You should try to do a video where you apply all your makeup without brushes and just use your fingers. Might be interesting to see how big of a difference it makes. Wonderful video and beautiful as always!
GIRL! I'm in love with your channel! You review make up like a scientist and an art teacher lol. I feel myself nodding along to your videos lol and like oh man I gotta run to the store! I was so excited to find your channel too because we have very similar features and color of eyes and hair. Makes it easy to buy products you recommend! Thanks!
I love how you get to the point ! Others usually ramble about unimportant aspects of the product. Like they would talk forever about the looks of the product instead of how it wears, or they just waste time by repeating themselves. You keep it short and simple. I like it! And you don't have an annoying super girly voice....I love it! I'm a new faithful subscriber.
Can I just say that I appreciate how much work and effort you put into your videos? I never feel like one of your videos is a "cop out" and can truly say that I enjoy every single one. Keep up the amazing work!
Great video, Emily! I love her "Sonia Kashuk Tools" line of brushes. I'm not sure where the pricing fits in compared to other luxury brands (I would love to hear your opinion on this!!), but the way the brush feels in your hand is amazing. You may not think that it is important, and that it's all about the bristles. But once you use the tapered handle you will see, it makes application so much easier! It's very ergonomic! I would love to see you do a one brand tutorial with this line!
These are one of my favorite types of videos! I always overlook Sonia Kashuk at Target, but it looks like I'll have to give it a try :) have a happy Sunday!
I usually overlook it too mostly because of the price! Its kind of in the middle of the road between drugstore prices and high end prices so depending on what I'm purchasing, I'll find something cheaper or just go with something high end if the prices are similar
I love your reviews Emily because they are so in depth and entertaining! In my 15+ year makeup journey I never ventured away from high end makeup, but the past year I've really started playing with drugstore makeup and liking it. These reviews really help as my biggest gripe was that drugstores don't have testers so I would never know what to go for and just felt overwhelmed. I trust your opinion and feel more guided after watching your reviews. I've recently gotten into Sonia Kashuk and after this vid have added some things to try to my list!
Is this product good for dry skin? I'm tired of wasting 44 dollars on a foundation that doesn't do what it does but I love it's coverage. I wanna try something cheaper, do u recommend this ?
You look so gorgeous and glowy! Not that it really matters, but you look thinner as well! So happy that you have been ever present through your pregnancy and since Belle's arrival. You are by far the most down to earth, informative, and fun channel around. Your consistency is unmatched and there is always such a high quality of content. So happy for you!!
I agree she's easily become my favorite beauty guru! I first discovered and subscribed right before she announced she was pregnant with Belle and I've watched prob every video since lol
In my opinion, I think those youtubers like Bethany Mota don't deserve to be called beauty gurus or have such crazy amount of subs. Emily actually does give informative beauty advice. Bethany and the others only yap about what they bought, which is what the million others have bought as well!
vane med I SOO could not agree more. I do not give credit of 'youtube beauty guruness' to ditz's that came on here and achieved their 15 minutes for being gloriously repetitive and pretentious. HOW Em isnt at the 2M and climbing mark is not only beyond me...but a clear indication of where society is headed...LOL Hows that for dramatic...LOL I just wait for her to grace my channel some day. Then all will be ok in my world again. Kind of.
Omg I totally agree!! All those kids getting millioms of views for useless content! I just saw a documentary on a girl who likes to cook while drunk! Smh
This is an excellent and informative video. I never shop at Target and it actually motivated me to go and pick up many of the things you mentioned. I agree with you, love the lip product, blush , concealer and foundation (I'm NC 30 in MAC and Creme and buff shades both suit me). Thank you for alerting me to a great brand with high quality products that are reasonably priced and cruelty free! On another note my trip to target introduced me to Pixie and Boots. Could you do this type of review for those brands? I really enjoy both of your channels so it's Great to have you back and congratulations on your beautiful daughter.
Could you please continue this series?! I'm really loving the format of this video, I would love to see what you have to say about other brands, like Wet n Wild and NYX!
Excellent review Em! I really appreciate your time putting all these products and earlier reviews together. It makes shopping the Sonia Kashuk line so much easier! Thank you!!!
I finally fell in love with the glow powder when I used it for setting my bobbi brown foundation stick. Love the foundation for being so beautifully natural looking but it can get a little sticky when I use it in the winter over a heavier moisturizer. I now use the SK buffing brush to put on the SK glow powder over it and the silky smooth finish of my skin lasts all day. It gives no coverage but for the stick foundation that's what I like since I want that natural look. My husband will feel my cheek later in the day sometimes and is surprised by the silky texture from the powder. Now I've also started using the glow powder in my crease, I love cream shadows but occasionally they will get a little wet in the crease after 6 hours or so and I'll hit them with that glow powder. I find the color doesn't change at all, the sparkle is only very minimally dulled, and I can get another few hours before they crease. Hope that helps you love the powder too! I went from ready to return it to hitting major pan. I picked up the blush in melon around the same time and now I'm pretty sure I need them all....if you wanted to dupe them first so I know which ones I already have versions of in my collection that would be ok too ;).
I know this is an old video but i just want to say I love your videos! They are so in depth and really touch on all of the important points with the make up you review! I watch you and Tati before buying almost anything!! I love you both but Girl I gotta say Tati Westwood better watch out you are both my go to Makeup Investigators!!
I really like your blush in this video. It's not the usually "blush" look, and looks a bit more... healthy, I guess? It really looks like you were outside in the cold and got all pink cheeked or were running around. It's very pretty.
I'm really discovering the Sonya Kashuk brand now. It is reasonably prices and I feel the colors are very accurate and balanced in shades. The Shine Sheer Lux lipsticks are very compatible to the Laura Marcie ones. They feel very similar on the lips. I've watched your review on the matte lip crayons and purchased a few of the shades and they are gorgeous! I like almost all the colors I got and the price is very reasonable. I also purchased the Shine Lux Sheer Lip color in Sheer Berry and Eden. The Sheer Berry is amazing! Its a pink beery sheer color and very moisturizing. The Eden is more Coral and little less pigmented but still pretty. It can also be great if you combine it with other Matte color to add some moisture and complement the shade with a more personal color mixing. Thank you for the very informative review. I learn a lot and I'm thankful for that!
Emily! You should do a one brand tutorial using Sonia Kashuk. Maybe I'm wrong and you have but I'd love to watch an updated version since there's so many new items you've tried recently
From what I've read, a lot of people use the Chic Luminosity powder as you would Nars' Light Reflecting powder and love it. I think a lot of people have been disappointed with it because there is not a lot of info on it and there is nothing really like it in drugstores so people don't know what it is exactly. The name is a little misleading in that "luminosity" normally suggests that it is either a highlighter or that it's supposed to be like Hourglass's Ambient powders when it is neither. It's a very subtle powder, not life-changing but it softens the look of skin a bit and some people love it.
I don't own many SK items but have been eyeing their brushes. I really enjoyed this video and thank you for taking the time to film. I know having a new born is very difficult and time consuming (and wonderful) and taking time to film and share with us is probably not the easiest. Thanks again!
Sonia Kashuk's eye makeup remover is magnificent, if you haven't tried it, check it out, removes EVERY bit of makeup, does not sting the eye, leaves very little residue that's easy to remove with cleanser. My very favorite compared to all high end removers.
This was such a thorough and extensive review.....so much time and effort put in on your part....thank you so much for your time....much appreciated xx
I rarely hear anything about Sonia Kashuk products, so I was glad to see this! I have a couple of the holiday brush sets and they are amazing, and this gives me enough motivation to go out and try some of the makeup!
Oh Emily, the white compact is the best. Keep trying it. I use it under my eyes at the top of cheekbones and do not need a concealer or highlighter, it does both.. It is one of the products I MUST have
I need to try more of her makeup; I have tons of SK brushes and love them all. The crease brush with the white handle has been one of my absolute favorites for years.
I was so excited when I saw the title of this video! I was introduced to Sonia Kashuk's line through your videos and you have never steered me wrong when recommending her products. I also agree with you about that white glow powder. It does absolutely nothing.
I've been wanting to try Sonia Kashuk for a while now but keep putting it off. Now I that i have some more info and things I'll have an excuse to try it. Thank you Miss Emily!
Emily - I absolutely love the S.K. eyeliner palette. I grew up using cake eyeliners, and she hit it out of the ballpark with this one. There are 5 or 6 different colors. I use it with a wet eyeliner brush, and the liner stays on all day. Blessings, prayers, love, and hugs.......MaryEllen
I needed a new blush brush and it had come down to the Bobbi Brown or Sonia Kashuk, both had been recommended by TH-camrs. I went with the Sonia Kashuk, even though it was in the more expensive line of her brushes, maybe $25, still quite a bargain compared to the Bobbi Brown. So glad I did, it lays blush seemlessly, is so soft, just the right density and doesn't smell. (Sorry Bobbi Brown...) Once again, great video. Thank you for all you do!
i def. want to p/u that concealer palette, but i wanted to mention a couple of her blushes that are must haves..my favorite 2 are "sunset" & "spice"..the later being perfect for this time of year. i'm actually glad i saw this video bc i'd totally forgotten i had it so tysvm! lol.. as far as her brushes, i had p/u that med. shadow brush and i've pretty much used it for my lid colors ever since! it's just perfect. i did see a holiday set recently on IG that is just beautiful that looks interesting.. reviews have it rated not too bad. i had heard the face brushes were soft & nice and the bigger eye brushes were good, but the last 3 smallest weren't "as" good. but they didn't say they were 'bad" either. just not as soft. The set itself is absolutely gorgeous! (black & gold)
Hi Emily! I really love some of the Sonia Kashuk blushes. The ones I use the most are Spice, Pink Rose and Sunset. Also, the cream blush in Blossom is lovely.
I'm so glad you did this video! I've been purchasing some Sonia Kashuk products lately, but there's a lot of things I want to try that I haven't heard anything about, so you usually think they aren't good if no one talks about them. So, thank you so much for getting this out there and talking about some hidden gems! Love your channel so much!
I just discovered your channel and I just discovered this brand today! You're like the first TH-camr that does makeup who sounds totally educated and I love it! I'm definitely going to try more than just the foundation stick I just got now! You're also gorgeous girl and you could totally be a news anchor haha. Thanks for the review! Subscribed!!! 😁😁😁😁
You're obviously always beautiful, but since you've had Belle, you've looked SOOO great! You just look happy and radiant. Thank you for making time for us even as a new mama :)
Incredibly helpful review!! I sure would like to see more of these. I know that some products in a line can be hit and miss, so it's nice to know ahead of time what to watch for. Thanks so much Emily.
I just wanted to say how much I love appreciate you and your videos! You are so real and honest, you give such details on a wide range of product, and I love that you review so many drugstore brands! I love high end just like the next girl, but like most of us, don't have the budget. I always turn to you if I am interested in a particular product! Thanks so much!! :)
Thanks! This was great! And I LOVE that matte neutrals palette! I use it all the time and, as I use warmer tones, this is for me, the palette that fills the niche that the cooler toned Naked Basics can't fill.
Perfect timing! I've been using Sonia Kashuk products a lot lately and I've been wanting to try more products! You should try her Radiant+ Tinted Moisturizer! It has the coverage of a foundation but it doesn't have that weird oily/shiny feel associated with BB creams and TMs. It wears surprisingly well too :)
great video Emily! I have been hit or miss with the SK products I've tried so this totally helps. I am also so impressed with how you've kept up the videos with the birth of your little girl!! Congratulations!!
Emily, Yet another clear, informative, thorough and well rounded video. You are a pre--shopping must with fact based opinions and thoughtful insights and swatches. You are a beauty encyclopedia. Thank you!!
I absolutely love your videos! You really take the time to explain the pros and cons of each product in a very genuine way. My friend told me to subscribe to you and I'm glad she did, you're quickly becoming one of my favorites! ♡
I love these brand guide videos! Sonia Kashuk always catches my eye in Target yet I've never tried anything. Those matte lip pencils remind me so much in appearance of the NARS ones.
Wonderful video!! I didn't want it to end, I wanted you to review more items in her line even though you covered a lot of ground. My Target never has testers available so I'm very hesitant to buy some products, not knowing if they're good quality, pigmented enough, etc. thanks for this video!!
I love sonia kashuk! I think the glow powder is actually meant to be used as a setting powder for your foundation to give your face that lit from within "glow." At least that's what I saw another TH-camr use it for and she seemed to really like it for that purpose :)
Hi Hi😃 I'm so glad you covered this line because I had been debating on whether or not to pick up the eye on neutral pallet in matt. I saw this video a few days ago and decided to go ahead and pick it up. Have it all swatched out on my arm and I'm in love. The second shade down from the left feels like butter and the black is SO opaque. You had said that the shimmer pallet had more rose undertones so I passed on that one as I have the Naked 3 pallet and now that summers over I've really been looking to warm things up. I'm so excited to play around with them😉 Thanks for the great reviews, I know I can always trust your recommendations. Xo
LOVE her brushes. I have so many and think they are the best. I like the matte palette, but I find that sometimes the colors don't blend easily. Great video!
I also love a lot of the Sonia Kasuk products! The large duo fiber brush is great for loose powder or foundation. The mascara comb has been a staple for many years now. But as far as other products go.... The eyebrow gel palette was so-so at best, the colors don't go on very well and they don't stay on very well. The liquid liner was completely unimpressive compared to others (new favorite is the L'Oréal Lineur Intense liquid eyeliner in black). The eyeliner is not pigmented very much at all and several coats had to be applied to make a really bold line. And the brush was not the best ever. Great video!!
The Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover 'Remove' is my HG! I have lashes that point down naturally, so I have to curl my lashes and use waterproof mascara. This stuff takes off all of my eye makeup quickly and doesn't irritate my eyes.
Emily, I'm not sure if you knew this but the Shine Luxe Lip Colors, the bottom portion of the lipstick where the color guides are, if you pop open that plastic there is also product in there too.
AWESOME tips Emily thank you! I was really starting to look at some Sonia Kashuk products and thankfully you just helped me out a LOT!! I really love the makeup brushes I have by her they are great quality! XO You look beautiful here doll XO
I always take your opinion in to deep consideration. Your information is always backed by knowledge and experience; and your honesty (about products and tools) outweighs most other's. I also always get excited for your uploads and I'm never disappointed. I tend to lean more towards you over anyone else when I want to learn something new, hear about products I've never tried or have contemplated trying, and when I want an easy or practical (yet glamorous) makeup look :) Now I'm seriously contemplating purchasing one or both of the Sonia Kashuk palettes.... Thanks for the info and tips! Look forward to many more from you. Love from Canada
Loved the video!!! I would love to see you do a video on how you film! Like the lighting, what camera, the editing! Like an "Emily behind the scenes" video! :)
Excellent info.. I have the matte eyeshadow palette and the same brushes and I love all so far. Maybe I'll have to try some other products. Thanks for the time you put into regiewing these. Heather.
l recently purchased the dramatically defining long wear gel eyeliner in ebony by Sonia Kashuk and I love it!! The color doesn't smudge throughout the day and staying power is awesome. I use the Real Techniques eyeliner brush and it goes on beautifully.
I like that you give the price and where to find the product because when I go to try to find a lot of the times I don't and that's a big help to also save time and gas. thank you!
I love the Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover too. I know you like the Olay wipes but you should try it. Its easily the best in the drugstore removers category.
Craziness I have been eyeing the SK COLLECTION forever now & have been hesitant to try but now I know which products to try out :) great video like always!
Emily I LOVE videos like this and you're my go to gal on here for trusting in your opinion about a product because you're so detailed about everything. You're not like "OMG I JUST LOVEE THISSS BECAUSE IT MAKES ME LOOK PURTY!" haha. Anyways, I'll be going to Target now because of this :D
Do you find that the Sonia Kashuk All Covered Up Concealer has better or worse coverage than the Benefit Erase Paste? I have the Erase Paste and I like it for the moisture it provides but I just don't find the coverage all the good. Would love to hear your thoughts!! Thanks Emily, love your videos!!
You need to try the Sonia kashuk hand cream and body lotion in tuberose Amber & magnolia (pink flower packaging). My boyfriend actually noticed the smell and complemented me. And I actually ended up buying the perfume as well cause I fell in love with the scent myself. There are two other scents but I didn't try them, I did smell them in the store tho.
Seeeee...now I like a handful of sonia kashuk products, but some of her stuff is only $1-$3 away from MAC prices. I would much much rather shell out a couple more dollars (especially on her lipsticks-some are $13!!) & get a higher end brand. Don't get me wrong, I do love some of her things
Hey Emily have you ever tried using the chic luminosity glow powder that you mentioned to set under eye concealer? I heard that it's really good for that and that it is comparable to the Hourglass highlighting powders. Anyway great video, as always! I can't wait to pick up some new things from the brand :)
I have the blush in "sunset". It looks scarey in the package so don't let that deter you! It looks so natural on my very pale skin. It's my every day blush and it lasts a good long while.
Thanks for such a helpful video, as ALWAYS. I love these brand best and worst type videos!! I remember when you did an NYC version back in the day :) I love my hidden agenda concealer palette, I use it everyday!!
Hi Emily, thanks for the review!! Your reviews are always helpful for me. I have psoriasis and always have a difficult time trying to find what products work for my skin and/or products that won't irritate my skin (very dry, red, sensitive skin), and products that will campuflage my flair ups without reacting to my medication. I seem to gravitate to your page for recommendations. Thank you again for all of your reviews. :) I hope your daughter is a very happy and healthy baby.
One of the troubles I have with the brand is that the products are all kind of warm. My perfecting luminous foundation (lightest shade), all covered up concealer (lightest shade), and powder bronzer are all warm for me. I kind of like the chic luminosity powder, I set my foundation with it and I think it's slightly perfecting on fine lines. No oil control, unfortunately, so I have to use something else on my nose.
I love the sonia Kashuk blush in flamingo. I wear it with the almay eye shadow for blue eyes, the one with the blue eye shadow for blue eyes. Also I love the eyeliners from sonia kashuk they stay put all day but come off easily at the end of the day. The two sonia kashuk eyeliners in ebony and cocoa are staples in my makeup kit.
I purchased the Chic Luminosity Glow Powder and although I don't see any glow on my skin I have found that it works as a very nice under eye setting powder. Maybe that will work for you and others who have purchased it.
Wow! I really love your look in this video. I feel like it's a nice contrast to the more intense makeup seen in the majority of your other videos (which is also nice!). This is the perfect "mommy face": glam, clean, and very natural beauty.
You should try to do a video where you apply all your makeup without brushes and just use your fingers. Might be interesting to see how big of a difference it makes. Wonderful video and beautiful as always!
I LOVE this idea!
emilynoel83 Awesome! :)
I tried this after I saw Drew Barrymore do it with her line. Was fun but blending was tricky :)
She did 1 already
You do realize this was the comment that inspired that video right? lol
You are honestly one of my favorite youtubers; I get so excited when you upload. :)
how nice!! thank you so much :D
emilynoel83 haha me too! There's only a few that I get so excited about: Emily, Teni Panosian, and Pixiwoo =)
Word
Ditto!

+Denise Chavez You said it! Thank you.
You are so awesome to have taken the time to do this. When I had my son I was a wreck for 2 months, and you've already bounced back. :)
Can I just say that I appreciate how much work and effort you put into your videos? I never feel like one of your videos is a "cop out" and can truly say that I enjoy every single one. Keep up the amazing work!
I just LOVE your reviews.....your so on point with all the information you include! Thank you so much! :)
I'm so glad! Thank you!! :)

Totally agree on the smudge brush... It's been relocated to the nail polish drawer... Works great for cuticle clean up after a manicure!
I tend to binge watch a plethora of youtubers whenever I look up brands I'm interested in and I ALWAYS seem to come back to your video reviews!
I don't own many SK items but have been eyeing their brushes. I really enjoyed this video and thank you for taking the time to film. I know having a new born is very difficult and time consuming (and wonderful) and taking time to film and share with us is probably not the easiest. Thanks again!

Super helpful! Thank you for doing this in depth review! All my questions were answered!
You should do a tutorial using products you HATE on one side and a similar look on the other side with products you love
You're the only youtuber whose opinion I actually trust ❤️ I'll probably be heading to target now haha!
(Sorry Bobbi Brown...)
Once again, great video. Thank you for all you do!
I love the Jewel Of An Eye palette from this line. Beautiful jewel tone shadows with great staying power.
Could you start making this a series with other brands please? I love how honest and informative your videos are.
i def. want to p/u that concealer palette, but i wanted to mention a couple of her blushes that are must haves..my favorite 2 are "sunset" & "spice"..the later being perfect for this time of year. i'm actually glad i saw this video bc i'd totally forgotten i had it so tysvm! lol..
as far as her brushes, i had p/u that med. shadow brush and i've pretty much used it for my lid colors ever since! it's just perfect. i did see a holiday set recently on IG that is just beautiful that looks interesting.. reviews have it rated not too bad. i had heard the face brushes were soft & nice and the bigger eye brushes were good, but the last 3 smallest weren't "as" good. but they didn't say they were 'bad" either. just not as soft. The set itself is absolutely gorgeous! (black & gold)
Hi Emily! I really love some of the Sonia Kashuk blushes. The ones I use the most are Spice, Pink Rose and Sunset. Also, the cream blush in Blossom is lovely.
Em I just talked about that terrible chic luminosity powder in my faves vid (unfavorite for sure) so awful!! love SK but that was a total fail for me!
And another plus, sonia Kashuk is cruelty free!!! They do not sell in china which is amazing.
Thank you!!
omg. yes. do more of these brand guides!
I absolutely love your videos! You really take the time to explain the pros and cons of each product in a very genuine way. My friend told me to subscribe to you and I'm glad she did, you're quickly becoming one of my favorites! ♡
Glad to hear that crease brush is a favorite! After getting the small shadow brush, I contemplated getting the crease brush.
Great info cause I've been wanting to try some Sonia kashuk products but didn't know if they're worth it or where to start! Thanx
I'm so excited to play around with them😉
Thanks for the great reviews, I know I can always trust your recommendations. Xo
LOVE her brushes. I have so many and think they are the best. I like the matte palette, but I find that sometimes the colors don't blend easily. Great video!
I love how Tatis favorites were your least favorites and her least favorite were your favorites
I love Sonia Kashuk's black-handled professional brushes. I've used them for years.
I tend to lean more towards you over anyone else when I want to learn something new, hear about products I've never tried or have contemplated trying, and when I want an easy or practical (yet glamorous) makeup look :)
Now I'm seriously contemplating purchasing one or both of the Sonia Kashuk palettes....
This video was so helpful! I definitely need to get my hands on some of these products!!
Thank you for making this video, this must have taken a lot of work!
thank you for watching! :)
And I love those shader brushes! They pick up the product so well and pack on great!!!
Love this video! Would be great to see this type of video for other brands as well!
I love this format! please do more brands like this! your reviews are so fair. I cant believe how NOT tired you look for a new mommy!!! lol
Love this . Thanks for the review Emily!!!
Is SK oil only can be used with foundation?
wish you would do a 1 brand tutorial on this brand. I dont think you've done this one yet. bring those back!!
Thanks for the breakdown, very helpful! I'm going to try out the foundation!
Craziness I have been eyeing the SK COLLECTION forever now & have been hesitant to try but now I know which products to try out :) great video like always!
Emily you should try and review some things from the brand colourpop!
I just tried the All Covered Up Concealer and it works better than the Bobbi Brown I have. Thank you so much for your recommendations.
Really enjoyed this video! This would be a great series with other brands.
You look beautiful!!! Hope to see a tutorial on your makeup!!! Thanks for the info on the Sonia Kashuk products.
Wow! I really love your look in this video. I feel like it's a nice contrast to the more intense makeup seen in the majority of your other videos (which is also nice!). This is the perfect "mommy face": glam, clean, and very natural beauty.
