Love the Warning, such a brilliant three piece - been lucky enough to see them live twice this year ... And I've seen Godsmack, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Ozzy and many more (I'm a 60 yr old UK rock n' metal head!), and these ladies are one of my favourite all time live acts for sure! 🤘

In the earlier performances of Dust to Dust, they were joined on stage by The Warning’s manager Rudy Joffroy. During the breakdown he appeared as a preacher delivering a sermon to the audience in Spanish. He had difficulty keeping time with the band, so in later performances a prerecorded sermon was used. Here, during the breakdown you can’t even hear the sermon, as the 8,000 fans appear to be reciting it! Incredible! If you like, give yourself a treat, check out the original presentation of Dust to Dust at the Lunario to see Rudy, or the Teatro to hear the prerecorded sermon. Here Dany is smiling. At the Lunario Dany stayed in character as TW performed the whole album Queen of the Murder Scene. Dany in the role of the ‘Queen’ descends into obsession, madness and murder, losing her battle for her soul and sanity with each song. A tour de force performance!

You want to watch Dany's evil? Look no further to Queen Of The Murder Scene live at Teatro Metropolitan. She also has a solo there. Her vocals represent the evil voice inside the woman’s mind of the story in the album with the same name of the song.
I highly recommend watching their Lunario concert where they played the Queen of the Murder Scene album (where both of these songs come from) in its entirety. Dany really gets into character as the Queen and has some of the most intense faces I've seen from her.
You need to see Dany in full character as the Queen of the Murder scene in the album with the same name, their master piece, a concept album. The Lunario concert is a must watch.
Both of these songs are from their 2018 album Queen of the Murder Scene. It is a concept album which tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder and madness. The songs are told from the point of view of either the young lady's inner psychopath or her good side, which has a conscience - until it does not.
Dust to Dust is the first track on the album and it is a prologue that invites the listener into the story and introduces the main themes - life/death, good/evil, truth/lies, etc. The Spanish section is that of a preacher saying that you can receive salvation but it is something that you must work for. The lyrics have deeply religious undertones - life is short and unpredictable (“How quickly things can unfold”); there is an afterlife (“and we shall start again” and “the truth found in death”); we should distrust false prophets (“where are you going? Don’t trust all that you hear”); and judgment (“I don’t seek right or wrong”).
Dull Knives is track 9, the 2nd track of Chapter 3. In this song the Queen is losing control and seriously considering suicide. In the previous song, Sinister Smiles, she’s already thought of it. I assume dull knives cut “better” because they cause more pain, and at this point she is self-mutilating. She realizes that her evil side is winning. She is losing control.

There is no longer a Pepsi center in Denver. It was renamed Ball Arena a few years ago. Yes, The Warning has played in Denver, but they have played at a small Venue called The Marquis theater, once in 2022 and again in 2023. That’s a long winded way of saying, yes you are correct, this concert was at the Pepsi center in Mexico City. ⚡️🤘🏽
Dany's Kemper Profiler can split the guitar signal, and if you heard two guitars it might be that. Dany will put a delay on one channel and can use different effects on each so it is like having a second guitarist playing along for a bigger sound.
They use a separate prerecorded guitar track for Dull Knives in the outro (the same track as on the album) in all live performances of the song. Her stereo rig is only widening the sound, you can't really distinguish the channels.

The performance , lighting and sound were all top notch here .The editing on the camera work on these two songs , not so much , for one example when Pau played the drum fills near the end of dull knives .

Paulina may actually have been close to fainting! She was very sick at this concert (so sick they were considering cancelling) and her sisters were not at 100% either. And they still put on this amazing show!

Nice Reaction! Ignore the trolls! Most of them just want somebody to reply so they can start a fight. Both of these songs are on their second album Queen of the Murder Scene. After it's release they did a show in Mexico City called Lunario in 2018 and they played the whole album. What you heard from Dany in these songs is how she sings the whole album at Lunario. The songs tell a story of a girl obsessed with a guy, and it turns to murder. Pau sings the good side of the girl, Dany the bad.
Enjoyed the Warning songs live 13 months ago at Teatro Metropolitan. Now being released live at the Pepsi Center.

Dany just naturally assumes the evil Queen character when performing songs from their second album Queen of the Murder Scene. The concert from Lunerio plays the album in its entirety with a few songs from the first album between chapters. Dany in full character in this concert. 13 year old Ale also very animated. Not a character but displays the maniacal energy as the album progresses through the main characters assent into madness
Do yourself a favor and check out Dull Knives at Heaven and Hell 2018. 18 year old Dany, Pau 16 and 13 year old Ale in pig tails playing in front of a crowd of metal heads at a huge metal festival. The lineup that the crowd were waiting to see included Ozzy, Deep Purple, Gojira, Sabaton.....you get the idea. They absolutely win over the crowd. I'm sure most of them saw these little girls and thougth WTF?

Fainting? When they performed at a festival when they were younger, Pau actually had to be carried off her drum stool after the last song… and she needed medical attention… they’ve always put everything into their shows…

Dust to Dust/Dull Knives (Cut Better) pertenecen al álbum conceptual "Queen of the Murder Scene", fue editado en el 2018 y presentado en sociedad el 25 de noviembre de dicho año, en el mítico concierto del Lunario de CDMX.
La obra musical
Entre el 2017 y 2018, tres adolescentes mexicanas escriben, componen y recrean la historia ficcional de una joven perturbada por el deseo de un amor no correspondido.
Comenzando por un apego emocional; pasando de la obsesión a la psicopatía, finalizando con el asesinato y la locura.
Son 13 canciones diseminadas en un prólogo y cuatro capítulos de tres canciones cada uno de ellos. Las canciones están contadas en primera persona y es un viaje interior del personaje desde el amor a la obsesión, llegando al quiebre mental y el sinsentido.
La literatura de "Queen of the Murder Scene" de la banda The Warning, ingresa en ese estadío literario de Siglo XIX y principios de Siglo XX.
Edgar Allan Poe, Guy de Maupassant, o el mismo Horacio Quiroga con su "Cuentos de amor, locura y muerte", son referentes indiscutibles y que dieron inicio a la literatura negra, cuyo mayor exponente contemporáneo es Stephen King.
Catalina Arancibia Duran, Máster en literatura española e hispanoamericana, señaló: "El escritor H. P. Lovecraft afirmó que uno de los mayores temores del ser humano radica en lo desconocido. I am under the impression Dany's guitar output is split with one going direct to speaker and the other getting a very slight delay to speaker to make it sound more full and like there is a second guitar. I'm probably wrong, ask someone else how the engineering side is done from someone who knows such things. The Gear Master videos definitely show their EQ but it doesn't explain how her output is mixed to the speakers.
BTW, there is a second guitar track at the end of Dull Knives. It makes the ending even more epic, love it.
