pop"
I would be very interested in a video about hydrogen water and ionized water. Do you have anything like that?
I'm afraid we don't. But thanks for mentioning it, will make a note of that!
I wish I knew more about chemistry
So the teacher said I could teach the teacher!,! I chose these despite I am not old enough to learn this (I’m in third grade ) well I do wanna me a scientist or somthing when I grow up but yeah this is gonna be hard for the teacher ty for uploading dis!
No problem! Good luck with teaching the teacher 😉
I’m littraly about to teach the teacher and you just replied lol
Oh yeah is it okay if I “copied” the words you said
Sure, as long as you understood it yourself 😉
Alr great
Thanks so much for this great video I kept on search8mg up what hydrogen was and then I put on this video really helped.
Excellent! So glad it helped!
Very helpful
Thanks for your video
Happy to help!
(He)(Y) (Th)at's pretty good
LAME JOKE ALERT
Why guys un like th good videos
Just notice
In every osum videos
There are unlikes
It's very clear for understanding whatever you teach thank you the most & it helps me in many ways👍👍👍
Thank you for the information that you shared with me.
Glad it was helpful!
how much u earn from youtube !?
Can you pls tell me all the software that you use to create these awesome videos?
We use After Effects to create videos.
2:41 why was the pop so loud?
Very helpful.... Thanks
So glad!
TRITIUM HAS 2 neutrons... I don't understand how that could make it into a final video cut
I think that also
How many of you are here cuz ur teacher told u to watch this video???
Diagram pic sent
I did not understand this lecture but you clear all my concept.
Boy you didn't tell me whats good with Hydrogen
if the pH is more than 7 than that substance is alkaline nature .here you mentioned it as wrong.
Yes, when the pH is more than 7 the solution is alkaline. There is a glitch in the audio, the narrator is saying "lower than 7", in which case the solution is indeed acidic.
bruh.. tritium doesnt have 3 neutrons, only two and a proton
You are absolutely right! Sorry about the mistake.
I was here trying to learn more about hydrogen so that I can create a solid that is hydrogen-phobic. Do you have any advice as to where I can learn about such a thing?
VERY GOOD VIDEO, IM CURRENTLY IN SETTING MY OWN TARGET WHICH IS TO WATCH VIDEOS ON ONE ELEMENT IN A DAY. HYDROGEN WHICH IS THE FIRST ELEMENT THAT I WANT TO KNOW. AND I'M REALLY GLAD TO WATCH YOR TH-cam CHANNEL.
Well done, you've got a great goal! Glad our videos are helpful 🙂
@@fuseschool Yeah thanks again and hope in years to come, I am able to educate people as per your videos
shit my pants @ 2:40
Haha sorry about that!

4:02 two neutrons*
You're right!
When the pH is more than 7 it is alkaline
Yes, you are right.
Good girl. 😂😂😂😂😂
