- All roads lead to Silverstone: Join me on my journey from Paris to London via Rome for a quick holiday ahead of the highly anticipated 2022 Silverstone GP. In this video I made it my mission that I would arrive flying only national airlines to the Silverstone Grand Prix. The national airlines I decided to put to the test were France's Air France and Italy's ITA Airways. Both of these European Airlines impressed me greatly, especially in the food department although the ITA Airways pasta was luke warm, but tasty!

I always enjoy seeing the different airports, And how different airlines accommodate their passengers. Both say a lot about the respective cultures.
Please don’t base your opinion of the UK by the standards of our national carrier British Airways. They’ve been a national disgrace for as long as I can remember.

As a former track marshal at the iconic 'Mosport' in Ontario, Canada, you have refueled my passion for motorsport and you bring back fond memories of travelling to different tracks to work my corner as a flagger. Now as a gentleman of a certain age (70), I enjoy seeing you share your passion for ' the finer things '. ... As my father in law use to say, ... "Any fool can be uncomfortable!" ... I feel bad for secretly missing the usual taxi mayhem, car rental nightmares, lost/left behind items, visa problems and airline delays. Maybe things run smoother when the Mrs. Is there to help?

Oh No!! Green Motion... The only hire car company my excess deductible insurance wont cover. Look for reviews online. Very much hope you took photos... and good luck with the rental car return.
You know you’re rich when you can afford to change hotels after you’ve already checked in.
Do you pay for your whole stay when you check-in in Italy? Here in the States, you can easily change hotels mid stay and it won’t cost you any extra.
Only paid for first night.
Changing hotels is easy. Don’t be shy about leaving for a better hotel. Everyone does it.
Kym, by now, welcome to the UK! You keep saying enjoying some “French Champagne”. Champagne can only be French...otherwise it’s Sparkling Wine, Cava, Prosecco...or other regions. I know you get the idea 😂
Quiche, sweets, champagne, and cognac sounds perfect! It’s great when you can eat on the plane and not have to worry about finding food when you land. You can just go to the hotel and settle in or go out and explore the city. Great video!
Can’t stand Moxy hotels, strictly the basics and nothing more. Some don’t even have windows!

Stay away from green motion; they are scammers
I’ve stayed in that Hotel Indigo but only for two nights. I liked the property, but it wasn’t the most convenient location. Of course Rome’s metro is severely lacking compared to other major European cities. At least we got some walking in to burn off that delicious Italian food!
Looks like you got a better meal than on a similar distance US domestic first class. I generally care more about the space though and, other than connecting onto a transAtlantic business flight, I just can’t see paying the premium in Europe, meal or not, in business. Air France definitely has very good lounges at CDG!

Green Motion...well let me guess they didn't have the model of car you booked but offered you another better one for an extra fee. Only the one you've been offered you're thinking is the same group as the one you'd originally booked. Welcome to the Green Motion version of "find the pea under the cups' which you will lose.

😅 Sadly that’s the most impressive thing for me in this video, probably because I’m used to seeing the normal amenities like snacks/beverages, etc.
Since tobacco has been ostracized, I’ve never seen anything like that before. I’m used to taking risks of getting caught smoking or being somewhere I’m not supposed to be (because I’m smoking).

Don’t ever take Uber in Italy. They sub out to companies and it’s 3x more pricey.

I’ll second others comments. I enjoy your travel videos. I worked in the Silicon Valley & the joke was you were given your first plane ticket at orientation. Many of the engineers I worked with had a million frequent flyer miles & a few had two million miles. I must say I did all of my flying wrong compared to Kym. I’ll make sure to take some lessons from these videos.
You must spend an absolute fortune going to races, between flying business or first class, staying in fine hotels and eating incredible dinners. I wish I could afford it

Hey Kym, Next time that you are in Rome would suggest a hotel for you Bolivar Hotel... Very well located in the middle of everything, clean, amazing terrace for breakfast... Watch out for the grumpy lady who served coffee(haha)... Highly recommended.
While many are here for your F1 content, which is 1st class.. It's the travel videos that are bloody awesome.. Heaps of tips & tricks for other travelers..
Though one tip would be handy.. How do you stop your Ears from hurting & popping?? As I suffer from landings..

US airline domestic first class my not be perfect, but you get a much better seat than European airlines. I'd more rather have the seat than food.

Sat on the wrong side of the plane for the LHR approach. Right side gives you great London city views over the Thames (when the wind is coming from south or west).
